Cons: Nothing
10,0 Excellent
Pros: The place is just beautiful and wonderful. It's like a museum, the place is rich in history and culture. The Japanese restaurant is also excellent there.
Cons: The internet connection isn't very good. Also, they can improve more on the quality of the breakfast. The cereals were just exposed there making it stale.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: highly unique, high-end hotel that incorporated an old city feel with all the re-purposed building materials, while being extremely private and offering high amenity services. It was also relatively close to the airport.

Cons: Cab driver was not good. Always insisted foecextra money
7,9 Good
Pros: It's convenient. They also have good Chinese and Italian restaurants in the hotel. The wifi connection is good.
Cons: They put us in a smoking room when we reserved a non-smoking room. In fairness to them, they changed us to another room the next day. We booked a heritage room to make our stay a bit more special but our view was that of a construction site in the hotel.

10,0 Excellent
Pros: The location was great, staff were very helpful, and the place was very pretty with historic touches.
9,6 Excellent
Pros: This is a great little family-owned boutique hotel that feels intimate and personal. It is right in the heart of Thamel, but once inside it is extremely quiet and peaceful.
Cons: There were building sites nearby, but they are everywhere in Kathmandu after the 2015 earthquake.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Staff are really lovely, great location in Central Thamel, room had loads of heritage features and was very clean and neat.
Cons: Little bit noisy of an evening from nearby bars, but suspect that is true of all hotels in Thamel.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Hotel is right in the center of Thamel, very strategic for shopping, plenty to choose for restaurants and bars, money changer, SIM card, mini market, laundry, tour arrangement.Bicky, the man who greet us and helped us to check in was super friendly, very informative and helpful. if you need taxi arrangement to go to airport or sites that you would like to visit around Kathmandu, I suggest to use the hotel service as they give us exact price. no need to negotiate with the taxi driver.
9,0 Excellent
Pros: The room was spacious; the complimentary mini bar and fruit was a nice bonus we weren't expecting. The breakfast was very good and filling, but by far the biggest asset was the staff and how helpful they are. Shout out to Vicky who was incredibly helpful and organised a driver to take us to a couple of the sites outside of Kathmandu on a day trip.
Cons: Nothing in particular, though the bathroom could do with a face lift.
9,2 Excellent
Pros: The staff are very helpful.
Cons: The main thing that was difficult concerned the confusion with the Sherpa travel taxi and how it was connected to the hotel. I have contacted Sherpa separately. The hotel presented an arrival taxi which did not know was Sherpa. Causing a double payment. I had great expense contacting Sherpa via 2.00$ minute phone call, Departure taxi arrived at across Thamel creating a situation where I had to rush to get the taxi. THE HOTEL PART WAS AN INCONSIDERATE DASH OF QUITE A DISTANCE. THE DESK PERSON WHO WAS RUSHING WAS NOT AWARE OR SEEM TO CARE ABOUT THE DISTRESS THAT CAUSED FOR MR. GOODING IS RESPONSIBLE TO HAVE A RELIABLE TAXI SERVICE IF THE PROVIDE ON THEIR HOTEL OFFERING. CONTACT ME ABOUT THIS,,,,
9,2 Excellent
Pros: Tranquil garden setting in the heart of Thamel and incredibly helpful and accommodating staff.

10,0 Excellent
Pros: Clean friendly great location superb!
Cons: Some building work was going on where we were on 4 th floor so a loud drilling and hammering noises went on from 6 in the morning till 11 in the EVENING! Couldn’t sleep and when we asked staff at reception they didn’t know anything about this? A bit strange I would say especially as the property is fenced and guarded!
10,0 Excellent
Cons: Airport shuttle 12$ ! In others hotels tins free.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Extremely luxurious
Cons: Nothing
5,0 Okay
Pros: Only ambience was good that’s all
Cons: Staff was not well behaved
5,0 Okay
Pros: I think generally the room and location was great. Food was good.
Cons: I think generally the room and location was great. But I had couple of bad experiences such as smoking side room was really bad, there was smoke coming inside my room, however they changed it after I complaint. Reception staff were bit rude when I complained about it. Additionally, they came to inspect the mini bar while we were in the room, that was really insulting because I had never experienced such thing in any 5 star hotel. I hope they actually train their staff to give respect to their guest.
8,3 Excellent
Cons: Staff was not to friendly
10,0 Excellent
Pros: The food was great and the location was very central. The staff were extremely helpful and friendly. The room was comfortable and clean.
6,3 Good
Pros: Ambience was good. .Was also built as per the ancient Hindu temple structure so liked that. .The plush green joggers park and Tennis courts were one of the best features of the Hotel..
Cons: Food was tailor made to Westerners. .US Indians had very little options given the fact that Nepal culture is very much influenced by Hindu Indian culture....The entire set up was pro West with Indian culture taking a back seat..In room Menu was poor with limited options..Lack of Co - irritation among Hotel staff...A lady just walked into my room for house keeping while I was still in the room which got escalated to a high level. ...However the entire episode was hushed up by not charging us for that night and the next to follow. .
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Looks like a Nepali Palace. Really lovely. Very close to some of the key sites. Good pool, spa, etc.
Cons: Cuisine options too limited.

