The food cooked by the owner (trained as a chef) was outstanding! Breakfast had three courses, all gourmet. Owner also was very helpful in suggesting sights to see and providing marked maps to follow. The bed was very comfortable. Slept so well. Liked the cozy little reading room upstairs. Chairs super comfy. Lots of interesting local reading material.
Just would have liked the housekeeper to clean the French press and cups so they’d be fresh the next day, however, this is minor compared to all the pluses.
The breakfast was especially awesome. I mentioned it to the owner later, and he said he made it extra big due to my size (I'm 6'10"). Quite the personal service!
We actually arrived to a small disaster after coming back from town. A pipe had burst and our room was flooded including one of our suitcases, everything was wet. The way this was handled by the owner was great. We were put in the hotel next door, they spend the night cleaning our clothes and made a really great vegan breakfast the day after. They really care about you and want to make sure everyone has the best experience, even in a disaster!
Quaint , comfortable, quiet and a convenient location to explore Banff National Park without the crowds. The staff was always friendly and helpful and the breakfasts were healthy and delicious! The views of the mountains from the balcony were spectacular. There is also access to hiking trails across the street.
Great view from the balcony. Bed was comfy. Staff was very friendly and helpful
The room was a bit run-down: no screen on the balcony door, sliding glass door didn’t open properly. Shower was tiny.
