Pros:

One needs to be very careful in checking puck up and drip off locations. My pick up was NOT at the airport . The airport location told me there would be a sleight upcharge to redo the reservation and start a new one. The price was DOUBLE and there is no refund on the Priceline reservation!

Cons:

The airport should have helped there customer and traveler and explained to me where the other location was. They should have advised me to take a 30$ Cab ride and saved myself over 500$. I had to jump through hoops to get it right. In all fairness, the Representative at the OTHER location was awesome! He was helpful, honest and empathetic to my situation.

When we arrived at the Austin airport, the Enterprise manager called to say not to bother to come to the Enterprise office because there were no cars of any kind anywhere in Austin, even though we had made our reservation weeks ago and received a confirmation the day before our arrival. It was the Formula 1 Grand Prix and no cars we’re a available, regardless of our reservation and confirmation.

Was unable to rent a car for the days I needed (due to travel cancellations so not Avis fault). However, paying $50 for a reservation I cancelled minutes after making it was unfortunate. Please look into updating your website’s user interface on mobile, it was not very user-friendly.

Avis didn’t have the sedan available that I reserved so I ended up with a small SUV which certainly wasn’t ideal for my trip with my 85 year old mom.

I reserved rental car for the Austin airport thinking a shuttle bus will carry us to the rental place. By the time we called the place it was closed at 6 pm. Our reservation didn’t show time for closing. I was then told by Avis rep at the airport that you can pick up the car within 24 hr. We decided to pick up next day. When I called the rental place, the representative jacked up the price close to $485. We ended up having no car, which was a huge inconvenience in a city unknown to us.

Staff very friendly. But my gas tank wasn’t full and my bill was $900. So now I get to spend prob an hour on the phone tomorrow fixing this.

The car functioned

I showed up late to my reservation so the rate changed, increasing my bill for a one-week rental by $150, which was my fault. But the agent at the desk didn't tell me my rate was increasing, instead obfuscating the increase with a bunch of fees, one of which was a fee for prepaid gas which I explicitly declined. I called support to inquire about the rate increase, which I only noticed later, and it took over an hour to get a straight answer. During that call the service agent said she'd remove the prepaid gas free, since I declined it, and she didn't. So... yeah, the car functioned fine but the customer service was terrible.

Lines were way too long. Two hours. Only one person at the desk. She tried her best. She should get a raise. Cars that we reserved were not there. Then they were not in the assigned space. The guy at the preferred desk was incredibly rude. Told me to get a pickup for my 8 soccer players. Then made me wait another hour for a van. While there was one parked right in front. Never doing this again.