Featured amenities include a 24-hour business center, express check-in, and express check-out. Event facilities at this hotel consist of a conference center and a meeting room. 10,0 Excellent
Pros: The staff go above and beyond to please Extremely polite & friendly, rooms are very clean & food is delicious
9,2 Excellent
Pros: Close to Boudanath, close to Airport, big rooms, wonderful restaurant roof top.
Cons: Airport taxi too expensive
7,9 Good
Pros: The Spa was outstanding. The reception staff and room cleaning staff were all very helpful, polite, and hardworking- eager to ease my stay and my visit to Nepal in any way they could. The room was incredibly big. Shower got hot quickly and was very clean.
Cons: Breakfast left much to be desired. The first issue was it took 3 attempts of ordering a menu item for the staff to place the correct order (in this case sautéed carrots and a grilled tomato). There were insects around the fruit and juice areas, which is concerning. Breakfast staff need higher levels of English in order to interact with international guests. The toiletries were a bit limited- there was no hair conditioner included. Also the toilet lid was broken on one side and toilet paper roll holder was installed in the wrong place making it difficult to access for people who actually use toilet paper.
8,3 Excellent
Pros: This hotel is within walking distance to Boudha Stupa. Near to amenities and good restaurants. Ample parking and security is good. Staff speak good english. I would recommend guests to eat at the restaurant. Food quality and taste was very good. Fantastic views of Boudha Stupa while dining here. Room size is spacious though the bathroom light is rather dim. A cafe next to hotel serves good imported coffee and nice for chilling out. Overall, it is 1 of the better hotels in kathmandu and will definitely stay here again.
Cons: Wifi keeps dropping and need to log in many times per day. Spa is quite dated and old furnitures, not cosy but the masseur is good for Nepal standard. I find cleanliness / hygiene is an issue here and in most places in Kathmandu. I was served tea from cups stored inside the toilet. Air cond broke down halfway through my massage and water leaking from the wall. Not recommeded!
10,0 Excellent
Pros: The best hotel in all Kathmandu, beautiful, calm, clean, staff... amazing
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Really great hotel in a great location.
8,8 Excellent
Cons: The condition of the llocation is beyond the control of the facility, but the street it faces is very busy and dusty.
8,3 Excellent
Pros: Se below.
Cons: Not really the hotels fault, but the main road running just outside is one of the most dust-polluted areas of greater Kathmandu. 8 out of 10 people you pass on the road are wearings masks, and after dark you can really see the high level of dust in the air in front of the cars headlights: It looks like fog. Yes, you do have to walk this road to get to/from the great stupa, which is very close to the hotel. And again in the evening should you wish to dine on a rooftop cafe with stupa views. The road has lots of traffic meaning the street dust gets constantly sucked up into the air. Unfortunately, even though this could easily be solved by the city by removing the dust from the streets, it seems at though everyone has just accepted this is the way things are.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Loved the service and friendly staff and above all the cleanliness
Cons: The breakfast should also include some food options for guests for Indian subcontinent like roti, puri, sabzi etc

4,2 Okay
Pros: Large room. Hot water.
Cons: No credit cards! This was a problem since I had budgeted my cash and to spend additional ATM fees and credit card cash advance fees. So loud, construction outside window starting at 6am. The scrap of rug was filthy, tried to some yoga and I stuck to it; I doubt that it has been vacuumed or washed in a year. Lack of usable electrical outlets. No shampoo. TV didn't work until after multiple complaints. Half of the light switches didn't work. Shower consisted of a few thin streams.

