Pros: This recently renovated motel was an absolute gem with that nostalgic Rte. 66 feeling. The owner, Kay, is the best and works very hard for her guests. Breakfast was simple but just right. Highly recommend this motel.

Pros: The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. The facility and rooms were very clean and well equipped - w/ a fridge & microwave. Bed and pillows were very comfortable. The location is very central and easy to access.

Pros: The hotel is very clean, the amenities are good, the staff is awesome! The beds are comfortable and clean. Breakfast was good too, waffles, soft boiled eggs, fruit, toast, pastries, cereal, juice and coffee. I wish all hotels were like this.

Cons: The fridge is small, I wish it were a size bigger, the shower head is awful, I didn't feel like my hair was really clean after the shower due to the fact the pressure wasn't strong for my long kinda thick hair.

Pros: Overall, the Sandia Peak Inn is well maintained and clean. Very nice attention to decorative detail on the grounds made this a more unique environment than many of the run-of-the-mill hotel chains out there. Concierge lady working there was friendly.

Cons: The location on Central Avenue with constant traffic noise all day and into the wee hours of the night.

Cons: Dirty, midnight 12:15 AM raid of hotel room beneath mine By six police vehicles and officers and everyone screaming.

Cons: The place looks scatchy and unsafe. It was totally different to what we expected. We saw a lot of weird guys outside the rooms, and there's no gate to protect the area. We tried to cancel the booking but we couldn't and the staff's attitude was not very good either.

Pros: The staff was very friendly! Even the coffee was great! I requested a non-smoking room, but we still got a smoking room that smelled so bad my nostrils burned. I called the front desk, and they were aware that I had requested that, but didn’t have anymore non-smoking rooms. They apologized, but I think a discount should’ve been applied since it wasn’t what I paid for and they said the manager was aware of that. Also, the price was nearly $350 for 2 nights due to the balloon festival causing every hotel to be sold out. The location is right by I-25 and I-40, so it’s very convenient. However, the highway is really loud, of course. I had ear plugs, which helped a ton. This isn’t a hotel that provides bottled waters in the rooms. So bring your own. They have a vending machine, but it was out of bottled water. Overall, I was very impressed by the customer service of the staff and the cleanliness of the room.

Cons: I’m not sure why the non-smoking room we requested and paid for was given away, if it was supposed to be held for us. But, we were glad to have at least found an available room in town when all others were sold out.

Pros: The staff deserves a better motel. They moved me into a better room immediately. I think very highly of all of them. They are friendly, eager to please and pleasant to be around.

Cons: The place is old and it has certain odors. It's in the carpet, drapes and walls... There is mold on the bottom of the shower ledge that encompasses the entire shower. Get on your knees and look. I am allergic to mold.

Pros: The bed was so comfortable and the pillows were great. It had all the amenities I needed at a great price. The staff was very friendly and the continent al breakfast was great.

Cons: Carpets do need a shampooing, no closet space rooms were kind of small. Getting in and out I parking was a hassle. Because of the way the road is. Have to make a big u turn if coming from the North.

Pros: They had yogurt for breakfast, that's about all we liked there. We can bring our own yogurt next time and not stay at this place.

Cons: It was dirty around the hotel. The hotel room could have been cleaner. The parking was not good. It was very loud with people arguing. The location was close to the street. One night we heard a motorcycle on Carlisle right outside shooting a gun and then a cop in hot pursuit. The bed was very uncomfortable. Either our stay there was just a bad time to be there or it's just the way it is there.

Cons: Shortly after check in, I was approached in the parking lot by a man claiming to have ran out of gas who offered to sell me drugs. The next morning I was walking my dogs, there were multiple police cars and police officers present. They left and once gone the man from the night before, accompanied by 2 other men who were dressed in grungy clothing. They were digging through bushes/shrubs and laughing how lucky they were that the police had been unable to find anything. We packed amd I checked out immediately.

Pros: Although it was on the cheaper side, this hotel was surprisingly clean and stay-able.

Cons: The hotel was in a sketchy area, but conveniently located next to the highway.

