9,2 Excellent (290 reviews)
R1 906+
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Fantastic accommodation. Very central. Parking is available just a short walk away but worth the slight inconvenience to be so centrally located. The accommodation was really beautiful and the breakfast fantastic. Couldnt fault it.
9,6 Excellent
Pros: Kind, friendly, approachable staff. delicious breakfast that was enough for breakfast and dinner even for person who eats a lot. Great localization. Clean. Comfortable.
7,1 Good
Pros: Nice location, center of the city. The room is large and comfy. Breakfast was ok.
Cons: Bathroom is separated from the main room by the stairs. The room is located on the backyard of the house.
7,1 Good
Pros: Good breakfast!
Cons: Parking! Flexibility
9,6 Excellent
Pros: Location in the centre of Amersfoort, a very interesting and lively town. The design of the studio was modern. The good breakfast was brought to our room every day at our chosen time. Our host was helpful and friendly. We enjoyed a day in Amsterdam which was a short train journey away. We were directed to free parking a 10 minute walk away which was fine. The Jazz Festival was an added bonus!
Cons: A couple of dishes for the oven would have been useful.
9,2 Excellent
Pros: Right in the centre. Easy to get to parking. Well designed. Super host. The breakfast was exceptionally good. Delivered by Boris a very fine host.
Cons: Windows don’t open.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Everything was good and pleasant ! See guestbook ,!
Cons: nothing.
9,2 Excellent
Pros: Property is full of character, great location and in a charming part of the old town. Nespresso coffee machine, stocked fridge and TV with DVD Player and collection of movies. Short walk to the town square with a range of bars and restaurants. Loved Amersfoort, lovely town with lots of character, amenities and shops. Breakfast was great.
Cons: Open plan toilet is a bit lacking it terms of basic privacy; bring matches! Front door opens directly onto street and can be a little noisy from the occasional moped; quiet otherwise. We hadn't realised that our room did not have access to the garden which was a bit of a disappointment as it looked great on the photos.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: It was our second stay and it was perfect again - We enjoyed it!
10,0 Excellent
Pros: The host was amazing, true gentelman
Cons: Nothing
B&B Vita Nova - Amersfoort - Bar

9,2 Excellent (134 reviews)
R1 451+
Overview Reviews
With a stay at this houseboat in Amersfoort, you'll be within a 15-minute drive of Pyramid of Austerlitz and Mannenzaal St Peters and Block Lands Hospital. Guests will find features like a car charging station.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: great host, great breakfast, tiny but clean and comfortable room.
9,2 Excellent
Pros: Given that it's on a boat, the bathroom (particularly the shower) was much larger and nicer than I expected. The bed was also a good size, and comfortable too. It works as a home base to go exploring or as a cave of solitude. I used it for both. The owners are very friendly, helpful and accommodating. Good location, close to the train station and right next to the old town. Would definitely stay again.
Cons: The only real storage space in the room itself is under the bed, but given that it's on a boat, that's only to be expected. There's enough to fit two full sized bags under there, if you're carrying that much.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: It was eco and vegan/vegetarian friendly. Is was beautifully decorated.
Cons: Small bedrooms
7,9 Good
Pros: A great experience sleeping on a barge boat, comfortable bed and warm welcome with complimentary coffees from the hostess. Great location, near shops and easy quick access to the old town centre.
Cons: A couple of extra shelves or hooks would be a nice addition especially for the person sleeping next to the wall as no where to put my watch, book or glasses!
8,3 Excellent
Pros: Very nice hosts, very authentic
8,3 Excellent
Pros: Elena is very professional and kind. The place is clean and homey, I think it must be nice even in winter
Cons: The rooms are rather small, but actually very comfortable. Big bed, big shower.
9,2 Excellent
Pros: If you are looking for a unique stay, this is the place. Elene and her husband have created a cosy little floating haven in Amersfoort. Everything from the room and breakfast to the decoration is done with a thoughtful touch. I will be sure to come again. Thanks for the stay!
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Perfect Location, nice and friendly host, beautiful ship with a great atmosphere, really good breakfast. We have been there on August 23rd. 2019 with 8 friends and booked this Hotel as a stop over during a bicycle trip.
Cons: Nothing !!!!!!!!!
9,6 Excellent
Pros: The location was perfect, and the hosts were very nice. Booked on an emergency, i felt sorry that i did not saw it before so i could stay there my whole stay in Amersfoort. If one day i return, this will be my option. Thank you one more time from Portugal! :)
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Amazing service, very welcoming. The location was great, on the water a quick walk from the city center. The room was spotlessly clean, of course small, but even more comfortable than I expected.

Pros: Perfect location for the city.
Cons: Only the WiFi didn’t work some of the time so that was the only real downside. Would have been nice to have a hair dryer as well.
8,3 Excellent
Pros: Staff very friendly, location superb, with bike storage facility in back yard.
Cons: Not all rooms en-suite, and the heatwave ensured an uncomfortable high temp in room despite fans.