Cons: We mainly came to explore the forest. But nobody told us at booking that we couldn’t even go down a forest path to the golf course due to a golf tournament Saturday morning. Waste a time to get up at 6am. Mainly compensated by a free 4 hour guided tour through forest and into Gokarna town by excellent guide from 9:30
9,2 Excellent
Pros: The property is situated out of town in a huge forest full of deers, eagles and monkeys. Although bot the newest it is super comfy and whatever little issue you lay encounter is dealt by the extremely professional and kind personnel. I have rarely seen sobluch dedication.
Cons: The roads in Katmandu are dreadful. Don’t chose this place if you are going to be in and out of town.
8,8 Excellent
Pros: It’s very green and you can breath fresh air in this property. Very beautiful.
Cons: It’s not the fault of the property but the road that leads to the property is very bad. Lots of potholes and makes the whole drive up very difficult.
9,6 Excellent
Pros: Facilities and staff were great. Spa treatments were fab and so relaxing. Food was good too.
Cons: Location was a bit far out from main Kathmandu (they do have a shuttle service) but I was planning just to relax after a trek so I didn't mind too much.
7,9 Good
Pros: Very friendly staff and the room was lovely.
Cons: The pool, gym and spa facilities are very outdated. The food was overall average and sometimes overpriced.
8,8 Excellent
Pros: Location is really great, plenty of wildlife in the surrounding forest, very good for kids. Staff was very friendly and helpful.
Cons: Breakfast buffet could be better especially for continental food. Rooms may benefit some refurbishment
9,7 Excellent
Pros: Very nice hotel, staff was friendly and the golf course beautiful.
Cons: Charging for Internet was a bit disappointing given the price of the hotel. Also my wife received a facial treatment in which she thought it did not meet her expectations.

The location was close to shopping & other food options. The staff were so helpful & having the money exchange at the reception was useful. Also having the information about other tour options & staff to help organise any extra tours was excellent. My friends also made good use of the spa area for massage etc.
Cons: I did get some bedbug bites on my lower leg.

Pros: We absolutely loved the staff! The young men working in the dining area were very friendly and took notice to our food allergies. Cons: The hotel should consider having an in house massage/spa
10,0 Excellent
Pros: This hotel exceeded my expectations. Set in a beautiful building, with friendly and helpful staff. The rooms were spectacular, along with the courtyard and the dining room. The restaurant serves organic food which is cooked to the highest standard. The hotel is mindful about the impact on environment, and so avoids using plastic and wasting water etc. We had the best stay there the first night in Kathmadu and would 100% recommend it to anyone, and would definitely go again! The owner came to speak to us at breakfast too- and added touch which made it feel very personal.
Cons: Nothing- everything was over and above our expectations and it was such great value for money- we would definitely stay again!
9,6 Excellent
Pros: The construction is beautiful. The courtyard and entrance have a unique design. The hotel is located very close to shops and restaurants but you will not notice the noise from outside.
Cons: The bed was a bit to hard.

Pros: The building itself is really beautiful, it has a very authentic and historian looks of Nepalese culture. Breakfast was really good, the staff were also very friendly. Although it is not the most comfortable staying, it was worth to had experienced a night there.
Cons: The bathroom facility is very mediocre. Doesn’t feel very clean.
8,3 Excellent
Pros: Roof top yoga classes were great. The coffee was excellent. The building is beautiful and the staff were all very friendly and helpful.
Cons: Our room was on the first floor so the smell of the street did waft in occasionally (smoke, etc).

Pros: Awesome
Cons: Awesome
8,8 Excellent
Pros: Clean room, excellent location, taxis easily available. They accommodated me for an early checkin without extra pay.
Cons: I had booked for one night with breakfast. I checked in early and i said i will eat breakfast today and not tomorrow. There was a lot of apprehension and permissions to be taken from their higher management and I had to wait at the breakfast reception before I was allowed in. I felt insulted. Also when I ordered my omlette I said omlette with vegetables, the waitress made fun of me along with her colleagues joking loudly that I am a fool asking for a "vegetarian omlette".They did not realise perhaps that I am a local citizen. Room service stopped early at night. This info is not given in room service directory. I wanted to order dessert at around 11pm and they politely refused saying no room service. Only international news channels on tv.

