Pros: Love the location. The quirkiness of the historic building made it very charming. A number of very friendly and helpful staff members. My wife loved the toiletries and ended up buying some in the gift shop.
Cons: Took some time for someone to check us into the hotel. The bartender at the hotel was one of the most unwelcoming people that I have dealt with in awhile. He makes a great drink, but truly did not want anybody in the bar.
7,0 Good
Pros: fun old hotel, front desk staff was friendly and helpful, beautifully decorated. DVD player in room and lots of movies to choose from.
Cons: We could hear the sound from the hallway/stairway in our room. The pillows were lacking. The bathroom had no counter space to put our toiletries. The staff in the bar were very unprofessional - complaining in front of us. Parking was a little far.

Pros: Every touch point I had with the hotel was positive. The staff were all friendly and incredibly helpful.
Cons: N/A
10,0 Excellent
Pros: It is a piece of history! It brags the third elevator EVER west of Chicago. The bar had great happy hour AND breakfast food. And the rack of lamb in the restaurant was excellent. They even have a copy of the old movie Paint Your Wagon to enjoy

10,0 Excellent
Pros: The hotel was beautiful and the ghost hunt was a lot of fun!
10,0 Excellent
Pros: We particularly enjoyed the buffet breakfast.
9,0 Excellent
Pros: The hotel is beautiful. Our room was large and comfortable. Very clean.
Cons: The staff needs a class in hospitality. The young woman behind the desk was not welcoming when we arrived, no eye contact, no smile, no welcoming conversation. Our room wasn’t ready ( it was 3:30pm) a second woman came over to tell us we could upgrade our room to a suite. No thanks, the hotel already gave us a separate charge to have “two people” in our room. Who does that? She suggested the bar while we wait. That was fine, head into the bar. Bartender is not welcoming either. It was as if we were a burden to all these employees. Drank our beer and went back to the front desk. The same receptionist with long black hair sees us and asks ‘ how can I help you’. We were just here 30 min ago, she doesn’t remember? Again no smile, no eye contact. These staff members were not well trained, just doing a job, not representatives of this beautiful old hotel. Also, the gift shop needs to have a designers eye. It was so crowded with stock I felt I was in a warehouse. Completely neglected and unwelcoming. Only room complaint- the coffee pot should not be in the bathroom. Kinda gross, put it in the main room.
7,0 Good
Pros: The history! While it is a fun and nice-enough place to stay, I can only imagine what it would have been like in its heyday. The atmosphere inside the hotel is a bit like what I would imagine that time-traveling adventure to be like.
Cons: The breakfast had all the setup for something awesome, it was a bit of a dud. The staff was very friendly, but the food was just pretty average (and not really their fault).
9,0 Excellent
Pros: Wonderful view from the suite. Excellent accommodations.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Dinner on the other hand was fabulous. Perfect and staff spot on.
Cons: Breakfast needs improvements huge. Sausage gravy pot wasn't turned on so cold. No biscuits for the gravy. No alternative protein options available, No optionfor those with egg allergies and the toaster was way too small for the bread provided.

Pros: There was a coffee maker. No coffee though,
Cons: We had been traveling for 3 days with our 5 grandsons. Grandpa was tired so we made an unplanned stop in Baker City - I called a couple hotels on the way, looking for a pool, so the boys could have some fun and unload some energy. The first hotel straight up told me the pool was not operational at the time. The next one had an outdoor pool that was closed for the season. This holel said they had a pool and hot tub. Not my first choice in hotels, obviously but having the pool and hot tub was a compensating factor. After we checked in, we were advised that the pool and hot tub were closed for maintenance. Our stay was now hon - refundable. Not a nice way of doing business in my opinion. The room was musty smelling. It looked clean, but the bathroom floor had hair and stuff in the corners and the tub had a ring around it. I wouldn't have mentioned thesethings had I not been swindled into booking 2 rooms here and, as I feel, lied to about the pool. Had they told meup front the pool was closed, I would have stayed at the first HoteI I called. At least they were honest.

Pros: Easy access. Ground floor pet access room to offsite pet area. Good breakfast bar. Reception was very personable and efficient when we checked in after a long days drive. Not the Four Seasons but better than Motel 6 if you are looking for a good nights sleep along the way. Especially if you are travelling with your pet dog.

Pros: Quiet, clean, comfortable, amenities, location, breakfast
8,0 Excellent
Pros: Easy to get to. Good breakfast.

Pros: Quiet location. Very good breakfast. Comfortable king bed and large room.
Cons: Room and office could be cleaner.
4,0 Okay
Pros: Location
Cons: For $---/night, I expected something above a C-average Motel 6.
3,0 Mediocre
Cons: My nonsmoking room stunk of stale cigarette smoke. The lightbulbs were dim. And cars were drag racing outside all night.
3,8 Mediocre
Pros: Nothing! The only thing remotely good was the poor front desk person who probably doesn’t have a lot of employment opportunities in a town like Baker City.
Cons: For starters, the metal door was dented & scratched, everything was dusty and smelled musty. The floors had piles of dust in the corners. The “heater” appeared to have been installed in the ‘50’s and had to run constantly to heat the room and was NOISY! If I hadn’t had my own blanket I would have gotten no sleep at all. The TV was horrid. The phone didn’t work when I tried to call the front desk. I had to go buy ice and water because the ice machine was terrifying. The bed was lumpy, sheets and cover were threadbare. The bath linens were the worst possible quality. The base of the toilet was filthy and the shower walls moldy looking. I put a towel in the tub to stand on for my shower. This place is horrible. The worst part is that I paid the same amount at a Hampton the night before! Ridiculous! I was exhausted after driving 100’s of miles thru bad winter weather, otherwise I would have taken the loss and gone somewhere else.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Nice facility Excellant breakfast

