nice clean room. Although at the front side you have traffic, it is well isolated. The breakfast is marvelous, well sorted. To bad I could stay one night only
Good price, clean room, nicely located between the rail station the and center of Valkenburg (very easy 5 min walk), easy 15 min rail trip to Maastricht
The location of the hotel was ideal as it was near the train/bus station and the town center. The room was clean and there were 2 pillows per person. There was a good selection of channels on the tv in the room, including English channels. We liked being able to help ourselves to tea/coffee at breakfast. We were allowed to leave our suitcase with the hotel staff on our last day. This was very helpful as there were no luggage lockers at the station.
The shower in our bathroom kept switching from dangerously hot to cold. The tv was tiny and difficult to watch. The corridors and our room looked old, and in places needed refurbishing. Beds were very soft and pillows quite hard. There was no mini-bar in the room and apparently no room service (except perhaps breakfast). No food or drinks from outside the hotel were allowed in the room. The breakfast was ok, but was quite limited (E.G. no croissants, pastries, not much fresh fruit). Also, my b/f really missed having ketchup with his scrambled eggs and bacon. The kettle in our room was good but they only give you a small kit with tea (2 bags) and coffee. After this, you have to pay 1 eur per kit. Overall opinion: price too high for quality.
A good breakfast with plenty of choice
Had to ask for tea & coffee for the room. Uncomfortable split beds.
Nice, quiet location, reasonable parking.
