Pros:

Staff was good pickup and drop off was good, vehicle was dirty inside even with a sanitized seal on the door. I had to vacuum the inside before loading it for our trip. The right rear tire had a slow leak and i had to add air air few days to turn the warning light off. The vehicle needed some repairs, the tires were out of balance and vibrated the entire two thousand mile trip. The alignment was off and the vehicle pulled to the right, just enough to give me a sore arm at the end of the trip. The brakes vibrated bad on moderate to hard braking. I informed the drop off clerk of the problems and he thanked me for the information but offered nothing in the way of an apology. We were helping with our granddaughters wedding and had no time to return and or replace the vehicle on this trip.

Cons:

The vehicle could have been clean and in good repair.

My vehicle was damaged from hitting a deer. Body shop said it would take two weeks for repairs. So I rented for that amount of time. After three days they declared it a total loss. Returned the car four days after the first day of rental. I was told they could not reimburse me because it was a prepay. Called hertz twice. Was told a supervisor would call me back. Never got a call. Filled out a survey and told them about my problem. Survey said I would get a response but never heard anything back. I live on social security and this is alot of money to me. Seems like hertz is more interested in making a profit than customer service. Will never deal with hertz again. Bernard Lohr

The vehicle, a Nissan Rogue, was in terrible condition. Front end shook continually, glad we made it.

The local office called me and said "No cars" despite my reservation. The domino effect on my travel plans .... disaster. The platform needs an overhaul.

Called ahead to confirm car. Told we get what they had the day of pickup. On day of pickup car not available and replacement was to filthy to use as previous renters had animals in it and also damaged driver door and hertz had neither checked or cleaned the vehicle. Had to drive an hour to another location for vehicle. It was what we rented but was still filthy. Cleaned it myself as it was needed for vacation. Returned car following week and the car I had refused was still in the same location from when I refused it so it went another week with cleaning. Pitiful. Not the employees fault. Only one person was covering everything. Will never use this company again.
