8,0 Excellent
Pros: We stay in this hotel every time we are in Guadalajara. We participate in a week long senior golf tournament in GCC every year and this hotel is very close to the club. So the location is perfect for us. The staff is very friendly and very helpful. We had an issue with the loud music in a room above us. Hotel staff and security dealt with this issue promptly and effectively. There are many good restaurants near by and outstanding mall Andares is not far away!
Cons: This time we booked junior suite, which was in fact a mistake. The junior suites are located in the corners of the building and even though the sitting area provides an extra space, we could not use it very much becasuse the wall opposite to the sitting area is a glass wall. If we wanted to watch TV we had to stay in bed anyway. So the regular room is just fine even for a longer stay.
8,8 Excellent
Cons: Billed wrong
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Great Luxury hotel, great location, clean, modern, confortable beds and great breakfast.
Cons: The payment process was confusing. I gave my debit card at check-in and at check-out, I have to pay 5% of the deposit to get the money back. If I knew that I would have given a credit card instead of a debit card.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Very high level of attention and professionalism. Excellent spread of food selection in the restaurant. Great area for local shops and boutique restaurants.
2,0 Mediocre
Pros: Good location
Cons: The room was derty. I call for review if that can do something. Nobody make aniting. No recommended
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Awesome service. The concierges we interacted with are all lovely people. The bar was great, the al pastor tacos were amazing. The room was super clean and comfortable. The area where the hotel is located is full of nice bars and restaurants. There's a mini mall next to it with a movie theater as well. The breakfast and dinner dishes we tried were delicious. The internet speed was very decent.
8,5 Excellent
Pros: Service is amazing. Super helpful and polite staff.
Cons: Noisy. Hallways are like people are in your room. Doors slamming. Very loud.
9,0 Excellent
Pros: The áreas
Cons: The room
8,0 Excellent
Pros: The room was great, location was great, staff was very attentive, price was reasonable.
Cons: The rooms have very little sound proofing. Almost every sound outside my room was clearly audible from light switches to snoring to people talking far down the hall outside their rooms. I also was disappointed in the restaurant offerings in the hotel. I found no decent breakfast available.

Pros: The Staff was very accommodating and helpful. Their dining room was closed at 5 PM on New Year's eve, our 3rd year there for NYE, but they kept our champagne chilled for us for Happy Hour before walking to another Hotel for a little supper, and for us to welcome in the New Year on their wonderful rooftop lounge. The night staff turned on the lights up there for us. and Miguel Angel was excellent in greeting us and getting taxi's etc.
Cons: Very chilly. Need heaters up on the roof top lounge, or warm wraps or blankets up there.

10,0 Excellent
Pros: I've stayed here many times and this hotel just works. Great rooms, great central location, and lovely (although unheated) pool and pool area with bar. Regularly scheduled events (including live mariachis on Wednesdays) every night in the lobby bar. Best breakfast buffet I've ever had anywhere in the world. Very reasonably priced if you're coming from the US or Canada. I would never stay anywhere else in Guadalajara.
8,0 Excellent
Pros: Comfortable room
Cons: The hotel did not provide currency exchange services
8,5 Excellent
Pros: Overall stay was good, rooms nice comfortable and quiet.
Cons: HVAC either was on full or had to turn off, not responsive to adjustments on the control.
9,7 Excellent
Pros: This is a great place that is always very busy for a reason. Great breakfast buffet, friendly staff, and a nice courtesy lounge with free snacks and drinks for when you are in a rush and need something on the way out..or just want to enjoy a beer before heading to your room/pool.
Cons: I'm not sure what happened with my room this time, but the pillows were completely awful. I was in a room with 2 double beds and all of them were no good. Later in the week when I moved rooms to a king, they were much better which improved the overall quality of the comfort.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Awesome staff outstanding breakfast
7,0 Good
Pros: Loved the breakfast buffet and how it extended to 1pm on Sunday. Hotel has good location.
Cons: The Super Bowl was playing and they assured no reservations could be made at lobby bar, when we arrived we found at least 5 tables with a reserved seat sign. The staff at reception had no idea the pool was heated. It was chilly during our stay so we stayed away from pool. Found out an hour before we left that it was heated. Disappointing.
9,6 Excellent
Pros: Everything, very clean, fancy, the rooms are very Quiet. Also I loved the Friday night at the bar.
Cons: The access to the ballet
9,0 Excellent
Pros: Views are nice beds are comfortable they hold daily events also staff was helpful , pool , spa and real nice modern decor

Cons: Lack of lighting in the room to do make up.

