Pros: + Bad Neuenahr-Ahrweiler is a very nice quiet town with historical walled keep still intact. + Hotel Aurora is a historical building with rich art nouveau decorations. + It is staffed and managed by members of the family that originally owned the hotel for more than 100 years, who are all very nice people. + It has a very good own cuisine in their restaurant. + Our rooms at the top floor had an amazing view over the town and wine yards. + There's a warm indoor pool, bubble bath and sauna.

Pros: Beautiful art noveau hotel, convenient location and very helpful staff. We really enjoyed the pool and spa area, and it was lovely when complimentary tea and coffee was brought down to us there. Good selection of food and drinks for breakfast.

Pros: Always our first stop in Germany to relax and start our holiday. Really friendly family run hotel. Great food with a fantastic breakfast buffet and recommend for evening meals and afternoon coffe and cake. Stopped here several times. Bad Neuenahr is a Great base to explore the Ahr region and for day trips up Rhine if you have a car. Hotel has a pool but the spa in the town is very good - lots of others in driving distance (Ie Euskirchen), nice drive to Bad Münstereifel for outlet shopping with a difference. Well worth ditching the plane and catching ferry over with the car.

Pros: Wonderful and quality hotel with super great team . They were very sensitive and helpful with my gluten free meals which was really important to me. Always love to be there and looking forward to come back. I highly recommend !

Pros: + Bad Neuenahr-Ahrweiler is a very nice quiet town with historical walled keep still intact. + Hotel Aurora is a historical building with rich art nouveau decorations. + It is staffed and managed by members of the family that originally owned the hotel for more than 100 years, who are all very nice people. + It has a very good own cuisine in their restaurant. + Our rooms at the top floor had an amazing view over the town and wine yards. + There's a warm indoor pool, bubble bath and sauna.
Cons: - The room doors are made of very light wood and provide barely any soundproofing for the room. Moreover, the locks on these doors are mechanical and open with very loud clicking sound. You can literally hear a door opening in a room across the corridor.

Cons: Aparthotel am Kurpark, like most accommodation, offers discounts for longer stays. Their tiered discount rates start from 5 night onwards. Therefore for my visit of 5 nights, a discount would have applied had I booked direct with the hotel. Sadly booking.com applied the full rate. If it is booking.com's policy never to apply discounts for longer stays offered by accommodation providers, this will encourage me to contact providers direct to obtain the discounts they offer.

Cons: Just a suggestion for improvement to the owner, it would be more comfortable if the hotel provide hot water kettle in the room to boil hot water for our own tea or coffee. Would also more comfortable to have biddet in the bathroom. But it was a very very nice hotel anyway... it is not a minus of this hotel...just a suggestion for improvement. :)

Pros: We had a good welcoming. Our room was on the top floor and was very comfy and clean. Everyone was so friendly, always with a Hello and a smile on their faces. You can't top the breakfast. We enjoyed our stay even though it was only for one night, shame really. We know we would stay there again. A lovely house, very nice decorated, and goodly run with heart and thought. Thanking you.

Cons: There are some parking spots in the street, parking costs € 4 a day. If you're unlucky and the places are already occupied, maybe you'll have to search a little bit in the heighbourhood as soms streets nearby are pedestrian area.

Pros: Very nice and beautiful classic hotel in Bad Neuenahr. The hotel is well positioned near Ahr Thermen and for the guests of the hotel, there is a discount to enter the SPA center (you can buy tickets at the hotel reception). It's also near to all nice restaurants and coffee places (with the best German cakes ;-)). The breakfast was excellent, they even serve bubbles. Our family room was big, with huge bathroom and walk in wardrobe. Definitely would like to stay here again!

Cons: The bathroom was looking cheap and had no style. Also the hotel was in 2 buildings. So when you wanted to go to the resection you had to go outside to the other building. And that is the reason that I thought that it was to expensive for what you get.

Cons: No air conditioning; outside was 40 degrees, the room was like an oven. The lady serving breakfast was kind of rude, looked more like a soldier that a waitress. The elevator doesn't go all the way; I had to take my luggage up the stairs. Stains all over the carpet in the room and in the corridor.

Cons: We had no reason to complain about anything. Originally we wanted to stay in Ahrweiler, which is a prettier town than Bad-Neuenahr. But this hotel is very close to the city centre and there is no shortage of excellent restaurants in this area.

Cons: The TV was not working in two of the four rooms. Treception staff was very friendly and trying to help but not able to make any decisions. Each question involved a phone call to the owner of the hotel who was not at all service orientated. He was only interested in the money, not to provide customer service or. There is no staff in the hotel after 18.00 h. We originally booked 2 single and 1 double room. As the rooms cannot be converted into twin rooms (my own oversight) we were offered another double room at single rate, which is fine. However, we were still charged the full price for the double room - so effectively paid for 5 people, even though there were only 4 in our party. This is where customer service would have been appreciated and the two double rooms should have been charged at single occupancy rate. However, the owner insisted on receiving all the money. BE AWARE: The website claims that there hotel has TWIN rooms but we were informed upon arrival that NONE of the rooms can be converted into a twin room.

Pros: Fresh rolls at breakfast every morning, salad and fruit. On a warm day the terrace doors open so you feel you are in Italy. The staff, even when running around serving restaurant customers, go out of their way to be helpful. The room (single room) was very spacious with a little balcony, which was much appreciated. Good bed, hot shower and nice extras like a bottle of local spring water and beautiful glasses. The restaurant is also great. The location is wonderful, right by the market square and just round the corner from the shopping streets and cafe's and the Kurpark with the Casino and Thermen and the river Ahr. Price, if you book early enough, is amazingly low.

Pros: The breakfast was good, I forgot to tell them that I am a vegetarian, so for me it was not worth it. If you eat meat, there is enough variety. There were cereals but I did not see yoghurt although I could have asked for it. They also brought some extra slices of wholemeal bread. The owners are really nice and helpful.
Cons: It was a little bit noisy in the morning, but I had to wake up early so I did not mind.

Pros: Fresh rolls at breakfast every morning, salad and fruit. On a warm day the terrace doors open so you feel you are in Italy. The staff, even when running around serving restaurant customers, go out of their way to be helpful. The room (single room) was very spacious with a little balcony, which was much appreciated. Good bed, hot shower and nice extras like a bottle of local spring water and beautiful glasses. The restaurant is also great. The location is wonderful, right by the market square and just round the corner from the shopping streets and cafe's and the Kurpark with the Casino and Thermen and the river Ahr. Price, if you book early enough, is amazingly low.
Cons: Some minor repairs need doing like a crack in the wash basin, but we are talking of a busy restaurant/hotel at very low rates, so if you are a perfectionist (and I am not) go to a chain hotel, you will be missing out on a charming experience though.
