Outstanding customer service

We were greeted with warmth and were very well cared for during our recent two night stay at the Fairmont Nile. The concierge service was excellent and facilitated a half day outing to the pyramids and Sphinx. The guide was an Egyptologist and very engaging. He spoke perfect English. The driver was very pleasant. . Concierge Service also helped us arrange train service to Alexandria including getting the tickets in advance. Christina and Ahmed offered superior service, were delightful to work with, and accommodated all our requests. The manager for the Lobby restaurant and bar, Emad was incrdibly gracious and accommodating. The waitstaff were on the ball, friendly, and well trained . The rooms were spacious, comfortable and beautifully appointed. Very well maintained and immaculate. Highly recommend the restaurant for breakfast overlooking the Nile. Overall, an excellent stay. We would be very pleased to return.

My husband and I are not smokers. The lobby and restaurant lin all hotels in Egypt —even the most upscale—include sections for smokers and non-smokers. The problem with this is the smoking section was only about 20 feet away from the non-smoking section and it was impossible not to be affected by the smoke. The manager was very helpful and did request that those who were smoking in a non-smoking area near us move to another section where they were permitted to smoke.

Amazing location and professional service, intelligent staff, SKY POOL overlooking the Nile. Great rooms and provisions.

Sky deck closes at sunset. No free internet in rooms - this should be standard. No breakfast with the room fare.
