Can’t reach customer service by phone
Pros: Friendly at checkout with a nice car and easy access for rental and return.
Cons: Tried for an hour to reach customer service and finally gave up after the runaround.

Car reeked of cigarette smoke.
Pros: The folks at the counter were most helpful. We had to walk a ways to find the car. It was 11 pm, we had flown across the country. We were exhausted, hungry and we still had to find our way to the hotel.
Cons: Had we not been so tired and hungry and if it hadn’t been so late, we would have walked back to the rental car area and exchanged our car. The car reeked of cigarette smoke the entire 3 days we had it, even though we drove with the windows open when possible and ran the fan. It was awful. And the car had many scratches and dings, which we photographed before leaving the garage. It was a very bad experience.

Trying to charge me more than reserved price
Cons: They are trying to charge me an extra $20 for gas. I showed them the receipt for gas and they still billed me for gas. Very frustrating

Never again
Cons: Horrible customer service. Wouldn’t replace windshield wipers on defective blades and we had to drive through lake effect snow the entire time. Tried to turn it in, spent hours with customer service, all lies and no follow through. Never rent with Budget.

No Equipment at Car Dropoff
Pros: There was no equipment to check us out and print a receipt in Syracuse. Nice employees, but they couldn't do their job.

Cons: It wasn't clear where to go to get the car. There was no explanation of the cars features, and no examination to make sure it was free of dents, etc. I would have liked a little more hands-on support.
