How i ended up paying 309 euros from a 186 euros reservation i still cant figure. made me pay 65 euros because i went to pick it up an hour LATER than scheduled! they even tried to trick me into paying for extra insurance! when i told her i book for 186 euros then she was forced to reveal the truth hell with a couple 100s more i could buy a car instead of renting it for 3,5 days wouldn't rent again from those azzhles in a million years a big F U from me

The pickup was very easy; helpful staff. Drop-off was a big problem: No staff at all at Linz-Hoersching airport: The booth was even dismantled. No-one warned us about this and it took a long time before someone could tell us over the phone what to do with the car. Still waiting for the damage deposit to be credited to my account.See above

I generally like Sixt, I have been renting cars from them for more than 5 years now when the price is right. I like the service, simplicity of the procedures, friendliness of the staff, and absence of long queues (usually).I am still waiting to get my deposit back (more than 36 hours after the drop-off). I also found a couple of scratches that were not marked on my contract, and had to wait for a long time (and make three calls) until someone came up from the office to check and mark them.

Flexibility in making the deal, support of employees in office (Lyon - France - Train centre)No options of cars. They didn’t informus about charges at boarders, they might not know about it, but it’s inportant for future.

BEWARE OF PREPAY!!!!!!! DON'T EVER PREPAY A CAR RENTAL!!!!!!We prepaid rental fee for convenience and value; HOWEVER, we incurred health issues forcing us to shorten our stay in Europe....(We rented the car in Vienna, Austria, and were to return it to Prague). We had to return the car early in Vienna....on August 3, instead of returning it in Prague on August 6. We were told there could be no adjustment to the cost, because we had prepaid, and since it cost us less to rent, there could be no adjustment for days not used. Also, the fact that the car was returned to Vienna , rather than Prague (increased fee incurred for return to a different location).....no adjustment or refund could be considered. Staff at Sixt said that that information was in agreement; however, was not clearly stated. So, this company was able to rent this car for double fees for 3 days, plus retained the fee for return to different location, when, in fact, the car was returned to original site of rental. I believe that the public should be made aware of the fact the prepaying can cost MORE money rather than saving. We have travelled to Europe many times to visit family in the past 20 years, and, fortunately have never had to shorten our trip due to health issues. The Sixt staff was very curt and unsympathetic, telling me that there was simply nothing that could be done because of the prepayment/lower cost factor. Final comment: IT DOESN'T PAY TO PREPAY! BUYER BEWARE!!! Also, staff at return counter extremely unfriendly. Also, "Top off coolant" alert present on dash entire trip... telephoned for advice...was told it was OK to drive unless engine got hot, and were told to monitor the water level in the radiator.....THIS IS ONE UNHAPPY CUSTOMER!
