Very helpful and friendly English speaking staff. They can arrange a tours, or a pickups for you, providing all the guidance and information necessary. Located close to the beach, not far from the mall and various restaurants. Bus terminal and local bus stops are nearby, google maps will help you to navigate within the city. Decent WiFi signal.
We've got the room on the ground floor next to a very busy street, it was a pure "sleeping on the sidewalk" experience, with heavy trucks crossing by all night long.
The staff was great, so were the beds.
!Warning the owner is a fraudster! The owner tried to scam me! My children used the jacuzzi and spilled some water on the floor. The owner (or the wife of the owner) saw it and waited for about an hour before she came to my room wanting to show me the damage that was done by my children. When I went with her to inspect the damage she took me to a room the oposite side of where the jacuzzi is placed and showed me some water damage in the roof of that room. When looking at the damage it was clear that it was the type of damage that takes several months of exposure in order to create. I also toched the damaged area and it was bone dry. She was clearly lying in order to blame me and my family for something that we were not to blame for. Probably in order to get some extra cash from us. I have been traveling for more than ten years living in the best and the worst hotels and hostals, but the treatment I was given by the owner of this hotel was the absolute worst so far! If i could get a refund i would have asked for it. This woman absolutely destroyed our vacation...
The room was decent, close to the bus station and the beach.
The price was high for what you get and I am fed up of trying to argue with the hotel that the commission to booking on their receipt from the website has to be paid by the hotel and not the guests. They finally accepted it as we paid cash but it is dishonest that they try to charge us this.
Gonzales on reception speaks English. Rooftop terrace great views and breakfast
Front rooms close to noisy road Had no hot water last 2 mornings
The roof terrace had nice seating and a view of ugly roof tops and the ocean in the distance. The shower had plenty hot water and the breakfast was good.
The receptionist wasn’t very friendly nor helpful. There is no kitchen to use and you have to pay for laundry service that doesn’t really clean your clothes very well. The paint in the bathroom is falling of the wall. We had a room on the front and slept badly because of the many trucks hitting the bad road in front of the hostal.