4,0 Okay
Pros: I loved the decor and view and available parking
Cons: The front desk girls attitude and the hair from previous guest all over the bed it was disgusting we called for them to clean up the guy who came up real nice but no further apology nothing and our bed was full of it everywhere made me think dis they even clean anything else ruined the experience

8,0 Excellent
Pros: Location nice building nice people.
Cons: After one day room was not clean properly.
8,0 Excellent
Pros: Great location and walking distance from many of the historical sights. Lots to eat and see.
Cons: Room lock didn’t work, TV remote stopped working, the lighting in the room was very poor. As a young woman liking to place some make-up on, I could not see my face well enough. There is a small wall mounted mirror in the bathroom but sadly it’s positioned where it’s of no use to me. Another note... when heading to the airport a cab driver was summoned by the hotel personnel as my brother that lives there could not fit all of us with suitcases. The staff asked if my brother can follow the cab driver to the airport as he was taking some of us. I looked back and he proceeds to lean over and tell my brother that he is going to tip him! I didn’t find this out until later after I had paid for the cab ride plus a very good tip. I was not happy at all and would have refused this driver had I known. All in all this was the only bad thing that happened.
9,0 Excellent
Cons: View out the window
10,0 Excellent
Pros: I liked all the staff we met. My room was perfect. The food and food service was excellent. We were connected with a great tourist guide, Ramón. I will be recommending your hotel and it’s services to all people I meet who want to know about visiting Guadalajara
Cons: I can’t think of anything. I wish we could have stayed a few days longer but we were booked for a stay in Manzanillo
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Everything! Location, staff, historical beauty and charm - has it all! Everything is within walking distance Staff was beyond helpful. Can never thank enough in helping me plan vacation since last October. Genuinely exceptional Staff!!
Cons: Understandably so their plumbing may need some updating. I saw how the water would stand in shower after just a few minutes. Also, would explain sewage smell coming from bathroom. But is grand old hotel.

9,0 Excellent
Pros: The location to the old city Center is perfect and to walk to other areas. The lady who took care of the morning breakfast was very wonderful and accommodating us with our English and our poor Spanish! She also has a beautiful smile and works hard!
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Location, staff, rooms, breakfast, room service
Cons: Nothing
9,0 Excellent
Pros: The area was really close to the City and close to buses trains and all locations. It was on the first floor. Loved the room will definitely was happy.
Cons: The customer service there was not happy at all I would not want to stay there if they don't have a happy face. They need to have more experience in cheering their customers.
8,0 Excellent
Pros: It was centrally located. You can get to the Centro or the business area near Ave Chapultepec easily on foot if you are okay to walk about 1 kilometer in either direction. There is an underground metro station nearby, and there are plenty of taxis that pass by this area. I even saw a lot of foot and bicycle traffic throughout the day which tells me it's a safe area. The park in front has some statues of historic figures. There's a convenience store close by. If you have mother's milk, medication, or other items that need to stay cool you can leave them at the front desk. The big screen TV is bigger than what I own. The bed was clean, and free of bugs. The toilet was clean, and the shower had hot water. WiFi was good and I could connect from the street, or at least I could leave room and it still worked. As of 2020 it's an up to date place.
Cons: I enjoyed my stay, but there are some details that might bother some travelers. I didn't have a mini fridge, but I never use them anyway. If you have mother's milk, medication, or other items that need to stay cool you can leave them at the front desk. There is no microwave, but if you are eating frozen burritos you are missing out on the local food. I ate at the restaurant in the hotel, but it was later in the morning so my impression might not be accurate there. I think they do their best, and it's very clean. Someone wrote that the street noise was bothersome, but I found it charming. It really wasn't that noisy, except when emergency vehicles went by, but it's actually quieter than where I live in the USA.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: We had a pleasent stay. The rooms were big and very clean, not noisy, the staff was friendly and always willing to help.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: I select the Portobelo Hotel every time I travel to Guadalajara. I have stayed there on 4 different occasions, and I had a very good experience every single time.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: I really enjoyed my stay at this hotel! The room was very modern in design. The bed was very comfortable with nice sheets. Little touches, like all the lighting being controllable from the bed were much appreciated. The staff were very nice and I really liked the location as it was central to a lot of attractions. Without thinking I would stay there again.
Cons: I wish the restaurant on the ground floor offered better meal options.