Pros: It was a bit hard to navigate at first...but after the first time it was easy to find. Place was comfortable with all the amenities we required for an overnight stay....laundry facilities always handy

Pros: People were screaming all night in the next room. Hotel premises was extremely dirty. The whole place was a run down crap-hole and Wyndham should be embarrassed !

Cons: Carpeting near the sink was wet, so I kept my shoes on.

Pros: Won’t fault desk staff for state of the property. Plumbing should have condemned room to nothing more than storage. An outlet didn’t work. The TV remote batteries were drained & The breakfast was the best thing the hotel had going for it, other than the front desk staff who were very helpful. I know they unfortunately are employees at a property in dire need of a serious renovation. It would actually be depressing to have to daily work at such a place.

Cons: Toilet didn’t flush. Sink didn’t drain. TV remote didn’t work, dead batteries & though requested replacements, never received. Ants in bathroom. Electrical outlet didn’t work. And they actually rented this room! I should have been payed to stay there!

I think room next door was prostitutes working all night. Men coming & going. Cigarette burns in bed spread. Heater didn’t work. I’ll stop here but could list more issues. Floor “wood” broken/tripping hazard. Etc etc

Pros: It was quiet and adequate. It was basically clean. I was glad a room was available as I had not planned to stay in Albuquerque, but due to delayed flight I didn’t feel safe driving home.

Cons: No blanket on the bed. Air conditioning unit knob was broken off so was very hard to adjust. Toilet tank lid was cracked which didn’t affect function, but looks dirty and unkempt. Price was very inflated due to balloon fiesta. I paid this price for 8 hours of stay.

Cons: The office and The laundry Room were filthy, the Room was filthy, the air conditioning unit in our Room had a top part that was full of cigarette butts, flies and various objects, the entire Room smelled disgusting of cigarette, people outside were homeless or prostitutes and were outside all night yelling and making noise, the people upstairs were running around all night, the sheets and toilet seat all had cigarette burns on them, the floor looked like it hadn't been cleaned in months, and under the bed were cigarette butts and syringe caps. My husband and I were exhausted so we didn't have a choice but to stay there bcz everything else was booked. We hardly slept bcz we were scared to even fall asleep. The laundry room was beyond filthy and had trash all over the floor. This same review will also go to motel 6 corporate office bcz I want a refund.

Pros: My husband and I and friends came to look at places to live in Albuquerque. We had planned the trip months in advance but had no idea the weekend we chose was the same weekend a famous balloon festival was going on. This is the only hotel we found that didn’t severely jack up their prices for the balloon festival. Sure it wasn’t a 4 star hotel but it accommodated our needs as a place to sleep and we are appreciative that they had very reasonable prices!

Cons: I would recommend investing in more mini fridges in the rooms. Ours didn’t have one and we were never able to find the ice machine. Other than this, everything was adequate.

Pros: Cheap and located across the street from Casino of the Downs and the weekend flea market. Place to lay my head and shower secured by a magnetic card key. Slept pretty well, and it was quiet overall. Very friendly staff willing to help, and I am sure they could have addressed some of the issues had I stayed longer than a night.

Cons: Not as good of value as I thought, and I saw where the cost savings came from throughout the experience. Taxes and fees bump up the out-of-pocket expense by around 20%. Room rate should be lower, but perhaps I was paying for proximity to several venues with a motel that performs its job—minimally. Normally, even with staff assistance, I had to insert the key between 5-25 times and perform some voodoo magic in order to get the access green light to re-enter my room. Secure, but maybe too secure. Very bare-bones space inside that needs some construction work in the bathroom. Bathroom fan gets the job done but is very noisy. There is one temperature for the shower—warm enough but only just—and it must be piped in at that temperature. The shower flow is pretty weak, but it got the job done. Heat appears to be centrally controlled. Just warm enough in the evening to be comfortable when covered by sheets and blanket. In the morning, temp seems to progressively decrease and become somewhat chilly inside. Anyway, I could not find any thermostat. Whenever I decided to try my luck with the door again by going out for a cigarette, I would usually be asked by some of the people on the street if I could spare one. Location popular among the street people too, I guess.
