Good car, although it has several dings and scratches. I spent almost hour and a half to get it, there were three reps at the site but took so long to take care of each of the customers.

My price was double the price quoted when I got to the rental counter. After standing in line for two hours. I decided to take a Lyft to see my mother at the hospital. I didn’t have time for last minute hustle and haggling. I would have spoken to a manager, but I was too frustrated and I needed to make good use of my time. As a professional, you should honor the price that you quoted your customer. It was a disappointment.

I booked through kayak, which come to find out did not book my reservation at the airport location but instead all the way across town. The Airport location would not honor the price I had on kayak and wanted to charge me 3X the amount for my rental. So I had to pay $30 for a cab across town to the location kayak had booked. When I get there, they didn’t even have the convertible that I had booked and instead stuck me in a horrible 3 yr old sedan that still had trash in it from the last renter. When you put in the airport code as the location, you expect to be renting from the airport location not some random shack all the way across town.

When I picked up my rental they told me I'd rented an electric car...nowhere in any selection or rental agreement did it say anything about electric. My destination was in an apartment parking garage and I'd have no access to a charger so I told them electric wouldn't work. They said my only option was to upgrade for an additional $120. They gave me a Jeep Compass that was filthy on the outside. Poor experience all around.

I selected San Antonio airport for the location, but somehow got switched to a Hertz 15 minutes away from the airport and further away from my Airbnb. I could either pay more than double my booking rate there or take an Uber to the other location. We took an Uber and I had made the mistake of selecting the manager special to save $1 a day, but that would only be an electric car which I know nothing about or where to charge and I didn’t want to deal with that so I ended up paying $15 more a day for a regular basic 4 sedan. I called Hertz to ask if I could drop the car off at the airport instead and it would be $90 extra, so we ubered again to save money. The staff at the location I ended up at were nice but didn’t offer to help with any of the issues that had occurred. The lady at the airport counter was rude and basically laughed at me thinking I could get that low of rates at the airport. I haven’t rented a car in years and have never paid that much or had this issue occur. Idk if this was a booking through a third party issue but in the future I’ll do more research and not just trust what is put in front of me.
