Happy to take our money up front but when collecting the car we were told they need a credit card for us to have the car. We told them we had paid for the car already. We ended up with no car for our trip.

Pros:

Clean car and smooth pick-up process.

Cons:

Following drop off, someone from Budget called to say they had found a nik in the window and tried to hold me responsible. At no point did I hear anything while driving. Moreover, they should have checked the car upon return and brought it to my attention then.

I ordered a compact and was offered a large van. I was traveling by myself. A compact would have been fine. With gas prices over $2 a litre I was not happy with a large van.

My reservation was for a VW Jetta or similar, the car I received was a Chevy Spark. It would have been around a hundred dollars for a 2day upgrade. I am a tall man, I was not impressed to say the least.

The car should have had winter tires as we arrived in Kelowna when it was very snowy and slippery on the roads. We were told we did not need winter tires yet we would be responsible for anything that happened on the road even if as a result of the weather conditions. We definitely should have had winter tires.

The excellent customer service of pick up and drop off. Even though Driving Force was not located at the airport, and needing to take a 20min. taxi ride to the pick up/drop off area, the price point is still attractive and affordable. Thank you to the Driving Force team and best wishes!

The store is the least attractive/comfortable place I’ve ever seen in business. The washroom is unspeakable. Counter staff rude. Overall surprised a large company like Hertz would be ok with putting their sign on something like this.

The rental agency refused to honor the reservation price. My wife was offered a pickup truck at 60% premium to our original booking for a compact car. Only under the threat of cancellation did the provider magically "discover" a compact SUV that suddenly become available for a smaller premium. We elected to cancel anyhow and were met with a hostile response. Avoid Hertz in Kelowna!

I never got a car. After booking on kayak I even called thrifty directly to give my credit card info. They assured me not needed and I could provide when I picked up my vehicle, which when I arrived, the local thrifty location had no reservation. Horrible experience and actually cost me money taking a cab Lol the way to that locale
