We arrived about 7pm on Saturday evening and the three dining rooms were full with dinner reservations but we were pleasantly received and shown upstairs to our large and well appointed room and a table was set up in one dining room for us to have dinner.
Nothing could have been better. We definitely would return if we revisit Venice area. The location is very convenient to the airport.
Dinner at the restaurant was excellent; some of the best gnocchi I have ever had. There were mostly locals from the surrounding area eating there. The hotel is old in a good way and beautiful. It is located in the country at the end of a long, meandering, single lane road. The drive to the airport the next morning through the farmland was enchanting. My single room and the bathroom were small but adequate. The staff are very friendly.
I think the breakfast could be improved. The breakfast was on the meager side and could have used more variety. There should be more than rolls and pre-packaged yogurt available. I would have liked fresh fruit, plain Greek yogurt, meat and cheese. The espresso was very good.
Breakfast was fine - assorted fruits, yogurt. Maybe some cheese or bread would have been a good addition. Coffee was exceleent.
They do not provide shuttle to airport. They did call me a taxi, though. It is a little expensive to get there - about 30 euros.
Everything was as represented on the other reviews and the property photos. There was no staging, we got was expected and then some. The owner made us feel comfortable and the staff even more. The restaurant was a wonderful adventure each meal and they make their own wine! Patricia and Delia are both gems!! The friendly kitties were an added bonus to me. Cesar even let us give him a belly rub!
Our last morning was the regular staff's day off and the woman, who'd be checking us out, I want to call her Barbara, but I don't think that's her name, was very matter of fact, cold almost. That's unfortunate, for someone so young.
When I called, they got an interpreter for me as they didn’t speak English. Dalia was very welcoming and made the best macchiato!!!
