Make sure to obtain a Copy from the Insurance provider as to the Coverage of the Rental Car. Because, on site when picking up the Car they will force Customers to purchase their own Insurance policy which is absolutely and ridiculously over priced.

In the Mississauga/Toronto area, the roads are generally very well maintained. It is a very urban area with several million people. In some of the city park areas, parking may be difficult to find as a nearby or neighborhoods are restricted. The drivers in this area are generally pretty good. Taking to the highways outside of the metropolitan area might show that large commercial trucks are allowed to drive down the left (fast) lane (or at least, if they are not allowed, they do that anyway).

It’s convenient to pick up and drop off at the airport, saves a lot on taxis. It might be a little difficult if one is coming through Terminal 3 though as client needs to take the train between terminals.

If you are not used to driving in Toronto or the big city, it is very stressful and you have to be extremely attentive of all other drivers around you. Fortunately I HAVE lived near this area and understand the type of driving people do around here. But it is hectic. I’m glad that I was driving around non-cities for the majority of my trip.

Be prepared to provide insurance proof, delay in pickup time May happen because of busy days and hours, if you are getting down at airport pickup and drop is provided by most car rental agencies as their offices are outside the airport. For Toronto person passengers both T1 and T3 , take the sky train to viscount and car rental agencies wil provide a ride.

You need a GPS, the jumbled overpass superhighway will confuse you and spit you out miles away from where you want to go if you mess up. Drivers are aggressive so buy your insurance in advance at your home town insurance company beforehand, they offer better coverage for using vehicles that arent yours than the purchased insurance packages from rental companies, also cheaper too!!

I had no issues with driving in Mississauga. I would only say, be prepared for increased volume of vehicles and be patient and make sure you are in your needed lane early for departure from main road/street.

Lots of hidden fees, in Kayak, a three day rental shows about 150. The final invoice ended up 400. There’s additional premium location fee, and bunch of other fees. Insurance costs about 40 a day, and the front desk added a fuel option saying I can cancel it later which I dont understand.

It took 90 mins for the reserved / confirmed car to be available for pickup. I understand airport rentals can be busy, but they are also sensitive locations: my wife and my 8-month-old daughter who have flown with me the whole day, had to go home by public transportation in the middle of a cold snap. They left when I checked in at the counter and arrived more than an hour before me with the luggage. Ridiculous!

The guy assured me it would be refunded upon return of the car, though it’s been a few days now and nothing has been refunded to my credit card. I was told I would get 25km free when I rented this vehicle and it’s been a struggle to get that. Routes charged for for the full km without giving me the 25 free and now trying to get that back has been very annoying. Would not recommend going here go elsewhere and save you a headache.

I arrived on-time with my reservation number (I reserved a van 1 week before) and was told that there must have been a glitch online because they did not have my reservation in their system. They said they didn't have a 7 seater available and there was nothing they could do to help me. I was furious because I needed to drive 6 children to a youth event that evening! I ended up finding another rental at another company for triple the price of the ACE rental. Do not rent from them! Your rental confirmation number does not ensure you get the car you booked!

A whole busload of ppl arrived on their shuttle together late in the evening from flights across Canada. Many flights were from 1 to 3 hours late. I watched them tell one after another that they have no reservation, it was cancelled because they arrived late. Some were so upset they were in tears. My reservation was good still being only 1 hour late. They are not at the airport so the travellers denied cars are now stranded outside the airport. Poor customer service. Many customers called the reservation line to inform them about their flight delays. There was no communication to the people working that night. No sympathy, and no attempt to help them. Just a sorry....next.

I was required to take $12 day insurance on top of my credit card insurance because I was unable to provide proof I had personal umbrella insurance. I have never encountered this and believe it was super shady and I felt bullied by staff there. It was after hours and providing proof was impossible, they knew they could squeeze their customers and they did. I was super annoyed, along with other people in line at pick up but my booking was prepaid so what was I supposed to do. They wouldn’t even let me provide proof the next morning. Will never rent with them again, their fees are hidden and shady AF.

