The scam of not accepting the insurance we paid for through Kayak. They refused the insurance and made us pay for their insurance which costed twice the amount of the insurance we paid through Kayak. They then tried to mark down on the contract, before we left, that the gas tank was full and that i needed to return it with a full tank when it was barely above 1/4 tank. We asked about it and they tried to tell us its ok. “Just bring it back how it is.” But we just went inside to talk to someone else to revise the contract and have it in writing before we left and THAT in itself was a hassle. After finally leaving their facility, we then drove 10 miles. The tire pressure sensor light came on. We thought we had a flat, pulled over at a gas station to check and added air to find out that the passenger front wheels sensor was broken and that the car wasn’t sensing it. So we had to periodically check to make sure it wasn't going flat on us. When driving about 60mph, the car would shake excessively. The brakes were really noisy and felt unsafe. I will never use that car rental again. I will stick to more well known companies. And as far as Kayak, the misleading of offering insurance through your system and then finding out at their counter that they don't accept it. Very poor business on your part as well. If we knew the insurance wasn’t going to be acceptable at the price we paid through Kayak, we would've never booked that car rental. So no longer trusting Kayaks when it comes to booking anything moving forward. Live and learn, don’t use Kayak and don’t rent from next car in Puerto Rico.

This was the worst experience renting a vehicle. My flight was delayed and I called about changing my pick up time and was told I couldn't make any changes. Needless to say I ended up paying for a taxi from the Airport which was 60 dollars less.

Scammers. They charge for the the airport transfer. They charge for their facility also for facility electricity.

The rental was more expensive than quoted originally. I tried to extend it for 2 additional day and the price doubled for the 2 extra days.

Bottom line up front: My wife and I did not enjoy our experience, and we will not return to NextCar again. The price quoted for the rental was not accurate. The taxes/fees were an additional fifty dollars beyond those that were listed with the reservation. The associate who ‘helped’ us check out the car was less than pleasant. When I showed her that the price she was charging did not match the price we reserved, she just shrugged her shoulders. The vehicle itself was lacking. There was less than one eighth of a tank of fuel when we picked up the car, and several safety features (brake light and wipers) had worn out and needed replacement. Additionally, the vehicle (an automatic not a manual transmission) stalled repeatedly in parking lots and at red lights. I doubt I’ll rent from NextCar again. You get what you pay for. The discount isn’t worth it.

The shuttle drivers are nice and accommodating. All the rest of the staffs are terrible, arrogant, no customer service skills and yelling to customers. I was asking for my receipt and refused to give it and promised to email it and one day after haven’t received it yet. The lady staffer who issued the car were insisting to copy( xerox) my credit card and showing me other credit cards that she copied. Very unprofessional. Probably need customer oriented employees. Will not recommend to other people this establishment.

The car was clean and it was located in a convenient location from the airport, also the bus shuttle from the airport was excellent. One thing I didn't like was that at night they only had one worker checking in several clients I do understand that due to covid some places are short staff but that was my only concern.

I didn't like anything about this rental experience. This is the last time I will rent from this place in Puerto Rico. They will take advantage of people and overcharge them with hidden fees when you arrive to pick up your car. They don't honor the price given by KAYAK and service is poor from customer service to the wait time to pick up vehicle. It took about 45-50 minutes to get our vehicle from our check-in.