Pros: We've stayed here many times. The facilities are charming and eclectic, the breakfast is fantastic (pancakes, eggs, yogurt, granola all included), love the free drink offer upon arrival. We used to get the mango margarita (delicious!), but the bartender was sad to say he couldn't make us one this time because mangoes were not in season. So they always use fresh, never frozen! Also just a five minute walk to the square and shopping street.

Pros: This hotel has a great service. Even though we arrived before check-in time, we were allowed to get our room. At great 5 to 10 minute walking distance to downtown. Our room had a good view and very clean! Price was definitely worth it!
7,4 Good
Pros: Great location.... Walk 1 1/2 short blocks and your at the beginning of the tourist walking street attractions. Abouts 7 blocks in a row with Plazas, Churches, Fountains, Museums, Restaurants, Sculptures and Government Buildings with murals not to be missed. Rooms away from elevators are quiet, ask for 5th floor or higher, really any view is fantastic but the preferred Church steeple view rooms are hard if not impossible to get. I arrived to the hotel at 10am and had to wait until half past 11 to get a room away from the loud elevator. No View of Church Spires but got room 706 and saw another church a few blocks away and some impressive mountain views.
Cons: Slipped a little on wet bathroom floor, grabbed for towel rack and the bar came off in my hand. Someone else had done the same slipping motion, pulled the towel rack off the wall and the Hotel Staff never fixed the towel rack, Housekeeping just keeps putting clean towels on the loose bar and its an accident waiting to happen, Could you imagine dropping that bar on your foot... Three out of four light bulbs in the room were burnt out, woman at front desk with long curly hair is not trying in any way to earn any customer service points. The rest of the Hotel Staff was excellent. Really slept well regardless of the pillows from hell. Oh and the towels are old and worn. And my sheets were torn and it looked like someone steam ironed a candy wrapper to fix the hole.

9,2 Excellent
Pros: The staff and the hotel are amazing. The staff make you feel like you are the only person staying there.

Pros: N/a
Cons: The room didn't have a window, the curtain didn't have a shower, we ordered a deluxe room and were given a standard and then were told that they wouldn't change the room for us despite the extra money we paid, the staff was very unfriendly and dishonest.
5,0 Okay
Pros: The staff were friendly. Pretty rooftop.

Pros: We were upgraded to a better room, after a slight mishandling of our reservation, so got to enjoy a better than normal accommodation. Nicely decorated and set up hotel.

2,5 Mediocre
Pros: Looked like a nice place
Cons: Score of 0.0!!! I thought I had used the pet friendly filter with this property but apparently I did not. When I booked it four days in advance, I sent a message to the hotel stating that I had a friendly dog. If the Hotel would’ve responded within two days, I could have canceled the reservation with no fees. But that didn’t happen, which seems like nobody reads the messages. When I tried to check in, they would not let me with my dog so I left and had to find a different hotel that was pet friendly. I did not realize I would be charged the full rate as if I stayed there. When I try to contest it with booking.com and Hilton, they responded to booking.com saying that I had checked out the next morning, which was a lie! They would not remove any charges. No offers or coupons from either company. I will never stay at a Hilton again or use booking.com again!

