10,0 Excellent
Pros: The facilities for kids are outstanding. The restaurants are all excellent Staff amazing with the kids Will be back next year if we can get a good deal
Cons: The village square needs to be closed off to stop kids running out so easily Gowns in the villas would be great too.
9,3 Excellent
Pros: Everything you need in a kitchen
Cons: Nothing
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Fantastic place to bring kids. The entire resort is kid-centric, from diaper pails to baby gates to plastic cups for kids. Also, the playground was great with the trampolines and bouncy house. The kids played for hours while we enjoyed ourselves.
Cons: There seemed to be a bit of nickle-and-diming, such as only being allotted two washer tablets and the beach seats costing 10-15€.
8,3 Excellent
Pros: Great location! Close to town.
Cons: We were confused after arriving to the property in the evening and being told that we couldn’t be accommodated in the restaurant since it was full...yet we walked past the restaurant on the way to our room and it was almost empty. Instead, we were encouraged to get room service at 8pm upon arrival. We ended up heading over to the town for dinner, which was excellent. In the end, it all worked out...but after driving over 7 hours from the Douro region and being very hungry (w/ room around ~$650 a night), we are still scratching our heads as to why the front desk couldn’t help and the restaurant couldn’t accommodate two people staying on property for dinner after dark.
9,5 Excellent
Pros: Staff were excellent. Very child friendly environment and a lot of thought went into the set up. Villas were very comfortable and kept clean
Cons: Bit more expensive then we thought and half board arrangement was difficult to understand and get full value from
9,3 Excellent
Pros: It was very well set up for families. The accommodation was spacious and comfortable. The pools were lovely. Our oldest had a great time in the kids club!
Cons: The wind! We weren't prepared for how windy it was. It's not the fault of the resort though!
8,8 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful resort, very friendly staff. Amazing for families.
Cons: Food at the restaurants is ok, but not overwhelming. The main playground by the restaurants should be covered.
9,5 Excellent
Pros: Comfortable, spacious accommodation and great facilities for young children.
6,8 Good
Pros: Facilities like kids playgrounds and swimming pools were good. Staff very polite. The beach is very nice.
Cons: False advertisement: We booked this place at EUR 620 per night under the assumption that the kids club would be included. It wasn't and there was nothing to indicate that on the site. Very disappointing. The facilities were good, but five stars is a stretch. Restaurants were mediocre but expensive. The drive from Faro was long and the EUR 150 shuttle each way didn't help (again at that room price, you should include that type of service). The wind is persistent and pretty unbearable if you're thinking about relaxing on the beach.
9,3 Excellent
Pros: Very nice compound and gardens fitting perfectly into the landscape. Enough facilities esp. pools to avoid overcrowding. Nice "town square"/meeting place with playground/kids activities and surfer bar. Employees are professional and very friendly.
Cons: Cleanliness esp. in pools areas can be improved. Nearly all activities with extra cost, sometimes much too expensive. Mediocre price/quality ratio in onsite restaurants - I am willing to pay extra for food but then it should be excellent. With a rental car it is just a short trip to Sagres with a ton of very good restaurants at a much better price.

10,0 Excellent
Pros: The accommodations are very comfortable and in a great location. The staff are friendly and welcoming. Perfect place for a stay in Sagres!
6,3 Good
Pros: Nothing
Cons: The wi-fi is working only in the common area (as mentioned) - which is a tiny part, but even the personal network coverage was very poor, barely working. The towels were harsh and yellow (once they were white) No TV channels Bed linen having a strange smell
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Friendly and helpful, we got an early checkin and a good description of the area. We also could leave our bagage in the location after check out. Lovely green garden to rest in and near the surfbeach Tonel.
10,0 Excellent

