It was a room at the top of the stairs through the door on the left. On entering noticed the condition of the furniture wasn't nice but got worse when I looked at the bed mattress old and heavily stained all over. As you can imagine I didnt sleep in it. Took pictures of it and wont be back.
The bedding was clean
Unable to use shower the toilet door didn't slide smoothly ,toilet holder broken, room too small. No handles on drawers. Very dated dirty wallpaper. No heating very cold. Duvet to thin and only one pillow. No WiFi information as told it whilst going up stairs but unable to hear properly.
Poor cleanliness, brown marks on wall+bed sheets, dangerous loose tiles in shower+no heating on in room for our stay.
We travelled at two families booking two double rooms. On arrival you may find it difficult to find a parking space as this is Blackpool during the tourist season and most B&B's are located on residential streets like this one is. Get there early to find a space but remember that you cannot check in until after 2pm. The manager was behind reception to meet us and explained various rules etc then he took us personally to the rooms. You must remember that this was a budget stay and we were only really interested in having a room to sleep in for the night as we were visiting Blackpool for the kids to see the illuminations, the pleasure beach and some of the piers/arcades/rides. The rooms were fairly clean and comfortable with en-suite bathroom/shower. Some light bulbs were either not working or missing but nothing too bad as main lights in all the rooms worked just fine. At 45 quid per room per night it was reasonable. If you are looking for luxury and space with millions of facilities then you won't find it here. We can here simply for a comfortable room and a quiet environment which you will get at this hotel. Please note that breakfast, either continental or full english IS NOT included in the booking and you can book this at an extra charge. You will be given keyes to your room and the main entrance to the property which you can access 24hrs per day. My brother and I really wished we could have utilized the large living room area in the evening to sit and chat and drink a few brandy's however I don't think we were allowed access after 10pm, besides, we believe a family member of the owner was using the room to watch TV all evening anyway and we didn't want to invade his private time. Not to worry though because there is a pub just up the road on the same street and a Weatherspoons around the corner on the main promenade. The location is brilliant for the Pleasure Beach and Promenade which are a stone's throw.
Better access to the large well seated living room area in the evening would have been good.
The beds were clean
The walls were covered in mould so couldn't have the heating on due to chest complaints, bathroom door kept coming off the rails, the room could do with decorating, wallpaper coming off the wall and generally grubby looking
