Pros: Wonderful staff, simple, Functional rooms, wonderful views
Cons: Not much. Could have been a bit more decorated with flowers in the garden
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Location for views of the lake from your room balcony and dining area balcony
Cons: Nothing It was excellent
10,0 Excellent
Pros: The staff, service and accommodation was brilliant.
Cons: I wish they can serve more fruits on the table.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Excellent breakfast and stunning lakeside views.
Cons: Mosquitoes-needed to provide plug in repellents
10,0 Excellent
Pros: The hospitality at this hotel is excellent. The staff (family-owners) couldn’t be more pleasant and accommodating. Helpful in every way, giving directions and suggestions whenever requested, making reservations, reserving taxis; every request was met with a smile and compliance. They made our stay delightful! And, the views from this hotel are splendid.
9,6 Excellent
Pros: Everything was perfect. The staff couldn’t have been more helpful or friendly. The room and bathroom were spotless and the bed large and comfortable. We had a terrace with a beautiful lake view. In room tea and coffee making facilities and a good sized fridge. The location was a 20 minutes downhill walk to the lake. We walked it no problem. A shuttle was provided free of charge, twice in the morning and pickup twice in the late afternoon right opposite the ferry, if you don’t want to walk. Breakfast was superb.
Cons: We have nothing negative to say about this Hotel.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: The service, cleanliness and views
Cons: Due to location additional shuttle bus runs would have been helpful
9,2 Excellent
Pros: The staff was extremely friendly and helpful, from the minute of entering into the premises. The views from the hotel are spectacular, rooms are clean and comfortable. The breakfast was one of the best you can find from the hotels in region. It was easy to locate the premises, although situated on the hillside.
Cons: If staying in a room below the top floor, one could hear the water running down from the pipelines.
9,2 Excellent
Pros: The staff are incredibly friendly and helpful. The views of the lake from the hotel are amazing but it is a steep walk down (or back up!). The hotel bus to the bottom of the hill is a nice touch. The rooms are very comfortable and the breakfast is nice. We had an early checkout and were given access to breakfast before the service had started, which was a nice parting gift for us. The dinner service is simple but nice and a good option after a long day out exploring.
9,2 Excellent
Pros: Staff very friendly and helpful
Grand Hotel Tremezzo - Tremezzo - Building
2
9,3 Excellent (886 reviews)
R12 106+
Overview Reviews
Situated in Tremezzina, this luxury hotel is within 1 mi (2 km) of Cadenabbia Ferry Terminal and Villa Carlotta. Villa Melzi and Villa del Balbianello are also within 3 mi (5 km).
10,0 Excellent
Pros: There is no question this is the place to stay at Lake Como. The staff is tremendous (thanks to Ana, Kiko, and David!), the grounds immaculate, the rooms beautiful, the views INCREDIBLE, and everything they have to offer you should do! Pools, food, the boat tour is lovely, lay by the pool-dock in a huge bean-bag, you can’t beat it.
Cons: The road out front - calms down at night but during the day you have to cross.
9,2 Excellent
Pros: Perfect amenities, staff and location:
Cons: There is a constant rose-scent that is effused throughout the hotel. It can be overpowering, however they did their absolute best to minimize it when it became an allergy issue. They really went above and beyond, which was terrific and all you can ask for.
6,7 Good
Pros: The setting, location and classy ambiance’s something that can’t be taken away from this place
Cons: Arrogance of the reception staff. Unfortunately the 100% cost preauthorisation policy from the moment we checked in was a challenging think to negotiate with the staff, after which we agreed to pay the outstanding cost on the second day of our stay. The hotel however went ahead and attempted payment repeatedly without our say so, as the results of which our bank alarmed us with “fraud“ alert payments as we have been charged thousands. If this wasn’t enough, the hotel kept calling us asking to settle the final bill as if not knowing they’ve already charged us several times! Luckily our bank had flagged this to us but the time my partner has spent on sorting the refunds instead of enjoying the time in Lake Como on our last day can’t be returned to us. Definitely not the standard I would expect from a grand hotel and would make sure hotel guests are mindful when it comes to settling costs.
