They would not rent me a car without a “credit card” even though my Visa debit card worked just fine for Kayak to make my reservation and charge me $88 for the insurance I ordered for the car. And I requested a refund, but of course that’s a different company, so I have to take it up with them. I emailed the insurance company with no response!2,0 Poor

I attempted to book online 2 times (on the Enterprise Site), I got all the way to payment and whack, disconnected. I follow-up with a call, disconnected! I guess you no longer need/want my business.10,0 Wonderful

it was a fast check in and check outCons:
the car was dirty and it looked like they did not put any effort to clean the outside we were additional charges I had to pay for my husband to drive the car even though we are married and on the same policy4,0 Mediocre

Pros:
The staff in Columbia were friendly at purchase. However, the car I rented began to have issues about an hour into the drive. I called the initial rental office and they basically said "find another Hertz and exchange it". That is quite difficult today while driving down the interstate in a place you do not know. I had to call back and ask them to please at least look up a place for me to go. They told me the airport. This added an hour to my drive in a car that was having trouble speeding up when I pushed the gas. The airport people were very unfriendly and I was not at all happy with the entire experience. THEN they charged me an "exchange fee and gas cost!!!!"Cons:
Employees were only doing the minimum for their jobs. There is no extra help if you have an issue with the car.2,0 Poor

I reserved an SUV with a third row, but when I went to the Hertz dealership they didn’t have a vehicle for me. They didn’t have one anywhere in the region. We needed the SUV for my family vacation and this issue caused a major problem for us.6,0 Okay

It got us to point A to point BCons:
The maintenance and cleaning of the vehicle. Also do was we didn’t have to pay anything for pick up and had to drop a 200 dollar deposit fee at arrive. The vehicle wasn’t even ready for us to pick up. Overall the staff were still nice.7,6 Good

Car could have been a little cleaner. I had to stop and clean the inside of the windshield because it was difficult to see through. smeared.