9,2 Excellent
Pros: Great spot in the historic centre of Amersfoort. All the staff members are incredibly friendly and do everything to make you feel at home. And I did 100%! The bar and terrace are great to relax, meet with friends or do some work. The room is furnished with taste. Had a great view on the square with all the restaurants and terraces. I was here because of work and will definitely chose this place again when I come back.
Cons: The building is well maintained but pretty noisy. My room was next to the shared toilet, which is not ideal at night with the opening and closing of the door.
9,6 Excellent
Pros: Great welcome. Comfortable and spacious room with view over lively city centre square. Clean and good value. I’d certainly go back. Ask for a room at the back if you’re a light sleeper.
9,6 Excellent
Pros: Really friendly staff. Small but decent room. The location is slap bang in the main square. You get a free drink in the pub. And the burgers are INCREDIBLE.
9,2 Excellent
Pros: We had the suite, which was enormous and very quiet. We didn't have breakfast, but it looked good. The staff were really friendly and helpful.
7,9 Good
Pros: Great location centre city. Shared toilet turned out to be very clean and no nuisance at all. Did we really share? The hotel was totally booked so probably, but it wasn’t noticeable. Nice bar beneath with live sports, good breakfast charming outdoors and nice staff. I recommend the place an would go back myself.
Cons: Toilet outside the room, even-though it turned out not to be a nuisance at all.

10,0 Excellent
Pros: Everyting was perfekt
8,8 Excellent
Pros: I chose this hotel since it was close to the Volvo dealership where I had some business. It's not the central area of Amersfoort, yet the surroundings are ok. The room is really spacious and it provides great comfort for sleeping. The mattress and the pillows were excellent. They also have blackout shades for the windows. Nearby there are several supermarkets and a small shopping center.
Cons: While the accommodation was nice, the price was also quite high, so I would rate the value for money as average.
9,6 Excellent
Pros: Room was clean, central location, bed was comfortable & good shower facilities
Cons: Bathroom had run out of hand wash, there was one bath towel (two people staying) and although we had booked for breakfast at reception, it wasn’t on the list at breakfast. None of these things were problems, just little niggles.

Pros: Very comfortable beds, nice and clean room! We are happy to come back here again!

Cons: We needed to iron our clothes and we got a ironing set that was so dirty, I recommend to wash the linen ocassionally on the iron table. We putted the sign do not disturb cause we wanted to sleep longer that first day after a travel, but the cleaners were a bit loud calling each other and talking at the hall, that you had a feeling they are in the room.

Pros: Location was great, silence and comfort.

Pros: A quite nice cute place. For less money and much comfort. As I am again in this area, I would be stay there again. Thank you.
6,7 Good
Pros: The surroundings (excellent for jogging) The staff is nice
Cons: The lack of air condition or even ventilation makes the rooms unbearably hot especially in the summer time. The only option is to open the windows but then you have to take the noise from the restaurant terrace. These factors made it impossible to sleep (and since it was a business trip, sleep means everything in the hotel...) The food in the restaurant is not brilliant (breakfast is OK but the diner not really)
4,6 Okay
Pros: The room is big, and the personal is kind.
Cons: The beds was the worst, very soft, imposible sleep there. Very very uncomfortable.... The food was very expensive and very bad. And the pets are welcome but with a extra cost of 15€ for night and dog, not so welcome then..... is my worst night in a hotel... for the bed.
7,5 Good
Pros: Peaceful and quiet
Cons: Perfect place to unwind

9,2 Excellent
Pros: Good location
10,0 Excellent
Pros: The hotel is excellently located in the centre of Amersfoort's main square. This is a lively square surrounded by restaurants and bars. The square fills with diners and the revellers late into the early hours, but once you've retired you can still sleep soundly with the excellent sound proved windows. The hotel provided a kettle and various teas and coffee in the room and it was nice to be able to wake up in the morning and make tea/coffee before leaving the room. There was also a mini fridge provided, which was great for keeping snacks in the room.
Cons: Nothing
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Wonderful bed, room small but everything perfect. Bathroom was new and very clean with endless hot water for my showers. Staff went beyond my expectations in welcoming me. They were incredibly welcoming and helpful. My suitcase was carried to the room. They called taxis and oriented me to the town. I was given extra of whatever I needed in the room or for breakfast. Every morning I enjoyed my cappuccino at a table in the plaza just outside the restaurant. On several weekend days there were enormous flower markets setting up. The medieval clock tower pealed while I enjoyed breakfast and admired the flowers. I was in Heaven!
8,3 Excellent
Pros: Mini-fridge in room, kettle, recently renovated bathroom, comfortable bed, terrific location right on large square with many cafés and restaurants and flower market on Friday mornings, air conditioning
Cons: Walls could use a fresh coat of paint, but otherwise rooms are fine.

Cons: I don’t like how hot the room was during summer
9,2 Excellent
Pros: Everything else.
Cons: We came in the Netherlands in the middle of a heatwave. Since there was no aircon, an electric fan in the room would have helped. Also, I asked for an extra pillow and they didn't have any.