8,0 Excellent
Pros: Nice all round
10,0 Excellent
Pros: There was such a wide variety of fresh food at breakfast.
6,8 Good
Pros: Great place in astonishing position. Gorgeous breakfast and wonderful garden but the structure has some insufficient point.
Cons: The wi fi did not work in the room. The bathroom towels were not changed in 3 days. One light did not work in the room and despite it was noticed it was not fixed. In the swimming pool there was a run in the morning to occupy the good bed covered from the strong wind. The track to the seaside it’s not well maintained. I don’t know if I will choose again this hotel.
9,3 Excellent
Pros: Lovely location. Great bedding and room
9,5 Excellent
Pros: Good staff, nice and clean rooms with good beds
Cons: Our rooms only had a shower
8,0 Excellent
Pros: Great cliff views from the lobby and decks. Great location to explore western beaches.
Cons: We couldn’t eat breakfast outside and our room looked out over a trampoline and kids area which competed with the pretty sea views.
8,0 Excellent
Pros: If you are really into design as we are, the name of this hotel will be deceiving. This feels more like a resort than a design hotel. We were expecting a boutique place, and while the property is simple, it feel like a giant hotel - run of the mill. The staff however are lovely and helpful. Everyone very kind. Just not the hotel we were looking for. This would be great for some - just not those looking for an interesting place
7,0 Good
Pros: Beautiful views and great breakfast
Cons: Overpriced for what the experience delivered. Little personal attention and bare minimum provisions in the room. No fruit, pencil and paper and low cost modular room layout.
8,8 Excellent
Pros: Easy parking out front. Great pizza and great view. There was a very funny waiter in the bar/restaurant who made some great jokes/remarks. Nice small beach, directly outside of the hotel are some restaurants, bars and shops which is convenient.
Cons: Expensive.
9,3 Excellent
Pros: Clean and confortable room best breakfast. The restaurant team is perfect.
Cons: We have to wait 25m for a lock repair in check-in.
Pousada Sagres - Sagres - Bedroom
4
8,7 Excellent (918 reviews)
R1 997+
Overview Reviews
The Pousada de Sagres, located in the Vila de Sagres, is just 5 minutes on foot from the beach, with views of the Fortaleza de Sagres and of the Farol do Cabo de São Vicente. It is one of the most intimate Pestana Charming Hotels, where you can admire the Ilhas do Martilhal, the Ponta da Atalaia, the Serra de Monchique and breathtaking sunsets from your hotel room in Sagres. During your stay, you can enjoy the outdoor swimming pool, play some tennis or relax at the Magic Wellness Spa. For dinning, the Pousada offers both a restaurant and bar.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: We both loved the setting and style of the place, the fact that it is so quiet and surrounded by cliffs adds to the total relaxed feeling of Sagres and the hotel. It feels like you are going back in time without losing modern day comfort. A romantic place and one were you can truly unwind.
9,3 Excellent
Pros: The location, friendly staff, good breakfast, nice dinner.
Cons: The room and bathroom were a tiny bit disappointing as to amenities, toiletries and standard, taking into account the price.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Quiet
Cons: Coffee machine in the room
10,0 Excellent
Pros: The location is stunning. The staff most helpful. The room was comfortable but dated. The bed was comfy.
Cons: Lousy WiFi. Super slow and you have to constantly reconnect. Windy local.
5,8 Okay
Pros: Location and views are amazing: 2 beaches, cliffs, Sagres fortress, St Vincent Cape, etc. Breakfast was OK.
Cons: Pet friendly concept, it is completely NOT APPLICABLE. Hotel does not offer any service for pets: no plates for food or water, no bed/blanket, etc. It is hardly allowed to move around facilities with the dog. They charge 25 €/night, highest rate by far I have seen after many stays with my dog across Europe. Smell in the room (2nd floor) was awful (like a sewer) every time toilet was flushed. Check-in took almost 20 minutes for simple computer bureaucracy.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Very well located. It is a very historical building which I enjoyed. The room was very comfortable. Sagres was so magical. I will return!
7,5 Good
Pros: Good location and the dinner and breakfasts we had were good.
Cons: The swimming pool could have been warmer
3,8 Mediocre
Pros: The view
Cons: 1. Really not worth the 515$/night 2.wifi kept on dropping every 5 minutes, very annoying 3. Bathrooms badly need renovation: the shower was leaking and there was holes in the ceramic walls 4. Room phone was not working 5. Mattress was uncomfortable , looked like it was 30 years old. 6. The overall hotel needs renovation ... it’s nothing like the other pousada’s 7. There’s no bell man ... for 515$/night the service is mediocre 8. It’s the massage therapist who brings you to your room after the check in and give you a pitch about her services and products... not exactly what I was looking for after a long day travelling ...and she Strongly smelled cigarette! 9. The worst pousada I’ve been to in Europe !
7,0 Good
Pros: Location. Pool area.
Cons: Value for money - way too expensive. Bathrooms were poor. Breakfast was very poor. The whole place felt run down and seen better days.
Mareta Beach Boutique Bed & Breakfast - Sagres - Building

