Unreliable flight schedules and bad Customer Service
Cons: Amazonas canceled our flight and re-booked us on a flight 2 days later. It was impossible for us to take that other flight because we would miss you final flight back to the states. They were not helpful at all and did not give us a refund.
Pros: It was a short flight
Cons: It was super hot on the plan, the AC wasn’t working
Cons: super delayed
Pros: este vuelo estuvo bien
What a bad experience
Cons: 2 bad flights with this company in only 3 days. The flight Asuncion SantaCruz arrived with 7 hours delay because of a technicsl problem (it was a 90 minutes flight) The flight Santa Cruz to Asuncion took off and when back after 1 hour flight because of crash window in the cockpit. I think this is not a matter of bad luck but a problem of lack of respect of maintenance procedure... Wont fly with them ever again.
Confusion and discomfort
Pros: The crew is always very polite.
Cons: My ticket said Gate 8. When I went to Gate 8, it stairway walking down was closed off, so I went to the info screens. It said Gate 5--no big deal, so I just waited there. And waited. I double checked the screens, waiting. Finally it was about 15 minutes to takeoff and few people are there. I run back to Gate 8 (despite the monitors), and almost everyone is boarding. Their planes are so damn hot for the first 30 to 45 minutes. They make no effort to keep them cool before boarding, and since they never have more than two bottles of water for the cabin, you can't even but any.
Pros: The woman at the check in counter was amazing. She saved us from missing our connecting flight. Unfortunately, the boarding process was horrible and took a very long time.
Pros: The crew were very kind and the connection time was fantastic
Cons: They don't offer any food, despite the fact that it's an international flight
Recent Travel Experience

BE CAREFULL ON WEB CHECKIN

Pros: Check in was smooth. Staff were very friendly and helpful
Cons: Entertainment was only available in Spanish
Pros: Very good attention at the airport and during the flight. Very professional. The beverages were good.
Cons: That we did not receive at least a sandwich during the flight.
Pros: Flight departed early!
Pros: Good personalized attention. Very good puncutality.
Cons: They did not even serve a sandwich or a little cup-cake together with the non-alcoholic berages on the plane.
fast friendly efficient
Pros: departed on time great crew
Cons: baggage weight limit low for international flight
Amazonia needs more work
Pros: made it there safely
Cons: The booking agency increased the price of the ticket 36hrs after i order my ticket. After wasting 2 hours with VAYANA on the phone calling internationally, they agreed to deduct 50% on the additional increase. Which is not fair considering we book the ticket and never got an official notice within the 24hr window.
On board Amaszonas flights, cabin baggage should not exceed 45x40x20cm. If your hand luggage is bigger, the Amaszonas assistance team will most likely ask you to pay extra for checked luggage.

Controlling operations from a hub in La Paz, Amaszonas is one of only five commercial Bolivian airlines. Short-distance domestic routes are available to 10 locations across Bolivia, providing a vital network for both tourists and locals. International services are also available throughout South America. Among the countries linked are Paraguay, Uruguay, Argentina, Chile, and Peru.
Connected subsidiaries Amaszonas Paraguay and Amaszonas Uruguay assist in delivering flights. Interline partnerships are held with Air Europa, GOL Airlines, and Hahn Air. These affiliations increase the number of connections available to customers traveling internationally. A wider range of departure times is also offered.
A combination of Bombardier and de Havilland aircraft are flown by Amaszonas. Models, such as the Bombardier CRJ200, have turbofan engines, while the de Havilland aircraft are powered by turboprop engines. The planes have varying capacities, with most holding roughly 50 passengers. Due to the relatively small occupancy levels, boarding and disembarking processes at the airport are quick. You can sit back and relax in peace as the CRJ200 series are considered to be some of the quietest airliners in the world.
Economy is the only cabin class available, with leather padded seats that provide maximal comfort. The weight of hand luggage is capped at 5 kg (approximately 11 lb), with an additional 20 kg (approximately 44 lb) of checked baggage also complementary with each ticket.