9,6 Excellent
Cons: Gym could have been better equipped
7,1 Good
Pros: Nice quite location except for the busy road in front of the hotel. Hotel amenities very good.
Cons: Very much overpriced for what you get.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: The Breakfast was beyond anything I had ever tasted nor experienced . The food was incredible and truly of great quality and local. So much to choose from.. so much of everything.. and the staff just made it more inviting with their great service and smile... and kindness.
Cons: There is nothing to fault !
9,6 Excellent
Pros: excellent location, close to a ferry stop excellent restaurant, hotel is full of character staff exceptional
Cons: on a busy road very expensive
9,6 Excellent
Pros: The location, the view, the facilities, the staff - the main pool and the gym are especially nice. Everyone was very friendly and helpful with our baby.
Cons: The basic rooms are quite small, the food in the main gourmand restaurant could have been better, everything is quite expensive inside the hotel
6,3 Good
Pros: I’m sure the amenities and all are great
Cons: The pictures advertised for prestige room does not match what we got- which was a like a closet with a bad paint job , rusty furniture ( not in a charming way) and old eighties green marble bathroom - buyer beware For 1000$ We got a horribly small and square room next to a staff room on the first floor - it was horrible and I was so uncomfortable - Staff tried to set us up with a new room but hotel was sold out and gave us a partial refund instead Room 101 should not even be a room at this hotel, it’s small - not like the picture advertised on this website - and not even according to the floor plan they advertise on the hotels own website - it’s next to a staff room and you hear their comings and goings allllll the timeeee Alsooooo we went to drinks after dinner and either the terrace seating area with the live Music is understaffed or the waiters just aren’t up to the task- I had to call a waiter every time I needed something - waited 15 mins to someone to take our order and then had to flag someone down, waited another 10 mins when I wanted another round ( at most of these five star hotels you barely finish your drink before a waiter appears to ask you for another drink) ...
8,3 Excellent
Pros: The hotel was beautiful and staff at front and reception were great.
Cons: Washroom door did not close and the beds and pillows were not comfortable. Also when we asked about buying the back cookies, they said they would send two boxes to our room and didn’t. The room and balcony was small.

Pros: The hotel is the most charming place in Tremezzo. The rooms were beautifully decorated, clean and in a very good condition. The staff was wonderful, very kind and the restauran (we had breakfast and dinner there) was really nice. The view of the restaurant is one of the best in Como!! We will definitely retutn.
Cons: The shower in the bathroom. It's not bad, but it could be more separated so that the water does not go over the tub.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: The super setting, right on the lake front, gorgeous dining area, near ferry, stroll to Villa Carlotta
10,0 Excellent
Pros: La Darsena exceeded our expectations! We had 4 amazing days enjoying Lake Como, the staff provided information about activities and help with all our needs (we travelled with our pet and they cooked for him the best chicken, he loved it :) ). The daily breakfast was superb with the best product quality and the best view (tables are in front of the Lake). Rooms are clean, beautiful and not noisy. The restaurant food is excellent. We can't ask for more... Thanks for an amazing stay!!!

9,6 Excellent
Pros: Everything was perfect!
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Welcoming, clean and friendly
8,3 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful view from the restaurant
Cons: It was too noisy in the rooms because of the busy road. It should be very nice in the rooms at the lake side.
9,6 Excellent
Pros: Location, Landscape, Reataurant, Staff. The dinner in the terrace seems like a scene of a movie. And all plates are so nice! Hotel original green pasta with young garlic is the first experience for me. And so kind assistance to my sightseeing. I want to visit again! Thank you!
Cons: Hot water to the bathtab was so narrow. My room was located the top floor. It might be the reason.
9,2 Excellent
Pros: Perfect stay supported by a very friendly staff. Great restaurant and excellent breakfast, friendly service. Parking available next to the hotel. Room was spacious and spotless.
Cons: A shower in our room instead of a bath, would have been even better!
10,0 Excellent
Pros: The hotel is on the lake in Tremezzo & an easy boat ride to Bellagio. It has a very good restaurant. The breakfast was excellent especially sitting on the balcony.