8,6 Excellent (1 216 reviews)
R1 044+

When you stay at Mareta Beach Boutique Bed & Breakfast in Sagres, you'll be near the beach, within a 10-minute drive of Cape St. Vincent Lighthouse and Martinhal Beach. Featured amenities include a computer station, a 24-hour front desk, and multilingual staff.
4,3 Okay
Pros: Decent breakfast, bathroom is decent size
Cons: The hotel staff was not very friendly when we checked in late. The room looks very small compared to picture and has a weird smell. The balcony is tiny, with view of the street. Also the rooms do not have good sound proof so you can hear other people's steps when they walk in the hall. Complimentary breakfast was okay but there was no clean table when we arrived so we had to clean up the plates ourselves. In addition, breakfast was served in the basement in a dark room with no window or view of the sea. While the hotel is very close to the beach, there is no shower facility in case you already check out of your room. This is our case - the hotel didn't allow us to check out late so we had to leave at noon. Overall disappointed experience.
9,5 Excellent
Pros: I wish we could have stayed here longer. This was my favorite place to stay during our week long trip to the Algarve region in Portugal. The pool was magnificent. And we loved the location. And I loved that the front desk person said when we checked out, "see you next year".
5,8 Okay
Pros: Cleanliness and location
Cons: 95€ for a b&b is very pricey, by any standard, so value for money is poor, even though the place itself is quite nice. Sagres itself is overrated, one of those over-exploited tourist traps.
8,3 Excellent
Pros: The location is superb. Right beside the beach. The town is tiny so it’s easy to walk everywhere. The rooms were clean and comfortable and the common areas were bright and clean.
Cons: The fridge didn’t work and the wardrobe space was almost non existent in our room. The sockets only worked when the keycard was in its slot so we had to get a second key (given somewhat reluctantly) in order to charge devices while we were out.
5,5 Okay
Cons: Really bad and rude service.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: The food!
Cons: Everything closes early
9,5 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast was very good and fresh, everyone can find something she/he likes, the service is both friendly and professional. Room was clean an bed was very comfortable:), hotel located 5 min walk from beach, in close area cafes and restaurants; we spent amazing 5 days in the hotel and we really enjoyed the stay.
Cons: Nothing to complain
8,0 Excellent
Pros: Very close to the Centre and the beach.
Cons: Room towards the Road. A bit trafic. But fair. Nice and clean, but no sharm. The city and Nature and culture are everything.
8,0 Excellent
Pros: Close to everything .. Mareta beach 2mins away
Cons: Free drink voucher for bar / pool next door was a for half a beer ....boooooo
7,0 Good
Pros: Lovely white clean rooms. Good pool area.
Cons: No WiFi in bedroom. Breakfast in dark basement - only bread, pastries, old fruit and warm yoghurts. No selection and poor value. Asked about eggs but told maybe next year!

5,5 Okay
Pros: Big room, with a large bedroom and 2 sofa beds in the main room.
Cons: No hot shower past ~ 10pm. Not sure what the reason was since there was hot water during the day. The shower head was barely working and there was no shower hook. The walls must be extremely thin because we could hear EVERYTHING from the other rooms. There was a smell, like mold.
6,8 Good
Pros: Good value overall... if it’s not too windy and the water is not too cold, you can enjoy their great swimming pool. Breakfast included was great.
