Spirit of the place Amazing location (though we couldnt sleep) Sweet traditional breakfast straight to your bed was a kind suprise Very attentive and helpfull staff
We didnt sleep all night long - very hot in the room, no aircon, terribly noisy attic fan, open windows all night, mosquitos, drunk people until 5am, first waiters opening terraces from 6am, tourists from 8am. This is the first floor and the stony walls in the 0iazza do the best acoustic job:) This is a quite shabby hotel, you can feel the weird smell Very tiny room Very lowcost bathroom amenities No elevator
Eating breakfast served on a silver platter and looking at the Academia Bridge and watching the Grand Canal boat traffic at the same time, are you kidding me? What's not to LOVE!? Pretty sure I had the smallest room possible, but it didn't matter! Location, location, location, view, view, VIEW! If you're planning on going to the Guggenheim, this is about 25 meters away!
Mosquitoes at night, it'd be nice to have a mosquito net or air conditioning. They provide a plug in aroma citronella device, but I plugged it in too late.
Excellent location by a landmark bridge, close to attractions and transport links. Room as described and you get what you pay for.
We were only given keys to the room and entry to the hotel was via a buzzer. This meant there was a wait at times to be let in. A few of the fittings could do with updating, the lamps didn't work very well and the fan in the room wasn't very strong.
The location was fantastic on the Grand canal by the vaproretto stop. I loved this side of Venice where locals live, it was perfect to integrate into the pure culture and lifestyle. It was a charming Venetian style Hotel with traditional decor with a beautiful view outside my window. The rooms other than the one I had looked spacious.
My room was beyond small, literally not enough space around the bed and toilet to move and be comfortable. On the site it said it was a small single room, however, this was super small and with no air conditioning in July, it was uncomfortable. In my opinion, it was too small to be used at the price I paid. The price should have been much lower. I would consider staying there again in a different room in Spring or Fall. It would be necessary to list it as NO Air Conditioning, it was not 100% clear as it was listed - with fan.
Gorgeous hotel in a great location. Very friendly, welcoming and attentive staff. Fantastic breakfast delivered to the room for a very reasonable price. Thank you for a lovely stay.
Rooms were very hot as there’s no air-conditioning but I would still stay here again.
With a stay at Hotel Galleria in Venice (Dorsoduro), you'll be steps from Grand Canal and Academy Gallery. Featured amenities include a 24-hour front desk and luggage storage.
