Hospitality and staff being helpful and welcoming
Cold breakfast and for one night no hot water for shower
The staff in the reception was friendly and helpful. The laundry service is good and quick.
The facility is poorly maintened. They offer turkish bads with massages in the underground and the staff there was permanently smoking, so the whole lobby and upper floors were smelly. Although the location is good to visit Kaleici, the immediate surroundings of the hotel were ugly and dirty. The breakfast was very poor :((
The hotel's staff at the reception and in the canteen tried to do their best but overall the hotel is a disappointment.
-WiFi was only working in the lobby, not in the room during our 4 night stay. -The sauna and hammam were unhygienic. Looked like a brothel. The staff of the sauna/hammam smoked inside and there were dirty towels lying around. There was no separate changing rooms for men and women. We suspect that the staff of the sauna/hammam also provide sexual services considering the setting and the dodgy atmosphere inside. - Artificial juices taste disgustingly at the breakfast. -The cleaning stuff would not fill up soaps, shampoos. You always need to ask yourself. -We were 3 people in the triple room. Only 2 glasses and 2 slippers.
The location is great. Very close to the marina and kaleci old city! Also it is a 20 min walk to Ataturk park at Konyaaltı! The staff was really kind and helpful. Many thanks to Mr.Burakcan demirkaya,mr.Arif sakir kök, mr.Isiksel demirci, and mrs.Fahriye gün . Best staff and best service we have ever had! They helped us alot even with our trips, bus station names, metro routes , taxis, early check in .. Free coffee also is available 24 hrs at the lobby. Free sauna for hotel residents.
Breakfast: no diversity
the only good thing I can say about this hotel was the lady who was in charge of the reception in the morning shift. She was very helpful giving me directions of how to find the bus station.
One of the thing I like from Turkey is the hospitality in hotels, unfortunately I didn't see any in this particular hotel. Usually when you arrive to any hotel in Turkey there is someone to take you to your room and indicates you about the facilities, breakfast time, etc ....well, I was very surprise that when I arrived to the reception I was given the room key and basically I have to find the room by myself (although there were two young men in the reception desk). My room was freezing (I traveled in December), I tried to put the heating on but the thermostat didn't work, I thought I could handled it without heating but I couldn't sleep as the cold was unbearable so I went to reception around 2am and told the guy that the heating in my room wasn't working and he said "I can fix it from here" he then turned the heating on directly from reception which made me think that the heating is controlled from reception directly and not from the room, now if they knew I was coming why they didn't set the heating up before my arrival or even when I was already there?. The bathroom has lots of mold in the sink area, it was very disgusting to wash my hands there or brush my teeth. No coffee or tea in the room (usually you will have that in pretty much all hotels in Turkey). No complimentary water ( they charge for the water bottles which is usually free in most, I would say all hotels in turkey) and they charge you 2 turkish liras which the normal price is 1 turkish liras. Breakfast was poor (not many choices to select and the bread was hard like a rock). The area is a bit doggy. To be honest you can find better hotels for the same price in Antalya, this one was very disappointed.