8,0 Excellent
Pros: Location and great breakfast
Cons: Loud truck parking in the adjacent lot
7,0 Good
Pros: Comfy bed though slightly narrow. Feel at home decorating (although it's personal). Nice water pressure on the shower, typical hotel/motel bathroom. Room has coffeemaker, fridge (not too noisy), microwave and TV.
Cons: The heater is typical American with airflow, makes it noisy. TV reception was bad and WIFI was temporarily out of service. Something they should really ban are the trucks nearby who run their engine for a long time during the night. Anyway, we suspect that they were trucks.
4,0 Okay
Pros: Dirty room, inattentive staff, thin walls
Cons: Dirty room, inattentive staff, thin walls
5,0 Okay
Pros: Staff was friendly. Continental breakfast was excellent. Location to freeway was great.
Cons: Considering it was 14 degrees overnight, heater barely worked. Kept blowing cool air into the room. No hot water for shower second morning. No ice.
5,0 Okay
Pros: Staff was friendly and helpful. Breakfast was continental but good. Close to freeway.
Cons: Considering it was 14° overnight, heater barely worked, it kept blowing cool air in the room. Had to take FAST shower as I no hot water for shower.
5,0 Okay
Pros: Pillows were the best I've ever had at a hotel, firm enough to prop my head up.
Cons: Needs renovation. Floor tiles cracked, toilet seat worn, bed hard.
1,0 Poor
Pros: not much of a selection.. was not impressed.
Cons: almost everything about this place was bad.. from no hot water to people being very loud out side of our room to people being very loud in the room beside us and above us, power in our room went out we had a pipe break, what could go wrong did.
1,0 Poor
Pros: Nice having refrigerator and microwave. And our two small dogs with us.
Cons: The room stunk, a toxic smell, heater didn't work correctly..had to clean the heater filter because it was clogged. Noisy all night long. Took awhile for the hot water to kick in for a shower! The whole room just felt dirty from stinky carpets to stinky walls.
9,0 Excellent
Pros: There was a stale cigarette Oder but staff made up for it, breakfast was better then other hotels in this price range, WiFi didn’t work well but was better then others Thank you!
Cons: See other description
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Convenient, quiet, nearby restaurants, accommodated our small dog, and congenial staff.
5,0 Okay
Pros: Staff and location
Cons: Had a water leak in bathroom wasn't vacumed very well.
3,0 Mediocre
Pros: It was clean and tidy. WiFi was great.
Cons: The heater was incredibly loud and came in every few minutes no matter what temperature you set it at. It was disruptive to my sleep. The hotel is next to a semi- parking lot so early in the morning you heard very loud trucks idling and taking off.

10,0 Excellent
Pros: Close to downtown. Great value and very friendly staff.
8,3 Excellent
Pros: But the orange juice was okay.
Cons: Water turned cool in shower at 10:pm Saturday night. Heater fan is very loud, so I turned it off for the night. Refrigerator is very annoying when it starts so I unplugged it. It was also in the way to the bathroom. It would block some people. Hopefully there are other rooms for wheelchair bound people. Breakfast appeared to be Froot Loops, raisin bran, and donuts, so we went out for a real breakfast. But the orange juice was okay. Even though I payed on-line with my credit card the night before, rather than having just a quick look at my credit card, manager seemed to take a long time to figure it out. I am hoping he didn't double charge us.
4,2 Okay
Pros: Girl if front office courtious.
Cons: First key didnt work.... chase around and fix that.... get the next room.... 2 beds.... both dirty.... while fixing that situation.... girlfriend found all the mattresses that were just replaced.... but the new ones were dirty already??? Stay away....
5,4 Okay
Pros: too early for breakfast railroad tracks close
Cons: see above
7,5 Good
Cons: Motel had the look of being rather run down, poor maid service and has to plunge toilet
3,3 Mediocre
Pros: Nothing..
Cons: Shown as a budget motel, but more accurately should be shown as a budget dump. The office reeked of cooking odors, the staff couldn't get out of the chair to greet us, the place is a disarray, the bed was hard as a brick, the room was less than clean, there was dried vomit on a wall in the bath room, the "pool" was nothing more than a concrete pond located on the corner of 2 streets, and the "continental breakfast" was 2 different cold cereals, mile and a banana. We stayed 1 night and despite having paid for 3 nights, we checked out and left this mess.
8,0 Excellent
Pros: Everything convenient and functional
Cons: Facilities a little dated.
7,9 Good
Pros: Staff was a little slow but very friendly. Upgraded my room at no extra change so I could have a ground floor unit to make it easier for me and my dogs.
Cons: Parking was not great.
4,6 Okay
Cons: Older motel. The morning breakfast was very limited
5,0 Okay
Pros: Good price and good location
Cons: Room was not cleaned the entire time (three nights) I was there.
