Hotel position, room and view overlooking canal, breakfast and very helpful friendly staff. Convenient for railway station and several good restaurants close by. We have stayed here before and hope to do so again.
Nothing really but two small observations are: 1) the separate private bathroom was sometimes very hot as did not have external ventilation. 2) Room safe was welcomed but was quite small so only essential documents could be stored.
Great location and more importantly great staff.
location. it was right on to the water.
breakfast. no elevator for luggage
a great hotel and friendly staff at a very convenient location
As a bonus , Carolina offered us a room with more privacy up on the rooftop for the same cost as a standard room - this I think was in part because we were staying for 5 nights and in part because in the course of chatting I revealed that a friend highly recommended the hotel from visits 20 years and 15 years prior- he recommended the friendly professionalism of 2 sisters who ran it back then , and the quiet neighbourhood. As walkers, and being reasonably fit, we did not mind the 15 min walk to the Rialto area- in fact we welcomed it. Like many if not most hotels in Venice there is no elevator, so of course I recommend considering this when choosing luggage . Sisters Martina and Carolina are still running the hotel. Breakfast is included, water is hot, service is daily to the room, beds are firm, there is very good air conditioning and a Vaporetto stop across the canal with a short walk to cross over and back to the hotel. I would return here again without hesitation. If you like being right in the hustle and bustle, with less time in the city , less keen on walking and a tight agenda , you might choose somewhere closer in to Rialto or St Marks. I certainly felt like I was returning home each evening, to a quiet oasis in the midst of a heavily touristed city.
