Plainfield Car Hire

Cons: My wife, my six month old twins and I had our car break down on Christmas morning. We contemplated flying home but had too much stuff to haul home, so we cancelled our flight and reserved a full size rental. We arrived at the scheduled time...4pm (1 hour before these places close) and they only had compact vehicles. I used Kayak to reserve two more vehicles at Hertz locations that were fairly close. In both cases I was able to reserve a full size, but when I immediately called them to make darn sure...they didn't have the vehicle I reserved either. We scrambled and ended up paying quite a bit more than we would've had we flown with the extra luggage. Definitely a painful experience.

Cons: Clean car and environment

Cons: There was bird poop all over and when I asked for a credit to get it cleaned I was told it was just cleaned but the birds got to it. Cleaned the car myself

Cons: Long wait to pick up car. Processing took almost 45 minutes since there was two customers ahead of us. Also, was inconvenient to have to use debt card and have additional money on hold. I wanted to use credit card but it wasn't in my husband's name who would be driving the car.

Cons: Car was a smoker , couldn’t return it since they were closed already , car was not built for long drive. Weekend hours that they don’t have .rep on the phone act like he was doing you a favor ,and in a rush to get off the. Phone . charged my card for deposit and addl charge when I dropped off , had wait 3 days for the credit back on the card

Cons: Nothing.
