Staff was amazing despite Corona Virus situation. Valet even offered to clean out and refill my coffee thermos that she found in the car. Despite the breakfast buffet being on hold due to the health crisis, A'la Carte breakfast more than made up for the switch.
No problems at all.
We missed the breakfast slept in !
It was a bit noisy in the hallways
The staff are all Fantastic, the breakfast was the best I've ever had at a hotel, the fire room and front bar are beautiful, loved the complimentary drinks. The driver was awesome too.
The mattress could use an upgrade.
The bathroom was a little weird. We may have been in a handicap suite. Heat was also very loud. Other than that is was great. Love the happy hour and driver.
We are definitely going back! This is a beautiful 1800's mansion that has been lovingly updated and restored. Our bathroom had a large, deep bathtub with jets combined with a shower. All of the staff members, including the cleaning ladies we met as we were leaving, were helpful and friendly. I wish we had had a longer opportunity to talk with the owner about finding/buying/revitalizing this property. We loved the cars and drivers that take you to and pick you up from dinner and other destinations within a three-mile radius - and there is a lot in that three-mile circle! (We were there for an evening event at the Science Museum.) Our room was clean and comfortable, as were all of the other areas we explored and enjoyed. The European breakfast was unusual and enjoyable; I wish I had noticed the bagels, rye bread, toaster, butter and jams on the bar but the cinnamon-walnut breakfast bread was delicious! There was more than enough seating for the guests during breakfast.
We weren't sure where to park when we arrived; we found a spot on the street nearby and Mansion butlers then parked our car, brought in our luggage, and retrieved it when we checked out the next morning. Not a complaint, but something we now know to do on our next visit: if/when you know the time you will need a ride, sign up at the desk for a butler/car. We stayed on Friday evening, obviously a busy time, so we had a short wait being picked up after dinner. We let the staff know what time the museum event ended and were picked up at the front door in minutes.