Pros: Impressively appointed for the low price! Very friendly staff! We'll be back.
Cons: No mini fridge
8,8 Excellent
Pros: Great but a little far away from downtown.
Cons: Really clean
8,2 Excellent
Pros: The room was very clean. The bed was comfortable. The shower great. Overall great room. The staff at the front desk were awesome and so were the men who took care of the cars. I would not call them valets because they seemed to do a lot of different things, but they were awesome.
Cons: There is a disco somewhere near and it was a little noisy. Not so bad but if I would have ear plugs it would have been better.
6,0 Good
Pros: Decent spacious and clean room, central location
Cons: A lot of noise from other guests, coming from different directions (bathroom, window, hallway).. I normally don't get bothered by noise, but this was too much. It spoiled my stay here. The hotel also has seen better days, feels a bit tired.
7,0 Good
Cons: Room was always cold and humid, our clothes were moist, the mattress and pillows are very uncomfortable they need to be change, other then this the room and cleanness is a plus and the stuff were always good.
8,8 Excellent
Pros: The rooms were nice and clean, just as the photos show. We went to the restaurant for dinner, and that was really, really good with a wide variety of Mexican dishes. The breakfast buffet was good, too, with hot and cold items. The prices for both of those were great. Dinner for 20 people was 2429 pesos, or about $130; breakfast for 20 was 1829 pesos or $100. It wasn't far to walk to the cathedral area and lots of great sites. I didn't go out walking at night, but during the day it seemed to be a safe neighborhood. It was nice, too, that they had a computer down in the lobby that anyone could use.
Cons: The staff was friendly at first, but seemed to grow less so as I had more requests/needs. We had a large group, though, so as the coordinator, it wasn't really a lot to ask for the number of people we had (I wasn't just being high maintenance). Part of the issue may have been that their English wasn't so good and my Spanish isn't so good. Whatever it was, it wasn't the best experience of service. Also, the street seemed noisy at night, but as we went to other towns, by comparison, it wasn't. Mexico is just kind of a noisy place.
8,0 Excellent
Pros: It was Clean
Cons: I have to leave the car key
9,7 Excellent
Pros: The location was amazing, close to all the main places for my visit
Cons: The room was kind of small
6,0 Good
Pros: Staff is super friendly and will try their best to please you. grsuoer nice and happy staff.
Cons: breakfast not included, Internet barely works, cable doesn't work most of time, AC wasn't working well.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Nice hotel with very attentive staff. Our room was spacious (we especially appreciated having good Wifi and enough desk space for two people) and the beds were really comfortable. The air conditioning worked perfectly, and the room seemed well-soundproofed and had good blackout drapes - we had a really good night's sleep.
Cons: The room safe was a bit fiddly to use.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: The cost and location were great, and the staff was very helpful. The rooms were also quite comfortable.
Cons: The bed sheets could have been longer, and occasionally there might be a problem getting something to work perfectly.

7,5 Good
Pros: Funky artwork everywhere, friendly staff, many of whom speak English. Beds are fine, good breakfast, a fun place to stay!
Cons: Some rooms are pretty dark and gloomy... we stayed for five nights, and they kindly moved us to a suite with an outside window for our last four nights.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Well located in the zapopan area of guadalajara, good for groups or business stays. Every room has a bathroom, giving a lot of privacy for everyone
Cons: Some people on the room above were noisy and doing strange cleanings past midnight.
5,0 Okay
Pros: Rooms were large like a whole apartment. Good location.
Cons: The property itself was complicated to get around. It was in a great location but the structure itself seemed run-down. Their was a parking structure but it was hard to maneuver in because it was so narrow and small. Breakfast was terrible. The elevator kept breaking down when we were there, someone actually got stuck there for hours. We had 1 bedroom on the 5th floor so we had to keep hauling up the 6 flight of stairs. The front desk and staff were terrible. I checked in at 4 and I had to wait almost 2 hours for my room, wasting 2 hours of my day. Not to mention, someone in my reservation forgot a jacket, and when we came back it was “gone”. Although only they had access to the room. Asked to speak to the manager and he never showed up, no where to be found. Very dishonest people on the staff. Absolutely wouldn’t recommend anyone stay here.
8,0 Excellent
Pros: Everything else. Especially its proximity to all the tourist attractions and other important landmarks.
Cons: Food was quite ordinary and require some improvement in hygiene. I found human hair in one time but I don't consider it as a very serious issue. However overall hygiene standard must be maintained for daily breakfast. they gave me water only for the first day and all the remaining two days I had to buy it. Considering this is a minor thing I do not see this as a major issue.
6,0 Good
Pros: The location was great and they had free parking. The bed was king size and very comfortable. Staff was able to check us in with no issues and it was quick
Cons: The room itself was not up to par. The kitchen had some stains and the flooring was lifting from multiple places. I think the most uncomfortable thing was that the entry door was made of glass which you could see from the outside. Honestly, I would have choosen a different hotel overall it was not the best and not to mention the elevator did not function properly.

Pros: A beautiful location, relatively central, and very peaceful.
Cons: The staff did not do a great job at following-up with issues, even after repeated requests.
7,1 Good
Pros: The location, the swimming pool and the breakfast included in the rate. It was not bad but definitely not great... Would think it twice to return...
Cons: but the room was in an old tower and nothing like the pictures from the web... We expected something really different for the price we paid... The pool was really cold and crowded, not one waiter to take a drink in the gardens or pool...The waiter from the restaurant was almost rude asking for the room number and a tip after we had NO service from him (buffet)...
