Setting and view
Everything it’s beautiful
I love it
I’ve always liked the hotel, from the white tall building structure, the beautiful view if I got a room that was pool and sea facing, restaurants, shopping facilities near by
This was a poor customer experience overall Except for Joy at reception, when I got there the room I got wasn’t with the view I wanted I called reception and Joy, she was good she asked me to come down and she would check if there was anything I wanted available, she upgraded my room which gave me perfect view and the room was clean, comfortable - felt like an apartment nice space etc She adhered to my request made when I made the booking that it was my colleagues birthday and made a nice happy birthday plate, The Saturday morning we ordered breakfast simple toasted cheese, which was exactly that simple no effort in presentation or sides but it costed R181 for 2 toasted cheese sandwiches which is completely ridiculous, it was basic my 6 year old son could have made it, no trimmings nothing, My colleague invited a business partner that was in Cape Town for a quick trip over for lunch he asked for a bottle of wine, he was told okay then he called back to confirm and was told that they cannot sell wine due to lockdown, but then the first person should have said No at this point he was already annoyed and said replace it with desserts and the one should have thank you written on it, it arrived with no thank you on it he called down & the guest was already with us and they asked to send it back for the chef to do what he/she was supposed to or it will be R80 to replace it, he said just leave it, I got my driver to come in order to drop off a gift, my driver called and said they don’t want to let him in, at the front boom gate, I rushed down while our guest was upstairs came to the lobby and this short fat pink lady (did not look professional at all) asks me something about visitor (unprofessional tone, I didn’t even know who she was) and I looked over and just said I’m going out to car, my driver didn’t ask for access he asked to drop something off but I had to run outside jump in the car because I didn’t want him to block the entrance and then ran back up - at...
