It was a okish hotel. Wasn't well serviced. My dad lost his original photo id along with the onwards tickets kept in a file on the bed of my room due to the negligence of the cleaning staff. We left those behind as was not needed for the day and when we came back the whole file was missing. When we reported it, they mentioned if you left things in the room it should have been there, and indicated that we might have left it somewhere else. So it didnt feel very safe after day one to leave things behind.
Not bad location
Inappropriate attitude to the guests
Central heating is not working. Noisy disposal machine in the bathroom. Sewage water in the shower.
When my 2 friends and I arrived at the hotel we were unable to even get into the building due to the outside door being locked. We only got in about 5-10 mins later due to another man exiting the building. We made our way into the building, it was pitch black with no light or people in sight (keep in mind this was at about 6pm and it was still light outside) so we carefully walked up the stairs and into the lobby which was also pitch black. After shouting for a few mins, some lights came on and we were met by a check in lady who showed us to our room. The room itself was big but also dirty and old/falling apart, also the tv was ancient. We also had to share a bathroom with 2 other rooms which was dark, damp and slimy to say the least and also a long trek down the corridor to get to! After being in the hotel for about half an hour and laughing about how awful the situation was we heard a knock on the door and were told to be quiet by the woman who checked us in as there are children staying in the hotel and since we are in Germany now and not the UK she would call the police on us if we continued (at bloody 6pm!). Lastly, the room service refused to change our towels because they had not been left on the floor so we had to use the same towels for our whole stay, ridiculous P.S. the building is always pitch black and empty when entering at any time of the day.
1 key for a group of 5 was a bit problematic, but in their defence we didn't enquire about additional keys.
