the best thing was it was located near malls and restaurants so the trip want that long...the rooms were nice and clean
the parking lot could be a lot bigger and there was no restaurant were you could eat...the lobby was small also
Staff pool rooms is fantastic we thoroughly loved it
Everything was awesome
It was the most incredible spread I've seen outside of a cruise ship! So many things to choose from every day there were different items. The breakfast buffet was wonderful. The bed was comfortable and there were two chairs to sit in. The bathroom was very accommodating with everything very easy to get to. Nice touch with the sliding wooden door.
The doors to the room was very heavy. There was only one entrance and exit to the very heavily traveled highway that was partially blocked by the privacy fence put up on the sidewalk next door for a building renovation that hadn't even begun. The fence was on a curve so you couldn't even see the oncoming traffic and having to turn left was a nightmare. Very dangerous and my husband told the Manager on our last morning there and said he was going to check on it. I hope he does.
The beds, like all Hampton Inns, are great as are the pillows. The AC and wifi worked perfectly. The location is convenient in Buckhead although it's about impossible to make a left turn out of it.
The hotel is terribly understaffed. We arrived at 4:30pm and no room with two beds (what I had reserved and I'm a Diamond Hilton Honors member) was available. It was pouring rain and I parked under the portico in front. I walked out to put the parking pass on the dash while I waited to see if the front desk clerk could find a room for me. The Hampton Inn Shuttle Bus had arrived while I was inside and had honked at my parked car (and parents which were inside it although there was clearly no driver). Rather than pull in front of my car which would have been entirely under the portico, the van driver parked directly next to my car which entirely blocked people from going in or out of the parking lot next to the hotel. When I came out he told me I couldn't park where I had parked (which is the obvious place someone would park upon arrival at the hotel). I explained that the front desk was looking for a room for me and we were just waiting to unload the car. The driver was extremely rude and said I had to move immediately. He said I could park under the hotel. I did as he ordered but quickly discovered that the elevators under the hotel require a room key to access! I did not have a room key yet so couldn't use the elevators but I found a stairwell in the corner of the garage. By the time I got back upstairs the front desk clerk had found a room for me. I explained to him how rude the shuttle driver had been and the fact that he sent me downstairs where a key was required. He explained that he didn't have any control over other employees (hardly a good response) and that they were understaffed. The front desk clerk then said no business was perfect. This is horrendous behavior from any hospitality employee! Both the front desk clerk and the shuttle bus driver seemed to have no hospitality training. The drain in our bathroom didn't drain at all.
The staff was extremely friendly and the rooms were very clean. The breakfast bar had a wide variety of choices and the food was tasty. It is extremely close to the Lenox Square Mall and Phipps Plaza and there were also a variety of restaurants close by. I would stay here again!
There wasn't anything I didnt like. Everything was great! I only wish the room had a bathtub as well, but that's nothing major.
