We were scheduled to arrive at this resort in early April, coming from the US. First off, there was a travel ban, and a global pandemic. They wouldn’t give me a refund, but would allow me to postpone my reservation..by 6 months. That is utterly ridiculous! We will not be traveling anywhere within the next 6 months. I had a whole trip planned to Singapore and Bali, and every other hotel/ lodging and airlines gave us full refund, no questions asked. I would never stay here again, and would not recommend it. So irritating and what a waste of money.
I loved everything! It is a real island of peace and calm and the food here is the best I've tried in Bali. The staff is very friendly and professional, always attentive to the customers' needs.
It's a bit more of a family place, there were a lot of children.
This place was awesome and I will go there again and take more advantage of the yoga and meditation. The room was great for our family of 4. They give you coffee and tea to your door in the morning.
The food was very healthy and their menu wasn’t very selective. As we needed to work the strongest internet was in the cafe. So we had to go there in the morning to work. Which wasn’t a big deal but it would have been nice for stronger internet
My mother got a very nice cake for her birthday. I had 2 rooms which was 2 different worlds. One Deluxe Double Room that was nice and one Standard Double Room that was terrible. If you like cats and flies walking on top of your breakfast buffet, you have come to the right place! The photo is from the terrace with the included "Garden View" :-/ This review is only for the the room I stayed in and not the Deluxe Double Room that was really nice. There was no help to get from the reception when I asked for another room.
The 2nd room I'd booked was a Standard Double Room with Fan. This is the room I stayed in and it was called Wayan. First, I wanted to book 2 Deluxe rooms but that was not possible at the moment. We had been flying half around the world to get to Bali. We have a 3 year old that do not sleep so well during nights so here me and my wife wanted to finally have vacation and to get a few nights of sleep. In room Wayan you can just forget that you will sleep! The standard of this room is far from what I'm used to. This room is on the second floor behind the reception, just above the toilets of the restaurant. The Bathroom has an opening in the roof and Just outside the bathroom is where all the workers are spending there time when they are not doing their chores. This means that from 06.00 it sounds like there is people in your room talking constantly. Walls are very very thin, just made out of grass/palm leaves and in the bathroom there is holes that I had to block with paper so people couldn't watch while having a shower. Well, I had half a shower once since there is absolutely no water pressure. You can forget to wash your hair in this shower. The bed is rather small and if you like animals, this is the perfect bed for you. Every night I had to empty the bed from 30 flying ants. If you love the sound of Geckos, this is perfect for you, they are "singing" all night long in your Bedroom. I really hope you like normal ants as well since you will have to remove 1000 ants before you use the toilet (not kidding here, insane amount of ants crawling on and in the toilet) They had installed an aircondition that was either freezing cold or warm. The view from the terrace is straight in to the side of the neighbor house, not the pretty side but the side with all the electric cables and stuff going in to the house and like written before, just above the public toilets.
The food was AMAZING! and the place is entirely lovely.
