Pros: Easy drop off, alamo on the phone was super helpfulCons: Customer service at Memphis Airport Alamo was horrendous on pick up day. Rude agents, unable to answer simple questions. No one wearing masks. Instead of being helpful or understanding, they were rude and demeaning.

Pros: Nothing.Cons: Our flight landed after the location at the airport closed. We though that since we had done online check in we would still be able to pick up our car. We were wrong. When we arrived there was no car for us, no one at the counter who could help us, and even if there had been a car all of the exits were blocked so we wouldn't have been able to get out. We had to call several numbers and wait on hold for over half an hour before getting in touch with the national line. We were told there was nothing they could do for us until the location opened the next day but they would be able to cancel our reservation. The area we were visiting doesn't have other reliable means of transportation so we were stuck in the airport for over 2 hours just trying to find a way to get where we needed to go. They should at least have offered us an Uber/taxi credit but they said they could nothing to help us. We weren't the only travelers in this situation. There were two other individuals on our flight who had booked rentals from Alamo that were also stuck without a car, late at night, stranded at the airport.

Pros: Getting rid of the car was easy. Pull up get out and walk away.Cons: Picking up the car was a nightmare. Long line. Not enough people working. The few that were there weren't interested in working. Zero concept of customer service.

Pros: Pick up was awful. We had to wait over 2hrs to get a car even though we confirmed it the previous day with the local agent. Drop of was fine.Cons: You need to have more cars on the lot or better ways to obtain one if they are not turned in on time which was the case in our instance. We were not offered a reduced rate or anything for our inconvenience. It was an awful experience!

Avis/Kayak lost the reservationCons: Avis had sold out of cars, but had my reservation code allocated to another person. Only after 90 minutes did we rent from Payless next door, and still get an Avis car. Avis was unable to resolve the situation as nobody could figure out how to bypass the computer system to give us a car. The reservation code had my email and info, but was given to another driver. Yet, they couldn't give me a car. Mindless drones that were not empowered to make a decision for a customer.

KAYAK and AVIS drop the ball.Cons: We reserved a mini van around 10 days prior to pickup. We received a phone call the day before asking if we had to have a mini van, if we would want a Ford Explorer instead. I said "no", we needed a minivan. We arrived at 8:30 the next morning, to start our family vacation by renting the minivan, and there was no minivan. The Avis employee said that there had been a glitch on KAYAK and on AVIS website that quoted a lower price on the minivans, therefore causing them all to be rented. There was no minivan there, even though they called me the night before asking me if I wanted something different, and I told them no. They again asked if I wanted an Explorer, and I told them "no" again. They didn't even have an Explorer on site to rent. After waiting for 20 minutes, nothing happened. No minivan, no Explorer, nothing. I called ENTERPRISE and reserved an minivan over the phone, which was DOUBLE the rate that KAYAK/AVIS quoted me, but it was available immediately. I still have received no explanation from KAYAK or AVIS. Probably wont use either of these companies again.

Pros: The second van was a new model.Cons: The lie they tell about having what you reserved when paying in advance. The rudeness of the staff. The wait time for picking up our vehicle and the hassle dropping it off. They dont have a problem taking our money. The amount of money that customers pay they should have excellent customer service. We keeping them employed. I paid 500 dollars for nothing but hassle.

Pros: I appreciated that I got the vehicle I requested.Cons: My truck had no tags on it. My pickup was for 4 pm, but I vwas told that I would have to either go to the airport in the truck with no tags or wait until someone from the airport could bring it. I couldn't believe they asked me to drive a truck with no tags. Eventually some tags were put on the truck and I was on my way.

Pros: My vehicle was in the shop so needed a last minute vehicle. It was a good size. After cleaning it we were able to use for exactly what was needed a short vacation.Cons: The car was very dirty, it wasn’t vacuumed. I had to dis infect it when I got it home. The windshield was cracked and drips of drinks and what not on the doors and seats. For having to pay $65 per day it was pretty gross.

on time pick up?Pros: The van was nice enough.Cons: We were scheduled to pick up around 8am. The van wasn't there until after 11am. Then it wasn't clean - granted we told them we were in a hurry and not to worry about cleaning it (seeing as pick up was 3hrs late). Customer service at the pickup location was ridiculously slow and they were unaware folks could be in a hurry.

