The one time I ate breakfast, it was amazing. The staff was very accommodating for the need of an extra bed in the suite. Super friendly staff, and always giving great recommendations for food and what to see.
Staff was very friendly and helpful. Shuttle bus was very convenient. The food and drinks were excellent.
No, we liked everything
Beds weren’t the most comfortable, especially the pull out couch
Hotel staff extremely helpful and friendly. Excellent meals in the restaurant.
Even at $350 / night during the summer tourist season, know in advance what you're getting into. This is not a luxury hotel. This is a relatively pleasant hotel in an (expensive) tourist city. That said: the staff at Cambria are great. The rooms are dated but comfortable. The shuttle service is quite helpful to get to nearby locations.
The main drag in front of the hotel (Hwy 31 or E. Front St, or whatever it's referred to as) is dangerous. Cars speed by, paced just far enough apart to make crossing on foot nearly impossible. There appears to be no traffic enforcement anywhere. Walking to a restaurant or the beach is taking your life into your own hands. This is NOT the Cambria hotel's fault, but my wife and I were pretty disappointed with how totally unwalkable the area is. The hotel restaurant (described as the "best in Traverse City") is very average. But if you're a foodie, you're not going to be thrilled with Traverse City overall.
