Car was bland, but reliable. Beef was that I intentionally asked the staff if there were additional fees charged by Hertz for processing toll charges and they said no. So I passed on the EZPass only to find out that Hertz charged me separately twice to bill me for my expected toll charges. Varying convenience fee amounts too. Beware, these may cost more than the rental itself.

There were no cars available even though Kayak said there were cars available. Even at nearby locations, no cars were available. Then, trying to cancel via phone was difficult and once I finally got a representative the next day, I was told it was too late to cancel even though the reservation was still a week away. This has been a terrible experience and me or my commpany will likely not use Hertz again.

Evidently the car was not cleaned because I found an umbrella, some toys and a bunch of condoms in the rental car. Otherwise it was OK but you may want to make sure that doesn't happen again.

Credit card chip machine didn’t work! Couldn’t use debut card. Thankfully our son was there and we used his card