BAD experience - Reservation & Confirmation but NO VEHICLE!!Pros: NothingCons: On 5/08/18, I made an online reservation to rent a large SUV for 5/12/18 to 5/19/18. I received a confirmation number for said vehicle. I was renting a larger car for a road trip vacation to the Gulf Coast. I went to pick up the large SUV the day before we were leaving. When I spoke with the agent at the counter, she said they did not rent large SUVs at that location. She also said they only rent large SUVs at the airport location. She checked and they didn't have any available. The agent didn't even attempt to do anything to assist me. She didn't offer any other vehicle nor did she attempt to contact other locations for an acceptable alternative. WHAT?!?! Then why did their online system allow me to select and make a reservation for that type of vehicle?? My wife had suggested that I call the location right after I made the reservation to verify. I called several times on 5/08/18, going through telephone menu hell, selecting all the correct options to get to speak to someone at the specific location. I NEVER got a human being on the phone! The telephone menu kept sending me around in circles!! WOW! What poor customer service! I will never rent or attempt to rent another vehicle from Budget again!

“Good luck finding something else”Pros: Reservation for 1200; I work as a medic & had a horrible last call that held me over. Called number listed and spoke with Leah who said I could come in at 1500, no problem. Get to store and am rudely dismissed by being told, “well, they lied to you,” chased by laughter. Had to take a gas-guzzler that hadn’t been cleaned (sand, shells, food everywhere throughout back I ended up having to clean). Taunted the entire time by Ernest, my CSR, because “you gettin’ a car. I don’t know what you mad about. Enterprise closed; good luck getting something else...welcome to Budget Memphis.” After I defined what the word empathy meant and suggested that he, a representative of the company, should show some by way of at least a robotic apology, he laughed and refused.Cons: Everything save the two ladies working when I returned the vehicle; they were lovely.

Cons: The pickup was slow. It was a one woman operation. I even had to wait for her to wash the car. Upon returning the car to a different location, I was accused of causing three tiny pebble sized dings in the windshield, that I did not cause. I won't intentionally rent from Budget again.

Unfriendly business practices, friendly staffPros: Friendly and helpful staff.Cons: Location does not offer shuttle service from the airport. You must procure your own, at your expense, and they refuse to reimburse. This seems to be a regional corporate decision to not drive business away from the onsite airport offered services, however based on my experience those seem to regularly be overbooked, forcing you to pay for a cab or uber. Absolutely ridiculous. In addition, the car was filthy and reeked of marijuana, which the staff noted before we took the car. We had to buy air fresheners to mask the odor.

Cons: The location of the pick up was away from the airport and I was instructed to get an Uber? Once I arrived at the location i was told that they are closed on Monday and would have to pay a $100.00 fee to drop the car off at the airport. I had to schedule with another car company to have transportation not to mention the time and money I lost for an item I had planned for in advance.

Wrong locationPros: NothingCons: I had requested a rental at the airport. Went to the airport desk and was told I was at the wrong location. I asked if I could rent at this location and was told they didn't rent to walk ups. I could not get reception on my cell phone to call enterprise to make a new reservation. The lady behind The desk did not wish to assist me. So we rented from another company at the airport.

It would have been good ...Pros: the vehicle was nice and comfortable. The people wasn't too friendlyCons: Okay, my insurance rented me a vehicle there because mine was totaled. I wind up paying for the last week with my debit card. I turned the vehicle in on time with no problems or issues. I go back to rent again a day later and Enterprise ran me thru so problem because I didn't have a bill to show them. They would not let me rent again. I think that was rather petty and I think racism had a part to play in this too. My bank account was still good and I was using the bank issued debit card so why run me thru all of the red-tape ...

Pros: LocationCons: I was not aware I needed my insurance card. It was not required at other car rentals. It took time to contact my insurance company to get the information. The biggest issue was the car was not cleaned. There were food crumbs all over the dash and console, windows dirty, etc. THE SMOKE SMELL WAS TERRIBLE.When I brought it back 5 days later it still stank.
