Not a very welcoming hotel
Not much to like.
Not a great experience. Employees was not very welcoming. Checking in the first thing the young man said I don’t see your reservation. I had to pull up my confirmation number. Thank God I had available. Rooms was ok with a low quality thin comforter. There was no extra blanket. All hotels I stayed always had extra blanket in pillow. Lastly parked my car with valet parking for 40 bucks a night. when it was time to retrieve it took over 40 minutes to come. They could not find my car keys. I would not recommend this location or stay here again.

Hotel overbooked!
Walked due to overbooking. Never contacted by hotel. Very poor service, the experience definitely turned me off to this chain.

Large refillable shower supplies; better for environment than lots of little bottles. Beautiful room. Tea/coffee/drinks for guests. Convenient for public transportation.
Shower made awful high-pitched squealing sound. Room card became deactivated for no reason.

Location
The Monaco was located in walking distance to the inner harbor and the subway line was across the street.
The business center was on the pricey side.

Cosy, stylish, friendly and a good value...
Very helpful staff, great, clean and cozy room. We appreciated the rollaway, which was really far beyond the cot-like thing we had sort of expected (we added another person to the room after making the reservation, so knew it would be tight). We really appreciated the help with that and with extra toothpaste/brush. Thankful that quality is always high across any Kimpton hotels I've stayed at.
It seemed like it would have been helpful if there were more staff on-hand at peak times for check-in, etc. Staff was great and helpful, but having worked at a front desk, this one seemed like it could have benefited from a few more people.
About
Overview
Kimpton Hotel Monaco Baltimore is a boutique hotel with 202 rooms of elegance and luxury. This quaint inn sits in Baltimore's Inner Harbor and his just minutes away from some of the city's best sites. The hotel and its accompanying restaurant are located within the historic B&O Railroad Headquarters building, which had its heyday over 100 years ago in 1906 when it was a popular destination for early business tycoons and politicians. This Golden Age aesthetic is preserved and given a modern update to give Kimpton Hotel a unique look and feel.
The Kimpton Hotel Monaco is highly acclaimed, as it was named the Best Hotel in Maryland in 2019 by Southern Living magazine and to the Best Hotels in Baltimore list by U.S. News & World Report. There are three different floorplans for guests to choose from. The majority of the hotel's accommodations are the Deluxe Rooms, which come with a spacious work desk, luxurious Frette linens, and incredible views of the city. Guests can also choose to stay in the King Premier Spa that comes with a Fuji tub and the Monte Carlo, which is the same as the King Premier except with two queen beds.
Kimpton Hotel Monaco's in-house restaurant, B&O American Brasserie, creates modern American cuisine using locally-sourced ingredients. Given that the restaurant is mere steps from the harbor, guests can expect lots of delicious freshly caught seafood on the menu. Some of the kitchen's signature dishes include the blue crab etouffee, marrow bone short rib and sweet potato gnocchi with pear purée, crispy sage, and toasted walnuts.
