I was upgraded which was nice. The shuttle stop was recently moved which was frustrating but not the fault of the rental center. Very friendly and helpful staff, made pick up and return a breeze.

Somehow my contact number was messed up between Kayak and Enterprise so I was not contacted prior to pick up and no email contact info was shared between Kayak and Enterprise either. When I arrived to pick up the vehicle, they did not have the correct one that I reserved and I was forced to downgrade (at a higher rate than what I reserved) or not get a rental. A lot of miscommunication that resulted in frustration. I will avoid using Kayak in the future.

The staff at pick up was great and very efficient.The drop off in Erie could have been better. The airport was closed and there was no signage of where to drop the car or the key. We were thankful the airport police officer helped us out.

When I went to pick up my reserved rental it wasn't there cause others were late returning theirs... so they did everything they could as quickly as possible to get me a vehicle of the size I needed... and very friendly staff!!!!!The 800 number I had said that I couldn't drop off the vehicle a day early cause it was closed. So the next day when I went to drop it off the person there said I could have and showed me the drop box... because of this I had no one to take me back home that day which was an hour drive away and had to start walking in the rain back home... thankfully a nice person gave me a ride even though I was soaking wet from walking

The staff did their best to make a bad situation better. The Caravan was comfortable and did end up working for our vacation.They didn’t have the car we reserved. I reserved a Suburban (or something comparable) weeks earlier for our vacation and the day before we were to pick it up they called to say they wouldn’t have it or really anything comparable. They offered us a Tahoe which has no storage or a Dodge Caravan. After looking at both we picked Caravan. The car worked but I was not happy with switch at last minute. No point in reserving a car if they won’t have it.

Pick-up and drop-off were very quick. Typically I don't like how much time and paperwork there is at pick-up, but it was very quick this time.Did not give me the option on what car I would get, I would have liked to pick which one from what they had available.

The staff was always excellent -- friendly and professional.The car had a used straw on the floor and a dried splatter of something in the back of the front passenger headrest. So in this time of Covid I had to clean it thoroughly myself. I had a flat on the way to my destination which led to a 3 hour delay and I missed my flight. Although tow charges were forgiven, I was charged an extra day for keeping the car since I had opted out of roadside service. My only issue is that I wasn't given my options as the decision changed from bringing me a car to being towed 2 hours later than expected. Wish I'd known the plans with the towing because I had options that would have been much better for me and my schedule.

There was no one at the counter when we arrived and were told that they are hardly ever there. We did not know what to do there was no sign or instructions on the counter or in our email. The security guard said “try the hertz counter. “ we did and got a car after much concern It was the same on the way home and I hav e still not received my email receipt.

Pick up was a nightmare. No cars available and many people waiting over an hour of their scheduled pick up time. I will never rent from this company again. Drop off was easy.

The drop off went fine. When I told the agent that we turned the car into about our horrible experience picking up the car, he deducted $10 off of the remaining fees.The pick up was the worst we have ever experienced. From the time that we arrived at the Thrifty counter until we were given the car, it was almost an hour. While we did receive a free upgrade, the wait was totally unacceptable. They gave us a coupon for 15% off of our NEXT Thrifty rental which probably should have just applied to the current rental.

Kayak is terrible and the price is misleading. I owed additional fees at the airport. I could have rented for cheaper without using kayak. Instead i got stuck with the „managers choice“ which ended up being a car that was scratched to hell. It was easily the worst car I’ve ever rented and I always pick the cheapest option so it’s not like the competition is tough. Never again

My husband picked up the car in Cleveland and we dropped it off in New York. We had to drive with the windows down the whole time because it smelled so bad inside from smoke. I have no idea what someone did in there because it wasn't a mild old smell. It was so bad that our clothing smelled like we had been smoking when we got out of the car. It was the worst part of the trip.

Not a thing, they changed my reservation and put up a hell of a fight to refund.They could have not changed my reservation and then refuse to give me a refund. They are a bait and switch sham of an operation. Directly to saved money, got a better car and no hassle with extended hours. Dollar and kayak can pound sand!

Staff was friendly.Windows were dirty. Shopped online for a good deal and pre-paid on Expedia, but then I had to pay another 160+ for fees that were not mentioned on Expedia. Feel like I got ripped off. When shopping for a good value, it's unfair to be hit with extra unexpected fees.

I waited an hour for the car. It was the wrong car even though I paid extra for it. I had to switch to a different car due to the cigarette smell and low pressure in the tire. There were extra fees that I did not know about.

The vehicle was clean which was important to me.When I arrived to dollar rental, they counter was closed. My flight had been delayed due to deicing It took over an hour for the Hertz staff to "reduce" my paperwork dude to my rental being prepaid

The staff at both pick up and drop off were very helpful.The price was more money than priceline had quoted. On priceline I clicked the option to add my spouse for no charge however when I went to pick up the rental I would have been charged $13 a day on top of the additional expenses. The staff at pick-up was one person, she did a great job but there was quite a backlog. More support for her would have helped the process go quicker.