Cons: Excellent
9,0 Excellent
Pros: Grandour of the property itself. I stayed in a deluxe suite that was very comfortable. Broad range of varieties of breakfast. Buffet dinner was average. Bar in itself is small but okay. Wasn't able to try spa and swimming pool. Being near to Thamel, easy access to king's way. Overall I have no hesitation to stay here again.
Cons: No free airport shuttle. In this day and age arrangements of other facilities i.e domestic air tickets shouldn't be a problem. When I asked such domestic flt booking I was told to contact other department where it was simply a matter of forwarding my email or request to the responsible department which is just near the main reception area.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: I would never stay somewhere else in Kathmandu!
Cons: Staff, pool, and the rooms
9,0 Excellent
Pros: The staff were very efficient and friendly. The rooms were clean and spacious, with good facilities. Gardens were lovely, very well maintained and that gave us a really nice space to relax in. Food was good if a little pricey but you sort of expect that in a hotel of this quality. But overall a fabulous stay. I would reccomend it and stay there again.
Cons: The on ly thing that I didn't appreciate was the cleaners trying to get into the room before we were ready to go out in the morning. But I just put that in so I don't look like a total pushover.

Pros: The staff is very accomodating, the pool relaxing the food is quite good and with some variety plus s simple, comfortable place to rest and catch up on news, (with included papers), tv and rest.
Cons: The cab ride over, be sure to either arrange in advance (the trip from the hotel to the airport was both arranged and good) or otherwise ensure you get a good taxi.

9,4 Excellent
Pros: 1.The cost ($21,usd/night), 2.Venue real nice courtyard to chat with people from all over the world-mostly trekkers but other tourists and expats on extended stays or working in Nepal), rooms small but clean, no ac but not needed, can open windows at night and sleep comfortably 3. location (if you want to immerse yourself in the culture of Kathmandu) 4. cleanliness 5. Staff friendly typical of Nepali people I have met in country and as expats elsewhere. To put in perspective if you are looking for a multi-star with turned down covers and gourmet baking, scenic view etc. go elsewhere but if you want to dive into Nepal culture and chat with other like minded folks this is the place.
Cons: The power is shut off by the electric company from time to time by the electric company but the is typical of all of Kathmandu. The internet was slow but I didn't come to nepal to stare at a screen for long periods of time.
9,0 Excellent
Pros: Great location, right in the city yet nice and quiet, with a lovely central courtyard garden. Thamel, Durbar Square and Swayambhu were all 20-30 mins walk. But it was the staff that really made our stay special, everybody was so friendly and helpful. We stayed three nights before our trek and a further three nights afterwards, taking most of our meals in the hotel, all were excellent.
Cons: Nothing.
9,2 Excellent
Pros: Staff very friendly and helpful. Feels secure. I like that it's outside main thamel but only by a couple minutes. Airport pickup worked ok, even though I missed the sign.
Cons: Like a lot of places in Thamel it's getting a little tired in terms of room decor and furnishings. But it's fine.

8,0 Excellent
Pros: This place was a quick walk from central Thames, the facility was clean and they supplied free filtered water in the lobby. The staff was super friendly and helpful, especially Siri who worked, mostly, in the dining area and was superb. His openness, professionalism, and welcoming demeanor are reason enough to stay at Hotel Ganesh Himal. The rooms were clean, and the garden is gorgeous.
9,2 Excellent
Pros: - very friendly and helpful staff (Airport transfer, cab, bus to chitwan)
Cons: - bathroom ok but not as clean and tidy as the rest of the room - shower floats whole bath
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Very laid back but professional staff, especially Shree, who was very helpful and always friendly. The rooms are spacious and clean and the food is great and well priced. Would definitely stay there again.
Cons: Aside from a few mosquitos in the very relaxing courtyard, no complaints!

