The view from our room was amazing! Location is perfect, free parking at the weekend, the room was big and the breakfast (15$ if pre-booked) was stunning.
Room was quiet. This was paramount to me.
Did not have breakfast as checked out early
Had no problems all staff very friendly
Location is ideal for the CBD. Staff were friendly and helpful but over-stretched.
I expect it’s in the small print somewhere but the secure parking attracts an additional charge and you can’t access it without first going into the hotel to obtain a pass... but you need to park to do that! Fortunately being a couple I was able to go fetch the card while my husband drove loops until I could let him in, but would not be great for someone travelling alone. The on-street parking was all taken and (though it didn’t affect us) most of the spaces closest to the hotel cannot be used on Saturday nights because of the markets on Sunday mornings. We opted to include breakfast on the strength of previous reviews but we were disappointed. We queued a considerable amount of time to be seated by the poor lady who was running in all directions trying to manage the restaurant (apparently) alone. Once she had cleared and wiped a table for us, we still had no cutlery but didn’t like to bother her. All pastries were over-baked (dark and dry), the coffee machine produced an unremarkable liquid and while there was a reasonable variety of foods available (cereal, fruit, yoghurt, granola, self-serve toast with preserves, and warmers containing eggs, sausages, bacon etc.), as locals, we know we could have found much better (for less) in most of the eateries close by. The room was comfortable and relatively clean, but looked rather tired and shabby. The lighting was very poor (although having globes / bulbs out of action didn’t help) Aircon seemed to operate only as an on/off and on was much too cold for us. Had we been staying more than one night, we’d have asked the team to rectify some of the issues, but since we were only there for a few hours overnight, we didn’t bother.
Breakfast, but good value for what we paid