Cons: We had a loft room without a window. They were kind enough to change it for a room with a window facing the road & this proved very noisy. Best rooms are on the first floor facing the lake.
8,3 Excellent
Pros: Superb location with parking very near. Staff extremely helpful and friendly.
8,0 Excellent
Pros: Excellent staff offering great service. Wonderful stay by the lakeside with breathtaking views.
7,7 Good

Pros: The hotel was perfect, small, beautifully located on Lake Como, a superb restaurant lake view restaurant, adjacent parking, very friendly staff, large comfortable rooms with an incredible view of the lake. Cons:
6,0 Good
Pros: Good location for Ferry and Buses
Cons:
8,0 Excellent
Pros: Everything, the staff, room, breakfast, and the restaurant was first class, we had a meal on our wedding anniversary at the restaurant over looking the lake, it was perfect. we wish we had eaten in the hotel restaurant more than we did as we went to a "touristy" restaurant that was expensive and the food was awful.
Cons: only the position of our room .....it overlooked the main road to Como, so was a bt noisy. next time we will book a room with a lake view.
6,8 Good
Pros: Staff excellent, food good, room modern and well appointed.
Cons: Lakeside rooms Ok. Roadside rooms - same quality but noisy. (like most hotels along the lake)

Room & the rest of the hotel was very clean, tidy and homely
Cons: At the time of travel is was quite hot (28 degrees C) the room didn't have air conditioning and was very hot at night. there was a ceiling fan which helped - without this it would have been terrible! Featured amenities include a computer station, express check-in, and express check-out. A roundtrip airport shuttle is provided for a surcharge (available on request), and free self parking is available onsite.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Very good breakfast. It was also very helpful to have the facility for a snack at lunchtime, though the recommendations for dining in the vicinity were also very good. We especially liked the food and ambience at the Trattoria at the very top of the hill, above the Villa opposite the church of San Rocco--I don't remember the name; you do have to be quite fit if you are walking there!). The location is superb: being on the greenway made walks into the village and along to Lenno or up the mountain very easy and attractive. The free bus in the evening to Mennagio or Lenno was also excellent. It is therefore very easy to be here without a car (and I recommend the Milan airports taxi service for tis reliability!). The staff at the hotel could not be more helpful, and the pool was never over-crowded. We all agreed (my husband and I, and our student-age daughter and her boyfriend) that we would love to come again. Bellagio and Varenna are, of course, wonderful, but the Villa Carlotta in Tremezzo also exceeded our expectations, and even beat Bellagio in our competition for the loveliest villa and gardens! The mini-golf course in Mennagio was also a hit--open all night, apparently: you really do need to allow at least two hours to get around it!
Cons: Watch out for mosquitos by the pool and anywhere outside from 6pm onwards! If it were possible to have food in the evening, that would be great, but the availability of meals to suit every budget in the vicinity means that this is not really a problem.
8,8 Excellent
Pros: A quiet beautiful location laid a little aside, very clean large rooms.
Cons: Our room should have a patio or terrace, but most likely it can be called a sitting area.
8,3 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful and peaceful location. Friendly and informative staff
Cons: Ideally breakfast could go on a bit later until say 10.30?
6,7 Good
Pros: Breakfast was fine as was the location. Parking was also very good and the other facilities looked good.
Cons: The room was very hot and the only way to cool it was to switch on a large ceiling fan. This was fine until you wanted to sleep but the fan was very noisy and kept us awake. There was also no fridge in the room. and the bathroom was quite cramped. The utility room for the cleaning staff was next to our bedroom and on both mornings there was much banging and noise as staff went about their duties around 06.30hrs. So, both nights we slept badly. During our 2 week tour of northern Italy we stayed in 6 different hotels/albergos, Villa Edy, at 142 euros a night, was far the most expensive even more so than the excellent 4 star Lido Palace on Lake Maggiori at 124 euros a night.
8,8 Excellent
Pros: Lovely setting on Lake Como. It was nice to have breakfast sitting out on the terrace in the morning and for an evening drink. Friendly and helpful staff.
