Cons: Rooms are very small. Evening entertainment is a fit for 60+. Breakfast is average - there is a wide choice of meals, but food quality is worse vs. other hotels in the area.

Pros: The staff was nice, and the hotel is located in a great location. The common areas of the hotel were well kept and appealing. There were daily activities and entertainment.

Cons: We were placed in rooms situated right off a common area and the marble decor did not help the noise we heard in our rooms late in the evening from other guests and nightly entertainment and early in the mornings from the dining area that was next door! Air conditioning did not work in one of the two rooms...and there was a yellow substance on the toilet seat and feces in the toilet despite a seal on the toilet that said "Disinfected"! We requested to move rooms after the first night and the staff was friendly and found us other rooms that were much quieter. One of the second two rooms had a reoccurring, intermittant sewage odor. The housekeeping staff were sent to spray something in the shower drain and a drain vent in the bathroom floor that helped. ALERT TO ALL NON-SMOKERS...do not even try to enjoy the pool or patio breakfast area unless you want to passively smoke dozens of cigarettes from everyone around you!!! The cigarette smoke was a huge negative and there are no separate areas for smokers and non-smokers at any of the outdoor areas so you are basically stuck inside unless you enjoy second-hand smoke.

Pros: We have stayed here before so knew what to expect. Staff excellent, location spot on for beach and visiting town. Food choice all good. Would come back again.

Pros: The staff at the reception desk were fenomenal! They helped with all our questions - switching rooms, market visits, Easter celebrations etc. The staff at breakfast/dinner were so nice, polite and fast workers! Great location and beautiful views!

Cons: We stayed in two suites 5F and 6G and two regular rooms 44 and 71. In the suits the cleaning were not satisfactory. I tried to point out many things to our cleaning lady and she fixed it while I was in the room but not the other days. It's like she didn't know what to do on her own. It was the same problem in the other suite. In the main building the rooms, 44 and 71 were cleaned well.

Pros: The hotel is very clean, the breakfast was good and the staff was friendly.

Cons: It was a separate price for the savebox and the hotel was a bit old.

Cons: Entertainment wasn’t very good off an evening, the food wasn’t very good for the children not sure I would take children there again, we even had a woman complain about the noise off the kids in the pool, the staff handled it very well. And told us not to worry about how much noise they made. But it did make us feel very uncomfortable. But we were very happy with how it was handle by the staff.

Pros: The location, the friendly staff, the food was fine with a good choice. The room had a great view (622) and the bed was comfortable.

Cons: The Spa area was very poor, small sauna with no area to relax, indoor pool where the room temperature was +30 C, very small fitness area. The evening entertainment catered for the hotel guests.... old age pensioners from Germany (2x Bingo during the week).

Pros: We are staying in this hotel not first time. Food is very good, beach is in 2-5 min walking distance (hotel is in first line), employee of the hotel will support to you with any questions which you may have, transfer, car rental etc. Will be comfortable to stay with friends, with families, hotel is good for all.

Pros: Wonderful facilities, we loved the separate restaurant for families and adults only. Also the roof terrace was gorgeous and tranquil. The pool was big and the breakfast was fantastic!!

Pros: Family suite worked perfect for us as a family of four. The pools are great, though a little cold. The adults only roof terrace with hot tubs has amazing views and is a real luxury. We come to Cala Bona most years and this is our first stay at the Marins Playa, we will certainly return!

Pros: The parking was a surprise we had not expected; the hotel was a short walk from the beach; the studio apartment was functional and ours had a good sized balcony.

Cons: While the breakfast was reasonable (if you stuck to the basics) the evening meal at the restaurant was awful! The salad bar was dry as cardboard and somehow all the food has no taste at all or was artificially sweet (and that was the mushroom sauce for the beef brisket). Definitely not 4* or worth €14 per person. The restaurant hygiene was terrible - with staff laying tables coughing straight onto the tables (no covering the mouth) or sneezing on their hands and then handling the parts of the cutlery you would be eating with without washing their hands. The spa seemed a treat worth trying - until you experience the constant sound of rushing water and 3 people walking in on a 1 hour massage as there are no clear sighs of what to do. No wonder you have to pay in cash, in advance ... So in fact there was nothing about this hotel I would rate as 4* ...

Pros: We loved basically everything about this hotel. Food was amazing, lots of great choices. Staff was super friendly. Room was cleaned every day. Great cocktails at a bar. Animation during days and evenings were also great. Most of it was in german but they did translation in english too. We would definitely recommend it to anyone: couples, families or loners.

Cons: First of all, the localisation is terrible there is no nice restaurant in the area, the whole city is like a big hotel resort full of tourists without any authenticity. We've had the all inclusive offer which is just a laugh. The drinks are served from the machine and are called cosmopolitan...sangria as well served from a dispenser like a beer...horrible the food was q disaster as well. I felt really bad after the spaghetti I ate and the glasses were dirty as if they were washing only the ones in the front and the ones in the back were full of dust and smudges. The hotel was almost empty, for sure it should be like this in August maybe this is a reason for that. Not worth the money and it supposed to be a nice anniversary...

Cons: More choice/variety in the restaurant - gluten free and vegetarian options and knowledge of food allergies/intolerances could be improved. Friendliness/approachability of bar and restaurant staff, reception staff were exceptional in comparison.

Pros: Breakfast selection was very good and represents good value for money. If you have not booked an evening meal you are allocated a different table each day for breakfast. Hotel location is excellent and staff were friendly and helpful. Room was clean and comfortable although not as good as the room we were allocated for our last stay.

Pros: Most of the time the food was great. The hotel garden was lovely, especially at noon the trees offer the perfect shade to escape the sun.

Cons: Avoid the tomatoes, on a few occasions they seem to have gone bad. The beach in front of the hotel is bad. A few hundred meters away it is ok.
