Rooms need updating to match the excellent bar and restaurant!
Needs updating to justify price
Staff was friendly, location close to beach and excellent restaurants. Cheap hotel parking. Good for partying.
Old building, rooms are spartan and need upgrading. Some fixtures are on their last legs. TV hasn't been updated in 15 years at least. Not good if you want some quiet time. Not actually on beach, and no beach views.
Great hotel for a great price
Very well kept and decorative lobby Restaurant had delicious food and drinks Very comfortable bed Friendly staff Close to beach and downtown Cabo.
Several small bugs in shower and bathroom counter area. Restaurant was expensive. Pool bar closestool early.
Great stay at Bahia
I stayed at Bahia for 6 nights .I was extremely impressed by the friendliness of the staff. They actually called me by name the entire trip. I was travelling alone and felt very safe.I would highly recommend this resort. Very conveniently located to beach! Thanks again to everyone there for making my stay so nice.
Some people complained about the slow service at breakfast...but I did not find that was the case. I suppose different days are busier than others.
Food and drinks and atmosphere was great and location perfect!
Great location - walking distance from everything in cabo San Lucas. The staff, especially Jack and Andres at the pool bar, were fantastic. Hotel restaurant and lots of delicious and affordable food options.
Beds were a bit uncomfortable and the wifi was very slow. No safe in room either.
Swim up bar!
The hotel is small and perfect in every way! We loved the pool bar manager - JACK! He was amazing and always kept our drinks full:)
The room suck.
The coffee shop was good, pool good, room suck
The room suck
I loved the view we had from our balcony overlooking pool and pool bar and in the distance you could see the mountains. The pool bar was awesome with 2 for 1 margaritas that were delicious. It was so close to the office and Mango Deck that we went every day we were there. 1 block to the beach. 10 Minute walk to the Marina once we found the best way to go was through the mall.
Hotel has some plumbing problems but staff was very attentive every time there was a problem. We had to have them come check our toilet every day but was not a big deal as they would come up with in 5 minutes of us calling front desk. Bed could have been a little softer but was not too bad.
everything for a price
The food was amazing...for a price. The place was gorgeous...and you paid for it... The location was perfect - near the beach and close enough to stores, where you could buy food and cook it in your room (the rooms actually had kitchens)
A lot of the male staff tended to be unfriendly and unsmiling. I think it's their job to be friendlier and more attentive to guests, if nothing more than nodding a hello. But especially around the pool area, the bar tenders were neither fast nor courteous with service.
We go to Cabo almost every year and rent a house in Pedregal for a little over a week. We always stay a bit longer than what we have the house for so we need a place to stay. This year we decided to try Bahia. What an excellent choice! The hotel is a beautiful little spot near Medano beach and places like the Office, but close enough to downtown to go out and enjoy. The restaurant in the hotel is excellent, although it will be one of the more expensive places you eat. The food is well worth it, though. I will gladly stay here again when we come back next February.
Like most places in Cabo, the wifi connection wasn't all that great. I don't mind so much while on vaca, but it is nice to be able to stay in touch with home. The hotel makes up for that by offering free phone calls back to the States, though. The only true complaint we had was that our room had a smell outside of it and just inside the front door like they had used a spray to cover up a foul smell. Not sure what it was, but it was a little alarming. Thankfully it didn't make it's way into the bedrooms.
While there are plenty of hives of activity in buzzing Cabo San Lucas, the Bahia Hotel and Beach Club manage to feel lively without being over the top. A mix of domestic and international younger tourists and groups of friends and couples make up the majority of the clientele.
The hotel isn't located directly on the beach, but its location is one its largest assets. It’s just a block from the lively Medano Beach and near plenty of restaurants, bars, and nightlife. The immediate surrounding area is very walkable to Mango Deck, one of the city's most notorious nightlife destinations. Ten minutes away in an area packed with bars, cheap taco joints, and touristy shops is another famous nightclub, Squid Roe. Nearby, Calle Jose Maria Morelo offers more authentic street food.
The features at the hotel are great for the area. The elegant, open-air terrace known as SUR Beach House is a five-minute walk from the hotel, while plenty of water activities are adjacent to the private beach area. The on-site amenities include a spacious pool and swim-up bar, as well as a swanky restaurant, Bar Esquina, which is a major highlight for guests. There's also a coffee shop on-site that opens early and serves great baked goods and excellent espresso and drip coffees.
The hotel is not known for its lavish rooms. Accommodations, even the upgrades deluxe rooms, are basic and feature only a few basic amenities. However, they are spacious and feature modern kitchenettes and balconies. The great location and on-site amenities are what keeps younger guests coming back.