9,6 Excellent
Pros: Location, facilities and friendliness of staff
Cons: Nothing
9,6 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful location and very friendly staff
Cons: Twin beds which moved all night
9,2 Excellent
Pros: a quiet place, friendly staff, breakfast on the terrace
Cons: no refrigerator in the room
8,3 Excellent
Pros: Nice location.
Cons: Not all of the staff is not really child friendly, and we sensed some racist undertones. The pool closes already at around 6 pm, which is too early if you return from a day-trip and look forward to cool down.

Cons: That the room advertised on line which I booked was not provided and I had to pay extra to have my room changed to the the one I originally booked.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: close to ferry and good restaurants
6,7 Good
Pros: Location and staff helped me book a private tour
Cons: You could hear into the other rooms- closing doors, people walking/talking. The clientele are most retirees on bus tours
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Fabulous breakfast! Fabulous and very helpful staff.
7,1 Good
Pros: Location Good size room
Cons: Poor pool area and the lift was broken for 6 of the 7 days we stayed and I had a damaged knee that made the experience of getting to and from room uncomfortable and traumatic. The shower screen was broken making showering very difficult. Staff were told but nothing was done. Shower also kept changing from hot to cold.
7,5 Good
Pros: amazing view from the balcony (floor 6), good location, Villa carlota near the hotel (0.3 miles away).
Cons: no washing dispensers inside the shower.
8,3 Excellent
Pros: For anyone travelling to Lake Como, which can be relatively expensive and also confusing as to which location to choose, this is a great choice. The hotel is extremely good value for money, modern & clean by Italian standards; that's not meant to be derogatory, like a lot of traditional European tourist centres & cities, accommodation can be dated & small, particularly if you're American (I'm British by the way!!). Perfectly located to explore the nearby towns of Lenno, Bellagio, Verenna & Menaggio via the ferry boats. Whilst not a particularly built up area, there are sufficient bars & quality restaurants in walking distance to occupy a long weekend. A perfect choice for those wanting experience arguably Italy's jewel in the crown at a very good price; and I put emphasis on the value for money, not "cheapness". A genuinely great find and my destination of choice for visiting Lago di Como.
Cons: Not much not to like, but need an upgrade to the lift / elevator. Minor point but occasionally frustrating long waits.
9,2 Excellent
Pros: I liked location, staff was friendly and food was ok.
Cons: Food menu can be improved
10,0 Excellent
Pros: For us as a family, the location was perfect. Boats and ferry services on the doorstep to access any part of the lake. Local restaurants are lovely and a great wine bar in very close proximity. The breakfast at the hotel was plentiful with lots of choice. The views are just stunning! Hence this being our 3rd stay at the Hotel Bazzoni!
Cons: Everything was perfect for us!

Pros: Very happy with the continental breakfast served..staff lovely and nothing too much trouble during our stay..we were made to feel very welcome..excellent.value for money for a hotel with lake views.
Cons: Room size great with lake views..bathroom a little small..would have preferred a walk in shower
9,2 Excellent
Pros: Great breakfast and lake views. The amenities are a bit old, but ok. We regretted the lack of a second chair to enjoy the view from the window.
Cons: Sometimes beetles fly trough the window at night and can wake you up.
9,2 Excellent
Pros: We had an incredible stay at Hotel Ristorante Azalea! Giulio and his team took such great care of us and made us feel incredibly special during our stay! We had an incredible view from our room and really enjoyed our dinners out on the lake each evening while eating some of the best pizza and pasta we have ever tasted! The service was fantastic too! We would love to come back! The location is unbeatable and I would highly recommend staying here!
Cons: Some people may not be happy with the small shower we had in our room but we didn’t have a problem with this at all! The property met all our needs and was perfect for our weekend stay!
4,2 Okay
Pros: Staff is polite but struggled to speak English. Good view of Lake Como.
Cons: Room is extremely tiny and bathroom very very small. We could not find space to stand in the bathroom and we left the room without taking shower. Breakfast has very minimal options and surprisingly there is no bread. They made a croissant which got burnt and staff used sugar powder to cover it up. There is no elevator and there are no lights on the staircase. The switch to lights is in ground floor so if you are getting down from upper floors, use your mobile torch. Overall very poor experience in this hotel. Not worth the money.
