There is nothing that you could not like at this hotel
Stephen and Carl make this place. Very welcoming and make great conversation. The room was lovely as was the whole house. Very tastefully decorated. The breakfast was excellent, very tasty using quality produce. We will be back
Everything was perfect
The hotel was way beyond our expectations with beautiful decor, amazing antiques and comfortable beds. Karl and Stephen couldn't have been more friendly or helpful and made us feel welcome from the moment we arrived. Breakfast was plentiful and delicious. We spent a lot of our time in our room just relaxing - something we rarely do in other hotels we have stayed in.
The plumbing was a bit noisy and the shower could be temperamental (changing from hot to cold in a moment). The only bin in the room was a tiny one in the bathroom which we overfilled each day just from tissues, teabags, drinks bottles, etc. However, these are tiny negatives compared to the many positives. Our biggest complaint would be that in almost every hotel (and sadly The Lonsdale was no exception) the bath towels are way too small. The introduction of bath sheets would be fantastic.
Brilliant, hotel run by two fantastic people. Hands down the most beautifully decorated hotel I've stayed in, too. Breakfast was delicious, as were the freshly baked biscuits provided in the room. The hotel is in a great location. It's a 2 min walk from a small high street with various shops, pubs, cafes, etc. It's a 10 minute walk from the North Pier.
A 2-minute walk from Blackpool’s promenade, The Lonsdale is a small, friendly hotel with sea views and free Wi-Fi. There is a free secure car park and garage available. The Lonsdale has elegant en suite rooms with balconies, tea/coffee and Freeview TV. A choice of full English and vegetarian breakfast options is available. Blackpool’s town centre, with its shops, theatres, and bars is within easy walking distance. The Lonsdale has had the same owners for 30 years.
