Perfect location and very friendly helpful staff
Our "honeymoon suite" only had a bath - no shower.
The location is brilliant.
Breakfast is nothing to speak about - coffee, tea and a bun is not really breakfast but the location made up for this.
We had a lovely large room overlooking the canal with two floor-to-ceiling windows that opened out to a "French balcony" Paul was extremely helpful and gave us lots of advice on what to do and see in Venice. The location was superb - walking distance to everything in the city, but not in a congested area - lots of restaurants close by.
Pleasant staff especially Paul the evening attandent. He is Venitian and offered tons of info about Venice and sites we should visit-charming gentleman. Hotel location was 5 min from the car park and 5 min walk to an evaporato stop. We paid a premium for a room with a canal view and it was large, clean, and with a great view-sunsets out the front windows. Also continental breakfast included. We had great warm weather, but we had to ask for the air conditioning to be turned on-they accomodated our request. For the most part, I enjoyed my stay, and would probably stay there again.
We were on the third floor and there wasn't an elevator. This can be a challange for lots of americans-Europeans are used to it. One day we didn't have hot water, and there were only 6 rooms in the hotel? We weren't offered any compensation, but by the afternoon, it was available. One of the canals next to the hotel is an entrance to the Grand Canal, and during the week, in the early morning., there's lots of boat traffic. They beep their boat horns to let other boaters know they are coming around the corner.-maybe 20-25 boats every morning for about a half hour. Also the bathroom doesn't offer an enclosed shower only a "shower wand",with no shower curtain, so the floor gets very wet.
Nice and spacious room, new bathroom, nice view. Very friendly and helpfull staff. Air conditioning functionig very good. Easy to find, not far from bus terminal. In general, very nice small lovely hotel.
