The employee who served us had not been adequately trained. He seemed to struggle with basic processes and displayed very limited interpersonal skills. When I came back later with my sister to add her as a driver, he said he didn’t know how to do that and we’d have to wait for the manager to come back (fortunately just a couple of minutes). Additionally, the Hertz counter in Des Moines closes at 5:30 p.m., inconvenient for the many passengers arriving on later flights.

There was no one at the Hertz counter when I arrived off my flight. The counter closed at 5 pm and said they would be back the following day at 9:00 a.m. This is unheard of and should have been communicated when I booked the reservation. I never would have booked a no refund reservation since I was not staying in DesMoines.

Pick up and drop off were painless - surprising, since I didn't return the car to the same place I picked it up. Hertz agents were helpful and professional every step of the way!

This was a really pleasant experience. Probably the easiest in and out of ever had at a rental place. And I loved the car I had. Pretty much all around top notch.

Easy pickup but no walk around to look for issues with the car before taking it off thr lot. part of the handle on the driver side was damaged and there's nowhere to notice before leaving lot to show that I did not do the damage. I took a picture to document in the lot to make sure I had proof.

The vehicle we had reserved had been "given away". We were given an upgrade; however it was not very comfortable. We had reserved a vehicle we knew we would be comfortable in for the long drive. Vehicle was dirty inside - used our own wipes to sanitize. Windshield wipers did not work properly. Was stressful on day 2 of the drive in the rain.

The staff was incredibly helpful and friendly, at the airport.The person I spoke to on the phone, after my initial flight was canceled, could not have been less helpful, or more condescending.

Staff was easy to work with and drop off at airport was a breeze.It was not the car we expected. Was supposed to have Chevy Equinox and was given a Jeep Compass. The comfort level was okay, but several features in the car did not function as they should have. It was just an okay experience.
