Pros: At pickup the vehicle was given away and we had to pay for an upgrade. We also had to buy insurance, as we could not show proof that our credit card covered excess insurance laibility. Shuttle buses run every 45 minutes, so there is a long wait

Pros: It was a nice dayCons: LGW to their location is a pain with all your bags You can’t use your own insurance so have to buy their expensive policy Quote said unlimited miles but you only get 100 per day Misleading bait & switch company. Not recommended

insurance scammers plain and simpleCons: absolute scam .. sell you a cheap hire package then bully you into paying to reduce the excess ....95 pound charged to your card for fuel that you may get back if you are very lucky . returned my car with a small scratch and was informed well that's your 500 gone .. without even looking at the car .. add to that the 75 pound admin charge and there all round indifference and ignorance to how to treat ppl with dignity made it a horrible experience ... stay well clear from easirent scam artists whose business model is rent cheap because once we've got their card details we can rob them blind .. Steer well clear

Ridiculously far from the airport ... not only distance but timeCons: The lack of information about what shuttle to get from the airport. The schedule of the shuttle from the airport once I finally found out which bus it was... it was once every HOUR. Once on the bus, seeing that you had to pay 3 GBP EACH to travel. Not taking card on the bus... because we were not informed we had to pay. Then arriving at the rental place faced with a queue of 10 people... took me 4 hours from landing to getting the car and home (7 miles away) Then being told my booking did NOT have CDW and therefore it was an extra 70 GBP. NOT IMPRESSED.

Pros: Nothing. Do not do business with this companyCons: Long wait for shuttle and long distance to drive. Additional fees and charges plus insurance requirements applied and incorrectly stated as legal requirements for cow in UK. Then required increased rental cost as they did not have booked car available. Decided to use another company at airport as it became cheaper and much more pleasant/customer oriented. Do not honor bookings as made or requirements on their own website.

Easirent - Never Again!!Pros: Absolutely nothing.Cons: Forced me to get insurance even though I had it through my credit card. Charged me a one-way fee even though my reservation said there would not be one. Did not provide me with a contract.

Horrible ServicePros: The rates are low but then you are forced to buy extra insuranceCons: took 2 hr 45 min to get the car. Staff unfriendly. No waiting area. Never renting from here again. Shuttle service of pick up and drop off is bad also.

Hidden costsPros: The rental car was super. Nice people at the counter. My only complaint is the hidden costs. I booked in the US, and when I got to the counter in the UK they told me of the extra, mandatory insurance costs and the hold that would be placed on my card, etc. These details should have been made clear (and handled) up front in the booking process. They told me if I had booked directly with them it would have been clear, but using Kayak the process, once I was in the UK, was more convoluted. Please make it easier in the future, and totally transparent.

Cons: They scam people. Wish I was smart enough and rented from somebody else! First, they charged me for additional third-party insurance. Their T&C says they provide one already but in realty they demand you to pay more money or else they won't rent the vehicle to you. They didn't like any letters I showed them and wanted quite specific letter addressed to them. They charge ridiculous $80 "management fee" for a ticket. And they charged me $120 for cleaning a vehicles though the guy greenlight the return and let me catch the bus. They told my bank that the reason because I didn't sign the slip was because "return done outside of working hours" (really, 7am is outside of your working hours? You open at 5am!) Jerks.

Pros: Friendly staff.Cons: Hard to find location. Seemingly inconsistent shuttles to/from airport, we had to take Uber both ways totaling about $30 Check in took much too long, but agent was friendly, accommodating and easy to talk to.

Amazing drop-off experience - wish all rental compPros: Dropped off the car in front of the hotel as rental bays were about 70m walk from hotel entrance and we had A LOT of luggage. The Thrifty Associate came out to check the car while we unloaded the luggage, so we could catch the next bus to the airport terminal. He then parked the car for us in the rental bays. Everything done in 5 minutes - couldn't have asked for a better drop-off experience.Cons: Nothing negative - everything was perfect

Pickup issuesPros: The staff was polite and helpful.Cons: We waited for the Hertz shuttle at the airport for over 25 minutes before finally just taking a cab. We try to call them and got no answer. We also tried to use their FaceTime at the kiosk inside the airport, but we're unable to reach them.

Pros: Car was clean and perfect. Girl at desk was wonderful! Very switched on and new how to handle my personal situation.Cons: Only one drop off attendant to a very busy London airport. On the web site they should not offer insurance if it doesn't apply to that country. So I paid for insurance twice.

Cons: Shuttle driver treated bags badly and they were badly scratched just from airport to offsite location. Location is hard to find to return cars. Cheap up front rate uktimstely four times higher when essential navigation and insurance are added.

Refused care hireCons: The terms and conditions state that the driver must hold a full licence for longer than 2 years. This is the case for me but I was refused hire due to the issue date on my UK licence being less than 2 years (since it was a replacement of my full Australian licence). It would have been a simple call to DVLA to confirm this was the case, but the staff member said there was nothing they could do and I was not allowed to hire a car.
