Room 2 single and small
I booked a cooked breakfast which was excellent. I wasn’t going to, but I was influenced by the lunch I had just prior to booking in- it was really good. So much so that I decided to have dinner at the Green Room as well. I paid a bit extra for a steak, which was sensational, locally sourced and perfectly cooked. The food here is just amazing. Everything else- room, bathroom, etc. was just perfect- and by the way I’m 71 and pretty fussy.
I struggle to offer even a constructive criticism of this establishment- they are doing everything right. Service is friendly, efficient and intelligent. Food is great, my room was fine. Ah! the car park is difficult when crowded- treat it as a challenge to your driving skills! Still I managed to get a long-wheelbase Land-Rover tucked away eventually, though it did take a bit of time and thought. I won’t be staying anywhere else when I’m in Yeovil.
Bed was comfy, bath was big and water piping hot
The menu was set and no anytime food
Really friendly staff, weren’t disturbed. The room was cleaned daily and very little noise in the hotel. Great location for town centre - breakfast was lovely
The double bed was a little small and the towel rail in the bathroom was really noisy
The staff are excellent, the restaurant is a joy, which is why I booked for a third time
On this occasion Room 5 was unheated from late evening to early morning. The bed only had a summer weight duvet and therefore the combination ensured I had a cold sleepless night.