Pros: The surrounding was great and the staff were nice.
Cons: Not all rooms had proper functioning AC even though it was advertised. The food could also be better
10,0 Excellent
Pros: This was the most welcoming of guest houses! We arrived hungry and exhausted and they happily cooked us up fresh pasta and sauce. So delicious! Kind, attentive and just plain lovely staff! Exceptionally clean room and hotel! They even sweep the grass!
8,3 Excellent
Pros: Very flexible! We could stay the whole afternoon on the day of departure. This was very convenient due to we were travelling with our own bikes and had an evening flight back home. Furthermore the owner of the hotel was very informative. We learned a lot about the country and area. The even brought us to Changunarayan.
9,2 Excellent
Pros: Very friendly and attentive staff. Airport pickup and drop off service was a great addition. We used their car service for the city tour also. Although it is outside the main city, we enjoyed our short stay in the local neighborhood.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Loved everything! The breakfast in the garden was great, best we had in Nepal. The staff and owner are really welcoming, thoughtful and helpful. They also invited us to celebrate a festival with their family. Views from the room were great. Room was spacious. They even brought us to the busstation. Not in the center so it's quiet at night, and a pleasant and easy 10 minute walk to the old centre.
8,3 Excellent
Pros: Nice place to stay nearby the centre of Bhaktapur. It is 15 mins away from the center in a really quite and peaceful area. Good option if your looking to stay a little far away from the touristic zone.

10,0 Excellent
Pros: Great location right in between two of the the main squares. lovely clean and comfortable room with a great breakfast on the rooftop. Would definitely stay again.
7,0 Good
Pros: It was a nice guesthouse for the price you pay. Breakfast is very good and super chill to start your day on the rooftop. Location is great!!
Cons: The place is super noisy, constantly. Because of the location as well but also the windows didn’t close properly..
9,2 Excellent
Pros: Literally steps from Bhaktapur’s main attractions...loved waking up to the sounds of bells and watch the whole town walking around carrying offerings, on their way for blessings, pujas, etc..might not be suitable for light sleepers to stay in room with streetview but we didn’t mind...breakfast on the roof was very scenic
7,0 Good
Pros: The location is fantastic and the staff were very helpful. Breakfast was good too and served on the rooftop. The bathroom was recently remodelled and very clean.
Cons: There were no screens in the windows. Most of the rooms are facing the street. We stayed on a Saturday & Sunday and it was throughout the night. Much if this is also contributed to the bells from the nearby temple.
7,9 Good
Pros: Very strategic location between 2 squares and minutes walk to pottery square. They run a cafe with good cakes and coffees.
Cons: WiFi sometimes not smooth.
8,8 Excellent
Pros: Location

Pros: Stunning historic property kept to extremely high standard. Excellent breakfast.
Cons: Such much attention at the details then the bathroom. Small, dump and sad. Not even a shower curtain! With small improvements the property can be 10/10
9,0 Excellent
Pros: Perfect location. Lots of character. Great breakfast and friendly staff
Cons: None
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Cannot imagine better location, just in the old town and around the corner from the Peacock Window. The hotel itself is so beautiful and stylish. The hosts were gracious and helpful, breakfast was sumptuous and tasty. Again, you can't beat the location.
Cons: We booked the deluxe room overlooking the square, months in advance, and it was confirmed in direct correspondence with the hotel. Upon check in, we were told that our room was "not available". They claimed they notified us by email, but we did not get it prior to the departure. Cannot help thinking that better guests shown up, and so we were ditched. Not such a good experience. The hotel itself and all the great things about it made up for the disappointment, which in the big picture did not matter. We had great time, and we have no hesitation giving the hotel top rating. But imagine we were a couple on honeymoon and were ditched like this. Not nice.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: The house, the staff, the food, the location, we love everything about this home.
7,5 Good
Pros: the place has cafe and good bakery downstairs and the decoration are beautiful local but nice
Cons: from the room i stay bathroom too small not quite uncomfortable to use.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: The Peacock Guest House is a dream for everyone who is looking for the old traditions of Newari People. A 700 years old house with all the beautiful woodcarving the Newari artist are famous for. Situated at the oldes square of Bhaktapur do choose the „Bhaitak“ room which offers view from its magnificent woodcarving windows onto the square with its temples and life, as well as into the courtyard. The lovely staff is super friendly and cares for you - it is the best room I had in all of Nepal!
Cons: The only Con that comes with a traditional old Newari house are the lower cealings and doors. But the Charme of this 700 years old pearl of Newari Art and its perfect location plus the helpful, lovely staff compensated for everything!
9,6 Excellent
Pros: Location, staffs, food, atmosphere
Cons: low ceiling
8,0 Excellent
Pros: Perfect location. Relaxing. Good food. Very friendly staff with lots of helpful local information.
Cons: Only minor drawback was that we had the lovely front bedroom for 4 nights at the time of a local festival. The room was quite noisy from very early in the morning and in the evening- great views but remember ear plugs if you are lucky to be given this room.