The information on their website on how to get to their lot was wrong and outdated. When I called the local number I got a National recording. When I finally figured I had to take a bus I got to their office and there was a line with 20 people and only one agent. I missed my appointment for that day because it took over an hour to get a reserved rental car. No other car company had more then 2 people in line

One hour wait to get the truck with little apparent effort to expedite. On retiring the car I drove around twice as the drop off point was blocked. Finally I saw on the windshield of one of the cars blocking the return that I was too go to the Avis drop-off which was another lap around the facility. Otherise the vehicle itself was great.

Staff was friendly but not enough people were working, so the line to pick up was very long. The car had several dashboard lights come on. We were able to trade but had to go out of our way to top off the tank on the faulty car first. Drop off was quick and easy.

It was a good experience. Cars are expensive right now so we should expect good service. When cars are more expensive than your airline tickets then I expect clean and a quick experience going by the rental counter. Truth is I've had more poor experiences than good but this time I must thank them, cause they did a nice job.

I was planning my bachelorette weekend. We planned for a 12 passenger van because of how many girls where going and we could all drive down together . I reserved the van 5 months in advance. I called 3 times prior to the trip (included two days before) to check to make sure the van was going to be ready to be picked up. Both kayak and cleveland Hopkins verified it would be there. We had a tight strict schedule to follow so we could be on the road by8:00am. I scheduled the pick up time early so it gave us an hour to get the van and pack, and be on time. When i get to the airport rental in Cleveland i had my confirmation code and everything i needed to pick up the van. The lady at the front desk seemed panic when i showed up. She radio back because she did not have a 12 passenger van for me to rent. After 10 min she confirmed it was there but needed to be cleaned. She said it would take about 15 min and it would be ready. My friend and i sat down and waited. About an hour went by. We went back up and asked the front desk worker (who seemed really annoyed by us) if the van was ready. She said yes it just needed air and it would be out soon. My friend and i went back to our waiting place. The front desk worker (who didn’t know we where sitting there ) yelled out to the back workers where the van was and they said it’s still being cleaned. The front desk worker noticed we where sitting there. About another hour goes by and we finally get the van. It was still a bit dirty but at that point i was just happy then van was even there and ready for us to leave since we now where 2 hours late from our scheduled pick up and time we should have been on the road.I wish i would have no been lied to. I understand how crazy work places are and how busy travel is since covid rules have been pretty much lifted. I just wish if it would have taken two hours to clean the van and get it ready i would not have been told 15 min. I could have went back home to get other thing get ready for my trip. Maybe better communication when calling to confirm bookings to make sure the cars are there. When i was told it was going to be there and ready multiple times on the phone.

We picked up the vehicle at around 11PM - luckily I noticed a huge dent in the passenger door and it was noted on the paperwork (they never mentioned it before we saw the car). It was dark when we picked up the car. The next morning we got into the car and it was clear it had not been cleaned - rugs were filthy, crumbs and such all over the seats - dirty on the outside. In short, a mess! The price was three times what I paid last year around the same time. I guess they figured "screw them" given the shortage of rental cars. Will likely never use Avis again unless forced to (as was the case this time due to hours of operation at the Cleveland airport location).

They gave me a Chevy Traverse. It was in good condition and clean.Picking up the car took way to long! It took the guy at least 20 minutes to do the paperwork. He kept calling someone on a radio to see what was available. Then he told me that they were just finishing cleaning it and it would be brought up to the door. I kept going outside and checking. There were a number of cars setting in the lot that would have been fine for me to use. After about 25 minutes, I went back to the desk to find out where the car was. He called someone the radio and told them to bring the car up to the door. After about 15 more minutes, they finally brought the car over.

Long line to check out the car. No cars ready I the parking lot. Long line at the rental exit. It took longer to get my rental car then it took to fly from St Louis to Cleveland. I rented from Avis ( only because Hertz had no availability) expecting good service. It was horrible.See above. Everything could have been better.

Counter help was good, car preparation fair to poor.Low cost on one way rental. Friendly counter people.Car not clean. Smoke permeated the interior. Window smeared. Gas 7/8 full and I did not notice until after leaving. Left quarter panel dented and scraped. Long shuttle ride to car center.

Slow and dirtyIt took 35 minutes from the time I got in line to pick up my car (with only two people in front of me) to the time I was able to drive away. 25 minutes of that time was spent after I had paid waiting for the car to be ready. There were dozens of cars in my category available, but for some reason, they decided to only let me take a car that still had to be washed, so I stood outside in the cold waiting for far too long. When the car arrived, there were stains on the driver's seat and a bad smell inside. I was already late for my meeting, so I had to take the car. Won't be using Avis again.

Super Fast CheckoutI pulled into the return area, and was completely checked out in about a minute. The rental agent briefly walked around the car, checked the gas guage, and I was done. FAST!!The car rental return is difficult to find at the airport. It's off-site, and I didn't see any signs for it as I approached the airport. You have to go through the "Departures" area, and then follow signs to an off-site lot that's about another 5-10 minute drive. Be sure you consider this extra time before your departure!

I was told drop off was late, but still during business hours. The lights were on at the CLE airport drop off area, and the inside desk was staffed, but no one came out to close out my rental. There was no sign posted advising that this was after hours. After waiting around I finally just dropped the keys in the nightbox. Intuitive, but some posted guidance would have been appreciated.
