Really kind and helpful staff. The location is in the center of Asakusa and the Onsen on the 6 floor is a must do! The room are comfortable and nice.
1) the location. We arrived from Narita airport. We took a direct train to Asakusa and then a couple of minutes walk. Asakusa is great, lots of restaurants and a good subway connection via the Ginza line to Sibuya etc. It was also near the Skytree. I prefer the “village feel” of Asakusa to the bright lights in other parts of Tokyo. 2) the Ryokan experience was great. We stayed for two nights and had the Japanese breakfast both mornings. The food was delicious! 3) The bath with a view of the Skytree. 4) The very friendly and helpfull staff.
Nice cozy rooms, very clean, perfect location, friendly staff. Thank you for a wonderful experience!
The room is big size with traditional style and also near Sensiji temple and famous restuarant in Asakusa.
Highly recommended guesthouse especially if you want to experience a lite version of a ryokan. Location couldn't be better, lots of food around, near to the metro, clean, and public bath available with a view.
We were not very sure how to operate something and checked in by calling the front desk around 10pm, due to the language barrier perhaps, we couldn't get an answer and tried our best to be polite but perhaps the service staff was frustrated as well but he abruptly hung up on the phone call and cut us off suddenly.
With a stay at Ryokan Asakusa Shigetsu in Tokyo (Asakusa), you'll be within a 5-minute walk of Sensō-ji Temple and Asakusa Shrine. The front desk is staffed during limited hours.
