Breakfast on the sea , sea view from the room
A bit far away from center , no restaurant nearby
Very friendly helpful staff, lovely breakfast on the terrace overlooking the sea/beach (depending on whether the tide is in or out). Free kayaks and beach games to borrow. We didn't have an evening meal there but that also looked very good. You can reach the beach directly from the hotel terrace. Nice if you want to get away from the main busy beach drag. Really enjoyed having a glass of rosé on the terrace overlooking the beach. There is also one little local shop, bar and church.
We decided to splash out and get a room with a balcony overlooking the beach. Given it was pretty expensive, it was disappointing to realise that this hardly got any sun at all, partly because it's north-facing (as most properties will be here, I realise) but also because the building is particularly tall with an overhang at the top (the balcony rooms are the first floor) and there are also thick wooden divider walls between neighbouring balconies that haven't been well designed (very tall and deep) and also block out all light from the side. Similarly the main terrace itself was in darkness a good part of the day although there were usually sections in the sunshine. To me the hotel also felt quite different from the photos. It's much more intimate – it feels more family-run/intimate and less of a classy slick establishment. Still completely professional and lovely. But just rather than different from the expectations we had. If you want to be in town, this is a little further away (and the other side from the station) but it's only about a 10-minute walk and very peaceful. Once expectations were adjusted, we really enjoyed our stay.
Location location location with the best hotel stsff in France. Need any more be said???
We enjoyed the magnificent sunset from the terrace, with a glass of sparkling wine. From the terrace we could directly step down to the beach
Great location and very friendly staff.
The parking lot is not enough for all the hotel customers.
