Good value for money
The bunk beds were squeaky. The place was shabby/under construction.
Very clean, friendly, nice. We liked it.
Because there is no water the staff recommended to take a bath in a Manga internet shop and show us how to go there thru map.
The price is not high but....The room is too old that almost everything seems broken. The cabinet in the double room is broken and the bed is too noisy even just moving a little bit..we were not be able to take a bath nor brush our teeth because there is no water. And we have to go to convenient store just to pee. Very inconvenient.
Price is good and location is still decent enough for Tokyo. Also there is a very good ramen shop in the east 15min on foot. 7/11 is just around the corner.
The pillows were not very comfortable.
The hostel staff was was incredibly accommodating. There was a language barrier but you could tell that they did their best to understand what you needed. If you do need to contact them through booking.com, the owner replies fairly quickly. Also the location of the hostel was very nice. It was a short walk from the station and there were plenty of places to eat and a 7-11 within a few blocks.
The room we stayed at - dorm C, felt like it was just part of a hallway. There weren't any walls, just makeshift ones made by the beds. It was also located right beside the other rooms so there wasn't very much privacy. I'd suggest booking either dorms A or B if you could, as it they had a door and was an actual room. Also the light in dorm C was motion-captured so you'd need to move once every few minutes if you didn't want it to shut off on you. The beds were comfortable enough but the pillow was basically a bag of grains.
