It provided a very authentic experience and it was great to have breakfast delivered to your room. The hosting family were very friendly and helpful but in no way overbearing fully respecting your privacy as a guest. The location was excellent and very peaceful.
It would have been nice to have had more access to the sunbeds but appreciate that if the pool area was any bigger it would lose its charm and initimacy.
The pool area and outdoor area in general were charming.
1- Our room had windows without glass or screen so mosquitos and bugs could fly in as they pleased. We paid extra for a room with ac which was a waste since the room was technically unsealable! You can’t cool an open room with ac. When we mentioned the bug issue to staff, and the fact that I am pregnant and concerned about Zika, we were told “you brought bug spray, put it on.” Unacceptable response. Might as well have slept outside and saved good money. 2- The bathroom reeked! It smelled like the pipes needed to be flushed. 3- The mattress was too firm, it felt like sleeping on a wooden board without any give. 4- There is a policy that states if your plans change mid stay, they will charge you 80% of the next nights cost. When we decided to cut our stay short, we were charged 100%. 5- WiFi either didn’t work or was slow. 6- Breakfast is offered in your room, at the pool, or in the restaurant. We ordered it by the pool. We spoke with staff and were told due to many orders being put in at the same time, we would need to wait 30-45min for our food. We said no problem, and let staff know we would stay by the pool. Staff said they would bring us the food by the pool when it was ready. Instead, staff brought the food to our room, set it up on the outdoor table at our room, while we were down at the pool. Not a big deal, but when combined with everything else, it added to our bummer experience. Luckily I walked up to the room to get a wrap and found staff setting up our food, otherwise the bugs would have gotten to it first! Overall, my husband and I paid extra for this hotel, based on the photos, thinking we were going to have a nice room to stay in. The room we got looked nothing like the photos and our experience at the hotel was so disappointing, we left early. For reference, I have never left a hotel early. I don’t like giving a negative review, but I hope my honesty helps someone else avoid this experience.
Plastic bottles of water, instead of having a refill station.
A truly beautiful hotel, feels like living in a temple. Big rooms, lovely staff. Special thanks for Ketut`s son, who arranged all the trips and transport to Nusa Lembongan. There is a beautiful little swimming pool and a garden that it feels like a sacred place. Breakfast was served on your own terrace.
Lots of steps, if you have bad feet. I didn't mind: keeps you fit.
Staff were excellent. Nothing too much trouble - provided extra fan for room.
Needed a fridge in the room. Air-con should be included in price especially in high temps.