Not all fees were included in the price. There was a premium location fee and an extra fee for a different location. When we picked up the employee was very kind and helped us as best as she could. There was also no clear break down of our receipt and what we paid for. Overall, the experience was okay. We are just disappointed with the surprise of an extra $100 added to the bill that we were not expecting.

Not happy with staff in Windsor claiming there was a mark on the return rental. When it was picked up in Mississauga the receipt showed no marks, I drove the car for 3 and half hours to Windsor and never left the car. So how can they claim there was a mark on the car!

I had an issue with the class of vehicle I was given. I returned it and they gave me the proper one and returned the difference in the money I had paid. The counter people were awesome. The people In the parking lot accepting returns and inspecting on the way out needed some finesse in their customer service.

The place where I pick up the van was like a zoo, the guy that took me to the car didn’t want to check the van for damage and I ask him to and he says every was ok at the exit they will do it. I left to the next guy and told him they are some indentation on the van and he says that everything was fine and I was never provide with a inspection slip. The van was filthy and with garbage from the previous person. Was never wash or clean after the last use. Had no choice but to take the van as I need it to travel for 3 hours . Price was insane for the value and the kind of van.

The pick up process took a very long time, and there was a lot of paperwork involved. I think it could be quicker, and most of the paper can be sent via email. Other than that I had a very positive and overall excellent experience renting a Tesla from the Hertz Novotel Hurontario location.

The representative at the counter and all NextCar representatives contacted via many phone calls were extremely discourteous, unprofessional and did not assist with providing a solution to my issue. Firstly, there was no phone number for NextCar at the airport to get shuttle. I eventually, after 3 or 4 calls, went outside and hoped I could get a number from one of the other companies drivers. Luckily, a NextCar shuttle showed up by chance. I was very frustrated. Then, at the rental desk I had issues with insurance for the car. That will be the last time I rent through NextCar or Rconomy.

Try and force you to buy extra stuff and lie about required extra insurance saying it’s a legal requirement when it’s not and I proved I had extra insurance from my personal vehicle insurance AND the credit card I used. They said it doesn’t can’t and I had to buy theirs. Liars and thieves.

They overbooked their cars which lead to them saying there was no car available for us. If I didnt put up a fuss they would not have figured something out. They called a different rental company a few minutes drive away, however it ended up limiting our daily usage from unlimited to only 200km/day. There was also no shuttle on the return date and this other place was a 2 hour walk or 45 minute transit away from the airport

I was not able to speak with an agent during business hours to change my pickup time due to a delayed flight. Because I wasn’t able to have the car held, I had to pay walk up prices elsewhere and have absorbed that cost, being much more than budgeted for my travels. Advantage uses another agency at the airport. They are difficult to get to, the shuttle doesn’t run very often and they are hidden down a hallway in a hotel. The office at this place called York is only open 9-6 and there are no after hours pick ups or drop offs but that was NOT made obvious during the rental booking process. Because the shuttle took so long for pick up I arrived at the office at 6:10. No one was there. I tried calling the number - voicemail full. I was given the advantage number to call for issues which I did. The person at Advantage said they can’t help me with that particular location and gave me the number I called originally - voicemail full still. Called the next morning when they were supposedly open- no answer - goes to voicemail, voicemail still full even though the office has been open for an hour. I decided to cancel my reservation. Again Advantage said they couldn’t do it I would have to speak to local office, can’t get through to local office. Sent York an email - they replied they cant cancel it, I would have to speak to Expedia. Expedia said they can’t cancel it, I’d have to speak to York. Ended up having to book another car with a different agency. I WOULD NEVER RENT FROM THESE PEOPLE or recommend them.

Terrible. Took about 1.5 hours to get my car. Office was crowded, multiple customers ahead of us had problems with their reservation (mainly about insurance). They could not find our reservation as apparently, it had not been forwarded to them by Kayak. Took a long time to process. This was the first ... and last time that I will use Kayak to rent a car (other than the next reservation I have with Kayak in Portugal which I do not expect to be any better).

This is a fraud a scam company, I rented the car for 470$ for a month I have local insurance and oscpe 27 that covers rental he said he needs an insurance transfer fee of 300$. This is illegal, very bad company. I went to another company I paid same amount they checked my insurance and do not let me pay anything extra.
